LMFAO in Ottawa

So this evening I've been working at a site directly across the intersection from Scotiabank Place, where LMFAO is playing tonight. You would not believe the parade of people coming through here the last three hours.

I haven't seen this much neon animal print spandex since the early 90's!

(yes, I'm that old)

I have to say, as far as music inspired fashion trends, this one is pretty tame. There's far worse things than looking like you're in an 80's hair band video. A few years ago I was downtown when Marilyn Manson came to town. *shudder* That guy in the dress still haunts my nightmares. :ohnoes:

The only real complaint I have is about the girls dressed up not in the all-for-fun, need-earplugs-to-look-at outfits, those are fine, but the ones dressed like hookers in miniskirts and stiletto heels. Now, normally I'm all for these things, but I swear most of these girls can't be more than 14.

If I ever have a daughter, I certainly won't be letting her dress that way. At least until she's old enough to get a job and buy her own damn clothes. Then I probably won't have much say in the matter. :P

Didn't know you were from Ottawa either, i live right over the bridge, in Quebec, and also had a few friends going there. :D

I didn't realize any TIF'ers were so close. Nice.

@Gradeskip - I actually spend a lot of time over the bridge for work - I spent most of yesterday there, in fact. Cheap smokes. ;-)

All three. I actually just finished a job at the Couche Tard/Esso on Boul. Des Grives. I do gas station maintenance, so it's not like they can come to me. :P

Believe it or not, I have an amazingly large service area. Besides the Ottawa/Gatineau area, we go to Val-De-Monts, Thurso, Buckingham, Fort Colounge...and that's just the regular customers in Quebec. In Ontario I go as far as Bellville, Tweed, Petawawa, even as far north as Deep River. And, of course, everywhere in between.

On the up side, I get paid for driving and they let me use my personal Air Miles card when I gas up the truck.

(It's only a student job though, I go to Cegep and only work roughly 10hrs/week on the weekend. Sciences program at Cegep takes the rest of my time. I'm very busy with studies already. :P)

I went to one of their performances in a bar in Brandon, MB a while back. It was quite the experience, not a big fan of that kind of music, but because of the audience it attracted. Based on how I see girls act, and those I`ve been with, I can see the cause for your concern. If I have a daughter, she may get permission to leave her room once on a blue moon.

That's why my friend says his daughter isn't allowed to date until after she's married.

I don't go out much anymore. I prefer to stay at home. Alone. Plotting.

That's my girl.
