Entry 1: Dungeoneering

Well blogging, I thought it might be a good idea to start one of these, it may encourage me to actually play.

A little bit about me

I started playing in Early 05 I believe, it was just after the release of Desert Treasure. I played a fair bit, and eventually joined members. Unfortunately, over time I gradually began to just grind levels for the sake of gaining levels rather than having fun, and ended up quitting for a good 6 months. Came back for a brief stint at the end of last year, but made the same mistake. The new plan is to do what I enjoy (and doesn't require too much concentration!)

The 2 Big Changes

Constitution, goodness that was strange being hit for high numbers such as 80, and expecting to be dead! But it certainly seems to work, and I think it was quite a good change.

And of course, Dungeoneering, it's quite a weird skill,I'm rather glad it's F2P as I don't plan on getting members soon, unless the dungeons get too hard without the stronger weapons and armour.

I can see why people don't enjoy the skill, and I agree it is similar to both Stealing Creation, and Barbarian Assault. But like all new skills I've experienced, it takes a while to get used to. But it's amazingly fast experience compared to the others.

Farming: Oh goodness, how I hated this skill when it came out, IT, definitely took a long time to gain experience, as you needed seeds etc.

Hunter: Hunter wasn't actually too bad for experience, and was probably the best skill release from the start, there was a lot of variation. I found it a good skill to level, albeit, the higher levels are a bit annoying, I personally didn't enjoy catching red chinchompas.

Construction: Again, nice to train, yea it cost a bit of money, okay thats an understatement, a LOT of money. But still, wasn't too bad, relatively average experience gain.

Summoning: Similar in some aspects to farming, but worse in a sense, as you needed to collect all the charms yourself, and lovely slow experience, but an amazing skill, I loved summoning, and it actually encouraged me to train combat.

Dungeoneering on the other hand, as long as you have a team, it's actually gets rather fast to train. I managed level 30 on the release day, and made it to level 40 by today. I think I may take a break from it for a while, as I don't want it to become a chore.

Well this blog entry has become more about Dungeoneering than I had planned, and therefore I'll name it such.

I'm planning on updating this maybe once or twice a week, hope people enjoy reading my thoughts.
