RuneScape Information

  1. are there any quests you should do before you start slayer? I see this smoking kills quest that lets you get points after you start slaying. Is that necessary? Also can I skip the first guy or what?
  2. Well, I'm combat level 46. Have done a good bit of the free quests and am working on doing Dragon Slayer so I can wear my rune plate body. I've been mining a lot whenever I'm not leveling to make money. I have a good bit saved up for whatever I need. I'm about to go p2p so I can wear better armor, do construction, thieving, and slayer. My magic level is still only level 6. Sucks because I have to run everywhere and can't tele anywhere but Lumbridge. I've read the http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=new_members_P2P_guide.htm and it is pretty helpful. Does anyone have some advice for someone just going to P2P? Something you wish you would have done sooner or different. Advice in general? How is construction? It seems like a neat concept.
  3. well, I want to be leeeet. If I go p2p what armor should I go for? And what bosses should I kill to get the best drops in the game. It seems if you mine and smith the only reason is to make black/mithy/addy/rune armor to make money. Is this the case? Whats up with the dragon armor? Is this the best? And is it it really worth it to train magic if you can own as melee? It seems magic would take a lot more work to get a bunch of runes every time you want to cast spells and fight bosses.
  4. So, I've been leveling my combat skills and have a combat level of 37. I've been mining a little bit too and getting that up there to make some money. I've gotten full mith armor and an addy longsword. I've done about 6 quests and they are pretty fun. I really like killing bosses. I want to kill big monsters and get leet armor and weapons from them. I still haven't leveled any of my magic or gotten far into ranged. I'd like to do both of those things too. Is full rune the best I can do as a f2p member or can I get drops from monsters that are high level? When can I start dungeoneering? I think I read something that said the drops I get in dungeioneering I can only use while dungeoneering. Is this true?
  5. Nice, I was worried about there being a lot of bosses in there. I was looking at the monster hunting and dungeneering guides on the tip.it area for it. Any reccomendations on where to start? I'm combat level 25.
  6. Are there bosses or monsters in the wilderness that you can farm when you get there? Isn't that also the pvp area where anyone can come attack you at anytime?
  7. Thanks, haha. I played bass in Wretched for a few years. We started as a band called And Since Forgotten in high school then changed the name to Wretched a little before we signed to Victory Records.
  8. Thanks for all the replies everyone. I'm understanding this game more and more. Monster hunting and doing dungeons sounds fun. I wouldn't mind getting into that sort of thing. Is it necessary to become a p2p member to dive deep into either of these? Or can I start out doing this f2p and then go further in p2p? Thanks for the zerker guide. I'll look into that. I've been leveling my combat lately. Is there any point to leveling strength if your not a member? I see strength is a req for a lot of member weps. If I gain str does it give my attacks more power let me hit harder?
  9. Alright, so it seems to quest and get your attack/str/def up and buy new armor. Then as you go level your money making skills. But what if I leveled smiting as I leveled mining?
  10. Haha, the art of grinding. Is it worth it to go p2p when I first started?
  11. Thank you, and thank you for your response. :) I always liked the idea of making your own armor. I'll level that as I go through the quests/tasks. I also liked how you can level strength, wear armor and use melee attacks. Then also you can wear cloth and use magic. Is there a certain way to craft wizard robes/hats ? I'd like magic to become my main fighting skill. Can you make staffs as well?
  12. I just started playing this game for the first time in a few years. I never got really far into the game but when I did play all I did was mine and make armor. It seems a lot has changed and there are more things to do. I finished the first set of tasks thinking it was kind of a tutorial but now I see there are plenty more left to do. Is it worth continuing the tasks for something to do? What exactly are you supposed to do when you start a character in this game? Right now I'm mining/fishing/smithing to make some food and water to go into the lumbridge catacombs to level my str/attack while completing this one task I have. Am I going in the right direction this game wants me to go? I see your suppsed to level like any other MMO but what is the point of the leveling? When I reach certain levels do I go do certain quests for higher level armors or could I just make my own? Runescape always seemed kinda confusing since they just throw you in the game and say "have at it" Really what I want to ask is, What do you do in this game and how do I do some awesome quests that have awesome rewards. I'm thinking of buying a membership if it really catches onto me. Talk to me here or in game if you like, I'd like to "apprentice" under someone if you will. My in game name is AppleShampew :)
