with the temple of ikov quest, i search the lever and it says "you find nothing" and so i think ok fair enough lets pull the lever, so i do, and i fall down the trapdoor and loose 20 heath....what am i doing wrong?

I dont really recall that part (im gonna read the guide) but I guess you had to search it UNTIL you find a trap.

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

Could it be your thieving level? The quest requires level 42 I'm almost certain.
