well it came to my mind that if a certain sell can cast more damage depending on the monters.

example:-

-fire is weak against water

-water is weak against lightining

etc..

what do you think? any opinions is welcomed :P

Its a tryed concept, but could it be wide spread on runescape? no

IT would be a mini game of some sort, otherwise certain people darting around with normal weapons would get annoyed when they take 5 minutes to kill something when you take 1sec.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

It will be a mini game if ever released, because of the sheer thinckness of most of the people on runescape....and the fact that it would introduce an entirely new range of weapons

I'm just gunna stop you here. Great point, I like that. Seriously, thats the first time I've agreed with you :).

Besides, this would make the game like Pokemon where you fight the monsters.

*Raichase wields pokeball*

"Go.... Ice Giant!"

*Opponent uses Fire Giant*

"Aww crap"

Raichase, quit Runescape.

Time issues really, nothing against the game itself. Something had to go, and it happened to be the addictive game that costs money to enjoy :)

Best of luck to all of my friends here!

I think there might be plans for this at Jagex looking at the mages walking south of Fally. Invulnerable for certain spells; Earth Mages resist earth spells, Water Mages water spells etc. I think the Slayer Skill works somewhat the same, some monster can only be killed with certain weapons.

if weapon used=draglong, on=icewarrior, then maxhit=12

if weapon used=dragmace, on=icewarrior,then maxhit=20

They could easily give advantages to certain weapons by in- or decreasing the max hit. Still it would get somewhat Pikachu.

Woot, woott...teach us uncle kll...

I like the basic idea, here's my take on it:

Most monsters (including humans) would remain type neutral. Some monster would have an elemental type, for example:

Earth: Moss Giant, Green Dragon, Zombie, Skeleton

Air: Black Dragon, Ghost, Lesser Demon, Greater Demon, Imp

Fire: Fire Giant, Red Dragon

Water: Ice Giant, Blue Dragon, Ice Warrior

Smithed weapons and fletched bows (no dragon, quest, or barrows stuff) can be enchanted with an element, by combining it with the corresponding earth, air, fire, or water talisman. Mages can use their elemental spells for the same elemental advantage, naturally.

Air attacks do 50% extra vs. water, 50% less vs. air, and normal to earth and fire.

Fire attacks do 50% extra vs. earth, 50% less vs. fire, and normal to water and air.

Earth attacks do 50% extra vs. air, 50% less vs. earth, and normal to fire and water.

Water attacks do 50% extra vs. fire, 50% less vs. water, and normal to air and earth.
