  1. I congratulate you. Welcome to the club. It's like the Fight club. Stop talking [ranting] about it. Oops.
  2. Honestly, I was a pure. But the average pure name disguested me. Too many 0s, Xs, 1s, etc. So I found an origional one. (We're talking around 2004 here) So I created it, and didn't think much of this character until last year. I started it up, and it's pretty good. I'm now going into my 99 range goal when I get members back. So mine is at least pretty origional, ( When I made it, few people said haxx lol to my knowledge. ) So bam. My name in a nutshell.
  3. I started playing late '03 or early '04, I'm not sure which. I've had many accounts since then, getting to around level 85 on most. I've made my share of pures, and encountered an uncountable amount of scammers. I started playing through a guy who came from miniclip. I was about 13, 12 if I started in '03. The game wasn't perfect, and armour trimming and trust game scams were in full effect. As for autoers, there was a few - but I didn't notice them usually. ( Until after getting 60 wc :-w ) But I will agree, the miniclip crowd has added to the number of scammers, autoers, etc, but they have also added to the number of mature players nowadays .
  4. Countless friends, and effective pking with a pure. However, I am getting 40 def. We'll see how that goes.
  5. First off, I'd like to say this was another very well written article by Qeltar. I agree on most points, though i disagree on some. As you might guess from my RSN, I am mainly using a pure account. BUT, unlike many geralizations, I make most of my money outside of pking. Say I do some treasure trails, I now have money to fund further stat building and have additional resources for pking supplies. For awhile now, I've been saving up for logs for 99 firemaking. I finally have the money for it with the drop of maple prices in the G.E. But enough of my story - on to the post. I agree on most parts with pkers. I feel most are immature, and very rude. But not all are like that. Personally, I know many friends of mine who generously give out items every month or so when they can spare it. Many times I've been to drop parties and celebrations with my tight knit group. But when Jagex drops a bomb on our group like that, I feel a little upset with Jagex. Note : I do not attend the riots and such, but I'm not saying I don't want the old wilderness back like those players. I believe in civil reasoning. I sent a query as to where I could post sugguestions, since the Rants forum has been overspammed for the last few days. Kindly, I got a response from Mod James, and I posted some of my sugguestions. The one problem I have with Bounty Hunter is the mass of rogues. My group and I are currently in the early 60s and late 50s. EVERY TIME we go into bounty hunter looking for our targets, we get jumped by teams of higher, more defended players. It frustrates us, and IF we ever find our targets, they are usually much higher than we are. All I really have to propose is a 60 - 80 bracket. That's all I'm asking for. Otherwise, very good ideas and execution, Jagex. I have to tip my hat to you if this all works out. So, in conclusion - very good job, Qeltar, and hope to hear more soon. (I'm joining Truthscape.)
  6. Amazingly good read. However, I'm holding on to my stash of items. I'm hoping the prices will rise before I find myself selling. So now I sit back, relax, and pk.
  7. Yeah ^. Though I really have to rant about all the bsers who came along. I came during the group with dbz, which was the second group? Whatever, I had been wearing my green cape for days before the event. (Until I got pked in it and bought another =]) So going there, dbz was constantly being hit by bsers he couldn't see in the crowd following. Talk about cowardice. We finally got there, and being the level 62 I am, I was tagged a few times by rsc, and to my own shock and horror, tip. I found myself being chased after a few times, but everyone was a little stir crazy and I forgave them after they saw I has a green cape. Until, a few level 90s and 100s noticed me. "Hey - a 62! Easy prey", right? They had just piled a 72 WITH A GREEN CAPE, and it was quite obvious they didn't care about who they killed, just that they weren't killed. So after a good half a minute chase in which I was shouting at the top of my lungs "I'm Tif! Green cape!" to which their response was "I saw you cape switching!", I died. I kept my trusty rune scimitar, but I was annoyed as anything. There goes my last power ammy and 550 iron arrows I got from piling a rule breaker. So overall, I liked the event, but the bsing was a little much.
  8. I liked the high risk equipment, but I hated the over editing. Also, please show more actual kills by you. You showed over half cuts of you fighting someone without showing who the victor was. I have nothing against you showing yourself dying, but if you just cut to a different clip, that bugs me. 6.5 / 10.
  9. F2P, he's got to be kidding. And how did he get 78 str with 1 attack? :-s
  10. Tonight, tip.iters... we dine in hell! I will deffinately be there. P.S. - Sharissa2. Effing BSER. You think I have the third post and I would switch teams? Noob.
  11. I don't think I'm rather well known. I go on my stealing sprees every now and again in Lightning chat, but other than that I get a few hyts.
  12. Be very very quiet, I'm hunting wabbits! \ But seriously, I'm disapointed I haven't gone out yet. Dang parents wont let me go until I have a perfectly free weekend :-k
  13. Omg... I think I love you. 10/10, and keep the great guides coming!
  14. Lol it was always a mix between being made fun of because I went to computer club, or being made fun of because I went to computer club to play runescape... In the end, I found soccer was better =]
  15. I like bulletins in Myspace, but I like apps in Facebook. But overall, Myspace wins.
  16. Favourite Skill- Range or Hunter Least-Favourite Skill- Mining - (only after getting 85) Favourite Mini-Game- Gnome Delivery Least-Favourite Mini-Game- Trouble Brewing - sooo many requirements =[ Favourite Quest- Recipe for Disaster Highest Level (skill and level)- 80 range (85 mining main) Lowest Level (skill and level)- 21 farming (14 farming main) Total Level- 1012 (1409 main) Combat Level- 61 (Lev 96 main) Time playing Runescape- 3 1/2 years.
  17. A) You have to be 13 to play, so why do you know anything about runescape? B) LEARN TO SPELL. C) Incest is really something frowned upon in all cultures of inteligent people... D) I don't like you. So you know. E) ALL OF THE ABOVE. OT: Now that my little... rant... is done, I would probably ask about the new up and coming (huge?) update. Or something about their plans for ever raising the level cap.
  18. Only for things I use to make profit. Then I waste said profit away on pking.
  19. And im Odysseus, son of Laertes, king of Ithica and conquerer of Troy. That's not really a good thing... he killed his father, married his mother, gouged his own eyes out, wandered with Antigone for years, and eventually died in shame. x3 Mythology. Anyway... The other player was just plain rude. He can become the next new addition to THE list. Yes, THAT list. The nice RED one. With NO smily face. \
  20. Honestly, I can't figure out his pk strategy. Some mix between darts, diamond bolts, msb specs, and calling people noobs. The video was very confusing. But he has potential. Tell him to keep at it.
  21. Yes, this topic is largely a topic in which most tipiters feel against the 8 year olds. Personally, I feel the 8 year olds can get the -cabbage- out of Runescape. But there is no way of checking, and quite frankly, Jagex has enough on their schedule. But seriously, Death - do you hear yourself speak? Read your posts out loud, and tell me something. Do you usually swear that much? Are you really so immature that you cannot express yourself in clean language? Please, get off these forums. I, and many others, are getting sick of your constantly idiotic and unresearched rants.
  22. F2P users I've met usually complain that they can only fit the essentials of items into their banks, and can work on only a few skills before they run out of space. Auto-er space? So autos have more room to place the one stackable item they were made to acquire? Like I've said before; Quit. The forum is much better without you.
  23. Don't go members if you don't want to pay for the features. And oh yes - since I pay for Runescape, I don't have to pay for WoW, right? Nice logic you've got there. So you want more features, and you pay. So.. you get more features than someone who doesn't. You commit to rpgs? Personally, I play them for fun. They don't take a chunk of my life. I'm not forced to pay or play them. A) Prove members go to call people noobs. B) Don't go to the wildy unless you have player-killing gear? Don't go unless you have food? Don't go unless you are willing to lose it? This is deffinately the most moronic rant I've ever read. Including the ones where the writer just says "I hate ___! Change it!". A) Prove anyone doesn't want you to get holiday items. I'll gladly rant with you. B) There is no shade hood. Research before posting, my friend. You mean ghostly, and that is only after working on Desert Treasure, one of the hardest quests and after getting many requirements. Get over yourself, and stop ranting as if you speak for F2P as a whole. I spent the last 4 months as F2P, and not once did I encounter any of the frustrations or players you have. Beyond that, I was F2P for 2 years prior to myself becoming members last January for the first time. I found none of this. Please, quit the game. If you feel obligated to play, just go to your Team Fortress, and leave this forum alone. It's a much better place without you.
