Through the whispering willows,

 

 

 

A swan tells it's tale,

 

 

 

To all who will listen,

 

 

 

Near the pond he did sail,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of daring and courage,

 

 

 

Of pleasure and pain,

 

 

 

Of everyday living,

 

 

 

But how to explain,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The joys of the fellows,

 

 

 

The wandering few,

 

 

 

Who can tell no one,

 

 

 

The paths that they flew,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those who none follow,

 

 

 

With no place alone,

 

 

 

The lingering shadows,

 

 

 

Of a place they call home,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The pace growing faster,

 

 

 

The fox hits it's mark,

 

 

 

Around him is quiet,

 

 

 

The toad and the lark,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The final moments of living,

 

 

 

The grasp of the deep,

 

 

 

Though the silence betwixt them,

 

 

 

The willows did weep.
