Dagannoth Kings
I did my first Dagannoth King raid today, and found it worth talking about on my blog. So here's the little adventure of mine along with a few fellows from my clan.
My friend Bella organised this Dagannoth King raid today as a clan event. For me and her, it was our first time in that dungeon. We were three, and only one of us knew his way down there; fortunately for us he was level 138. We were a bit nervous at first, seeing the kind of inventory it took to fight those Kings and all. Crossing the dungeon alone was a thrilling adventure for us, not knowing what to expect.
When we got to the Kings, it was a bit hard to start the real raid: Bella was the mage, she was the one who had to go in first in order to lure Rex away and she was a bit worried. But it didn't take us long to settled there and start taking care of those huge creatures. At first you feel a bit confused, but then it gets really easy. With Prayer on, you barely get hit. My tortoise ended up disappearing with about eight Saradomin Brews inside, and I couldn't take them in my inventory because I was still full of potions. Lost some money there, but entirely recovered it since we got a Dragon Hatchet drop shortly after. The money was split and so I got 840k gold from that.
Later, the mage ended up forgetting about Prayer points going down and was forced to teleport out, escaping right in time before getting killed. I also forgot about my Prayer points shortly after, lost Deflect Mage and nearly died to Primus; my Ring of Life saved me at the last moment. Guess the lesson we got from this was that these bosses are fairly easy to kill when you're paying attention, but if you let your Prayer go down it becomes deadly.
It's really worth it going down there as a team. The drops seem to be quite frequent, and they're very good drops. The teamwork it demands is also enjoyable. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot whenever you can. ;)
May Zaros be with you!
