Entry 2: All Skills 50+

I have all skills 50 + again, well if you exclude Dungeoneering I have all 70 or above, and I'm slowing getting there. I personally really enjoy the skill, although unless this 50% experience reduction for non-members is reduced or adapted, I may end up having to get membership.

It does seem a little bit silly, there was a story recently about the UK General Election saying something about how a large amount of people don't actually understand tax, and how it is worked out.

When told that people earning over £150,000 a year would have an extra band of income tax of 50%, some believed that this meant that they only received £75k, and a person earning £149,000 in the 40% band would receive £89.4k, £14,000 more. Now of course this is not the case, they are simply taxed 50% on the income above £150k.

Does this sound a little bit familiar?

A level 89 F2Per training Dungeoneering will gain, say 1200 base exp and 1200 prestige on a level, whilst a level 90, will gain 600 base, 600 prestige, with everything else the same.

Whilst of course, there is no way of 'taxing' a player in the same way, it definitely doesn't seem fair to slap on a straight 50% reduction as you reach 90 combat.

Now I'm sure Jagex will sort it out, there is always some sort of solution, whether it is:

- A 1.5% reduction for each combat level 90+, which in my opinion would be the fairest solution, but not ideal

- A reduction based on total, as members tend to have higher total level, of course this is not always the case, and shoots past members in the foot.

- Higher levelled monsters and bosses in non-members, and a complete removal of the cap. Or,

- The removal of all member doors, and doors requiring an impossible stat for non-members e.g. 104 Runecrafting as there are no potions on F2P. This solution would require the cap being kept, but would allow for non-members to get a higher bonus of levels, and therefore a slightly higher experience rate.

Unfortunately, Dungeoneering is all I have been doing on Runescape this week, what with it being new, and it being my only skill under 70. And it's good fun. So once again this blog is about Dungeoneering. Maybe next time it will be different. And hopefully I'll get round to sticking some pictures in, so it's not just a huge block of text next time!

In the meantime, it has been beautiful weather here in the UK, (I personally think it's something to do with the giant dust cloud) it certainly makes for a change from the dreadful weather we had earlier on this year. (As soon as the dust cloud moves away, I bet the rain, clouds and bad weather will return!)

So for now I'll leave you with this suggestion:

Similarly to how Members get Primal (Tier 11) Items as relatively rare items from bosses, I suggest Non-Members receiving Zephyrium (Tier 6) Items, as similarly rare, maybe rarer items from bosses, although it may give members another advantage in F2P, so once again the exp cap problem comes in again.
