Private Message Purge - COMPLETE

All private messages not in users save boxes have been removed. Once again, all complaints regarding lost messages will be ignored.

Firstly, the search function has been restored. I have finally ditched the default phpBB system and re-written the function to use the database software's built in indexing.

 

 

 

Right now, searches are done on both the post title AND post text, I will try to add the ability to search them individually again later.

 

 

 

Please let me know of any problems you may run into using the search function. (Make a topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions, I already get enough PMs)

 

 

 

 

 

And Private messages, currently the database has over 500 THOUSAND private messages stored. This is horribly excessive and I am giving all users until November 1st to sort through their private messages and save what they need and delete what they don't.

 

 

 

If you need any information contained in any of your private messages, save it to your "Savebox". If your savebox is full , save it to a text file on your own computer.

 

 

 

On November 1st, ALL private messages that are not in your "Savebox" will be deleted.

 

 

 

Administrators, Moderators, Website Crew, Users, Myself included, no account is exempt from this cleaning.

 

 

 

Any and all messages to our staff that a user wasn't able to save their messages will be ignored.
