December 21, 200718 yr Crasru's simple blog-making guide. Step one: Name Firstly, start by naming your blog; name it wisely, like this one is. Names are very important, as they can instantly provide information for anybody looking for a particular thread (post). Step two: Introduce yourself Introduce yourself, use a short paragraph, probably only 3- 4 lines, maybe include the country you live in, age, FIRST name, etc. Step three: start levels It's always best to add an image (see step 6) of the levels your have at the beginning of your blog, that way people can see how well you are doing. Step four: Primary goals Add your primary goal in first, and include a few levels in in which you already have; there are various websites to do this with, the one used here being 'draynor.net'. The code to post it onto your blog is generally just underneath your calculator. Step five: Secondary goals Next add some secondary goals, maybe something you would like to achieve in the near future, perhaps whilst on a break from you primary goal. Step six: Images Images play a vital role in the making of blogs, as they can provide more information than an entire paragraph of words, they also keep the reader interested, by giving them something to look at and interpret in there own way. Images can be used to show level-ups, funny moments, or just to be used as an example in a how-to blog making guide. Please note, always try to upload images from photo sharing websites, most require you to sign up, but are free of charge. A good example of this is photobucket.com (Which I use). The code to insert an image is Step seven: drop down boxes The drop down box is used for making it easier for readers to find certain parts of a thread, show in the example image. When clicked on, a drop down box shows more information, shown also, in the third image. The code to create a drop down box is; [hide] insert text/images here [/hide] If you want to name a drop down box, the code is [hide=name of your choice]insert text/image here[/hide] Step eight: colored text This is a very simple thing to do, simply highlight the piece of text you want to change the color of, click on the drop down menu called 'Font color'. ||my blog ||my blog-making guide ||

January 2, 200818 yr Very nice guide; however very basic. You could expand it a bit more. :) Oh and can you mention tons of goal signatures in a row definately does NOT look appealing in any blog. : By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
