A couple feature requests

Featured Replies

Thanks for putting this together, it makes things a lot easier.

Requests/Suggestions:

- Some way to clear keys off the map. Possibly a right-click option off of the timer.

- Light outlines for small/medium floors overlayed on the map to indicate the area the smaller floors will use.

- Expanded key view: Rather than having a color selector just have a row for each color. For people with multiple monitors/large monitors they aren't at a shortage of space.

- Alternate "flat" key icons: (Or if possible not having them in resource.dll so they could be customized). Just an alternate set of images that are just "flat" rather than having the drawn pseudo-3D look.

Thanks for taking the time to post!

I suppose I'll just quote and pin-point. :P.

You can right click the tray icon and under the Reset menu select from:

  • Reset All
  • Reset Keys
  • Reset Legend
  • Reset Map

I've considered this in the past but haven't thought of a clean way to implement it. Do you think there should be an option in the tray menu or perhaps the Options tab? I like the tab idea - will add it as soon as I can!

I've tried this. You can see from a resource image here...

...that all 64 keys is both bulky and an eye sore. I'd also have to space them out more on an interface to make it pretty, making it even larger. :P. If you're not aware, typing the key abbreviations will automatically select the desired key for you (chat does not have to be enabled and actionbar does not need to be hidden). For example, typing cr followed by an enter, space, or special key will automatically select crimson rectangle.

I've considered adding a way in which people could add their own icons, however this would make things hard for DGConnect as people wouldn't have the same icons. Although, now that I think about it, I don't think DGSweeper deletes Resource.dll before downloading a new one like it used to. Therefore, replacing the images inside of it and then setting it to Read Only should disallow DGSweeper from overwriting it. I know people used to use this method to add custom borders and such.

Thanks again! I'll keep you posted!

You know what... I'm just going to add this to the map mask:

It's not distracting to those who don't need it and literally only requires updating an image in the resource. :).

Nice that works perfectly!

I managed to completely overlook the right-click items on the taskbar for the reset options.

The hotkeys I know about, but I have them customized to 1-6 and Q/W/E/R/T, so any wedge or rectangle ends up using things so I've generally stuck with clicking to place.
