  1. Loot from 100 crystal keys + 4 keys made from key parts obtained looting. I don't think that's a bad charm rate if you have money. All looted in ~1hr, going fairly slowly.

Strangest new loot: 200 each of the elemental and mind/body runes and 50 of the upper level runes through death, excluding astral.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, whenever you loot a key part from the chest, it gives you 15k coins. So add 165k to that loot value.

  2. Crystal chests are, for the moment, probably profitable. Basic loot is now a dragonstone and 5 crimson and 5 blue charms. Additional loot (worth 10k+) is possible. So far:

Every chest has dragonstone. Each chest that doesn't have additional loot drops charms.

    Additional loot:

    15k coins

    rune plateskirt

    3 rune bars

    150 coal

    loop half of key

    papaya seed

    calquat seed

    2 grimy torstol

  3. Sold all my Greenman's Ale (m) at nearly full price. Guess people haven't caught on to the banner boost yet.

    mind=blown

Wow I feel dumb... Not because I bought any, but just because the only use I'd thought of so far was to boost the barb advanced course for a half hour a day.

  4. Simplest fix in my mind: Make the number of resources lootable from a warband limited to say, 500(random number)(i.e., only 20 people could loot 25 resources from the camp until the camp is empty), and make it so that when you pk, you get the resources, not cash. That way, it becomes a competition for resources rather than an everyone can get their fill.

Not that I want this change, I like the exp, but if they were going to fix it, this would be it in my mind.

  5. Personally, I think armor should all be defensive. It should not provide any offensive bonuses because it is armor not a weapon. I don't care if pre-eoc armor had bonuses that people got attached to, there was a reason they took it away. It doesn't make any sense! /rant

  6. I've really settled into using Warband fc. It's hard to get into the chat a lot of the time, but if you do manage to get in when there are warbands active (and they seem to go in streaks), you can get yours done relatively quick. Not too much trouble with pkers, just be in the warband fc chat and watch for warnings against a certain world. I generally manage to get 2 25 loot warband, and the third about 1/2 the time due to the camp dying while I'm finishing looting or getting pked.

  7. I used warband fc to loot 3 camps just a bit ago. It took some time to find a camp, but I seemed to have arrived during a lull period where no one could find a camp. Once a camp was found, it seemed like a ton more appeared shortly. The first 3-4 camps I tried to get to were either dying as I arrived or were infested with pkers. Once I got into the swing of things, though, I found and looted 3 camps in a row without incident, 2 of them getting my full 25 resources and the 3rd dying a little less than halfway through my looting.

NONE of the camps I went to had a summoning beam active when I arrived, and it appeared that was because they had been sabotaged.

It took longer than I would have liked to find the camp worlds, but once I did, looting was nice and quick.

  8. I can completely understand the certain-quests-take-place-in-the-past path from a developers standpoint, as they want as much content as possible to be available to as many people as possible, instead of having this massive pile of content that has to be completed in order to do new content.

...But I was really getting into how much of a reputation our character was building as we did more quests and helped more people. With this move, it kinda lessens the feeling of building your character from an unknown nobody into a world renowned adventurer by your own merit. Now, you character will already be known everywhere, and that makes me kind of sad.

  9. Built and saved my potential "ideal" maxed crew. It assumes no personal bonus or trait bonus on the crew and only perfect traits on the captains. This is what I came up with for:

    Captains:

Pure Moral - 4 moral Traits

Moral Seafaring - Moral based captain - 4 seafaring traits

Pure Combat - 4 Combat Traits

Pure Seafaring - 4 Seafaring Traits

Seafaring Combat - Seafaring Captain - 2-4 Combat Traits 0-2 Seafaring traits.

    Crew:

    3 Jade Merchants

    4 Ox Head

    3 Judge of the Dice

    5 Combat

    5 Moral

    5 Seafaring

    No Merchants

    22500 Moral - 85%

    22500 Combat - 85%

    22500 Seafaring - 82%

    Merchants

    22500 Moral - 77%

    22500 Combat - 74%

    22500 Seafaring - 71%

    No Merchants

    11500 Moral - 11500 Combat - 90%

    11500 Moral - 11500 Seafaring - 91%

    11500 Combat - 11500 Seafaring - 91%

    Merchants

    11500 Moral - 11500 Combat - 83%

    11500 Moral - 11500 Seafaring - 83%

    11500 Combat - 11500 Seafaring - 81%

    No Merchant

    10000 Moral - 10000 Combat - 10000 Seafaring - 91%

    Merchant

    10000 Moral - 10000 Combat - 10000 Seafaring - 82%

Anyone that wants to play with it, username is maxed ports password is 12345

This is all reasonable in my mind, only thing I would consider is an addition judge and merchant, thing is though you don't use judges on single stat ones and I'm hoping to have scroll missions for a while which don't need merchants which is why I went for this build.

As a note all of these numbers could potentially be higher if you got crew with traits/personal bonuses and personal bonuses on captains.

Of course, this was debated then and could be debated again.
