A Final Goodbye (Poem)

A suicide attempt of someone close to my gf prompted some different thoughts and being bad at poetry I decided to write a poem about it. Let me know what you think, I am looking to get better :)

A Final Goodbye

Colors are dull

Warm turned cold

My heart barely beats

Without her by my side

Waking to sunlight

Bottles on the floor

Pills on not far away

Wishing I had died

Consciousness says I failed

And the pain lives on

Relentlessly haunting me

Showing me the good times

That I'll never have again

There's but one way out

And tonight will be different

This time my broken heart

Will bleed until the end

And the pain will finally stop

I can't live without her

So I won't live at all
