Grand Exchange: How to successfully invest/merchant
There is the odd occassion where the 5 day average drops at the same rate as the daily, even for 1 day and it can make you miss the sell signal and loose money. But that is VERY rare. Thanks for the feedback.

They average out the price change over 1 day, 5 days and 20 days. So you have a wider range of info.

Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
Sorry to dissapoint you, but old pking is NEVER comming back. It's gone for good. Notice the dozens of update they made in order for people to be able to play they way they did before RWT? If they brought back old PKing, those update would be the waste of time. Are you actually mentally [developmentally delayed]ed? And in response to people saying that if there are more peeps in a world it would make it harder... IT WOULDNT. F2P Bounty Hunter is totally safe, no matter what crater. All you have to do is take full god armour in, and then the seller hits the buyer when they have auto retaliate on so they dont get a pickup delay. the max hit in F2P is 30, and its really not that hard to avoid dying when the max is 30...

Grand Exchange: How to successfully invest/merchant
Before you continue, always remember that the market is very venerable to new releases and players changing the market. This technique is a great way of predicting the market, but it is still risky due to the markets venerability. Hi, this is a quick tutorial on how to read price graphs and use the information you get to make a successful investment. The first thing you need to find is a graph that has a fair amount of waves. I used the Dark Bow graph as an example. I have circled all of the important points in red. [hide=How to predict a price rise]This is the easiest way to predict a price rise. It is used by proffessional stock brokers. Notice how every time the Daily Average (DA) moves upwards over the 5 Day Average (5DA) the price rises afterwards. This is the best way to predict a price rise. Notice at the end of the graph that the lines are about to cross over again, i noticed this and bought two dark bows. They have already risen by around 4.5k (Not much, but that was about 2 hours after i bought them, they should rise to make a decent profit of around 200k overall). To clarify: When the DA moves upwards over the 5DA there will be a price rise. You should invest in the item.[/hide] [hide=How to predict a price drop]This is how you know when to sell the item you have invested in. This is basically the same as the technique above, but there is a small yet extremely important difference. You want to sell when the DA crosses the 5DA downwards. As this predicts the end of the rise. It may have already dropped, but this is a sure sign that the price rise will not rise any more. The item may go on to rise again, and if this happens, you will see another cross over. To clarify: When the DA moves downwards over the 5DA there will be a price drop. You should sell the item.[/hide] [hide=An Example]This is a graph with labelled buy and sell points, to give you an idea. [/hide] [hide=Different technique, make millions in your sleep]This technique is MUCH more simple, but only really works at night. Just before you go to bed, buy a large amount of an item (I love to do this with whips and saradomin swords) for 11k above minimum price. Overnight there will be numerous people that just want to get rid of the item quickly, they will sell it for minimum price. Most people will add 10k to their price to get these kind of buys quicker than everyone else. By offering 11k you bump theres off the list by 1k, so you are fairly likely to get the item for around minimum price. I buy 5 whips a night with this technnique, i make about 120k per whip, so i make a whopping 600k in my sleep. Mixed with the other technique, i can make up to 1m a night.[/hide] [hide=Extra Tips]-Do not put all of your money into this technique. Put no more than what you can afford to lose into this. -If the 5DA is dropping at the same rate as the DA, you should sell, as the lines may never cross, and the item will probably lose you money. -The higher the value of the item, the more risk, but the more profit. It is the same if you are buying a large quantity of a cheap item.[/hide] I hope this guide helps!

The Wise Old Man - An Unsolved Mystery...POST ALL EVIDENCE!
If you finished back to my roots you would know that it is a grave for the wizard that you find that hand of in hand in the sand. You get the rest of the body from the maze in back to my roots. OT: The wise old man is definently up to something evil and a quest series would be nice although he said after swan song that his adventure years were done. :x He also said he had a little something in mind.

The Wise Old Man - An Unsolved Mystery...POST ALL EVIDENCE!
HIS REAL NAME: Dionysius I put together a small montage of the evidence against him... After asking the woman in the chair outside his window you get the old picture of his house. There is a door in the back, this is now a picture. If you go upstairs to his room, there is a telescope. Look through it and it's facing the wizard's tower. You will then automatically confront him about it. He will deny another heist. Wheras if you talk to him about his retirement after finishing the quest Swan Song he says he may have something planned. POST ALL YOUR EVIDENCE AND THOUGHTS ON THE WISE OLD MAN HERE! EDIT: The map in the top left corner appears twice in his house. I got the biggest picture i could without HD (Not a good enough Graphics Card). Could someone please take a picture in full screen HD?

The quick and easy GE merchanting trick!
I just wanted to make it as clear as i could really.

The quick and easy GE merchanting trick!
Hi, this trick requires: -Some starting money, suggested 5m+ I suggest not attempting this in F2P as there are far less items. Step 1. To start, go to GE and search around for an item that is highly traded. You can use the top most traded list which can be found here: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/frontpage.ws Step 2. Find an item with a flat horizontal graph (over 30 days). Then find the exact market value of this item (call this "Value A"). Get up calculator (Unless it is an obvious number) and times it by 0.025 (call this "Value B"). Step 3. Then take the amount you get away from the market price. This is the price you should buy the item for. Once you have bought a decent amount of the item, add Value A and Value B. This is the price you should sell for. You will make 5% profit if done successfully. Step 4. Enjoy! Tips: -Leave a decent amount of time for the items to buy and sell, i would suggest around 24 hours overall. -Pick an item that is above 30gp, as this allows you to make fairly good profit off each item. -Test items, buy small amounts with this technique and see how fast you buy and sell. -Do not put all of your money into one item. Split your money up (I suggest into about 4 parts). Enjoy!

R2Pleasent was the dude that crashed the phat market a while back, he uses merching techniques to make money and also, as previously stated, buys at $2/1m. And yes, i know people who have bought from him. And from what they've seen, he has a lot of GP to spare.....

The Ultimate Get-Going Guide! For level 3s just out of tut!
Hello and welcome to The Ultimate Get-Going Guide! This guide was made to give people a headstart when starting on Runescape. It should give the reader a grasp on the Free to Play (F2P) world, knowing where the main towns are and how to make your way around. It should also give them the skills to make their own money. This guide shows you how to get the following: 29 Smithing 11 mining 2 Crafting 4 Cooking (Maybe higher) 8 Magic 9 Prayer Level 6 in a stat of your choice Some Melee Experience Atleast 10k gp Ghost Speak Amulet Quite a few Quest Points [hide=Getting Started]The first thing you should do after the tutorial is make your way to the lumbridge bank. You should know where this is from the tutorial. But before you bank your items you should use the experience (EXP) lamps you recieved from the tutorial on a skill(s) of your choice (I highly suggest Defence, as you will need a good defence level). Bank everything you have except for your training shield and sword. You now have a choice, you can either keep using your training gear or you can try and get some free bronze or iron, i suggest just continuing with your training gear though. After you have made your choice/got your free armour from someone make your way to the cow field (You can find this on your world map). Kill cows and pick up the hides, do this for 3 inventories (Deposit them after each inventory). If you chose to level up Defence with your lamps after the tutorial, you should now train attack and strength. If you lose too much HP, stop killing cows. Collect some "Raw Meat" and search for a fire to cook it on. You should now have 84 cow hides. You should also have a bit of combat experience.[/hide] [hide=Making your first bit of money]Now you should make your way to The Grand Exchange (GE). Talk to the tutor there (Look for the question mark on the map). This should explain how GE is used. Now open up GE and sell your cow hides for the MEDIUM price (click the hand with coins in it to set it to the medium price). They should sell instantly. Now with your money you need to buy the following things: 2x Iron Ore 4x Copper Ore 6x Clay 50 trout Flour An Egg A Bucket of Milk A Redberry Pie 20 Balls of Wool Red Bead, Black Bead, White Bead, Yellow Bead 2x Iron Bar Steel Scimitar If you have any left over money, the best armour you can use and afford.[/hide] [hide=Easy Cooking Levels]You should now make your way to lumbridge after banking everything except your armour and your milk, egg and flour. Then go into the castle, and look for the Cook. Talk to him until the quest "Cooks Assistant" becomes yellow in your Quest Journal. Then talk to him again straight away afterwards, keep talking to him until the quest is complete. If you don't have milk, an egg and flour you will not complete the quest. You will gain 300 cooking EXP and the ability to use ranges.[/hide] [hide=Easy Prayer Levels]By this time, you should have a fairly good combat level, before attempting this part, i suggest killing cows or chickens to level up to combat level 10. Make sure you have atleast 10 defence and 10 attack also. I would suggest getting 10 strength in addition to attack and defence, to esure this next step is as easy as possible. Make your way to the bank and withdraw about 5 trout. Now go to the Lumbridge church. Talk to the priest until you start the quest "The Restless Ghost". Then go into the graveyard and into the small hut with a coffin in it. Then open the coffin, a ghost will appear. Talk to the ghost and you will be unable to understand him. Return to the priest and ask him what to do. He will tell you to go to lumbridge swamp and find a hut. Do as he says (Using the world map if neccessary). Take to the NPC inside and get him to give you a Ghostspeak Amulet. Put it on and make your way back to the ghost. Talk to him and ask him why he is restless. He will say it is because he lost his skull. Then agree to help him find it. After this, make your way to the wizards tower, located south of Draynor village (Use your world map to help you). *WARNING* Make sure you avoid Jail Guards and Wizards. They are both agressive and will probably kill you. Once you reach the wizards tower, go inside and down the ladder. make your way to the altar. Search it and you should find a skull, but a level 13 skeleton appears. Kill it, and if you need to, heal up by eating the trout. You may need to return to the bank to restock on food and attempt it again, but with the suggested stats this is unlikely. Now take the skull and return to the ghost. Use it on the coffin and you should get the quest complete screen. You have now completed "The Restless Ghost". You recieve 1,125 EXP (enough for level 9 prayer from 0 exp) and you can keep the Ghostspeak Amulet.[/hide] [hide=Easy Mining Levels]Now head to Falador (Using your world map). Find a bank and deposit everything but your armour, withdraw 2 iron ores, 4 copper ore and 6 clay. On your world map find "Goblin Village", just south of this there is a hut, make your way to this hut. Talk to the dwarf inside and ask him if you can use his anvils. He will say if you get him some materials (The ores and clay you bought). Agree to get them and he will give you a bronze pickaxe. Then talk to him again, he will take the materials and you will, once again, get the quest complete screen. You have now completed "Doric's Quest". You recieve 1,300 mining experience (Enough for level 11 from 0 exp) and 180gp.[/hide] [hide=The big one, 29 smithing, and it's easy!]*WARNING* You may want to gain a few defence levels before you attempt this quest, you can complete this quest at level 3, but i do not suggest attempting this with 10 defence unless you have previous experience. You should now go to one of the banks in Falador and withdraw 2 iron bars, a redberry pie and your bronze pickaxe. Go into the castle and talk to the Squire. Keep talking until you start the quest "The Knight's Sword". After this go to Varrock castle and find the library, talk to Reldo. Ask him about dwarfs. Then use your world map to make your way to port sarim. Continue south to the cliff, just below it there is a small hut with a fat dwarf in. Give him the redberry pie and then ask him to make the sword. He will ask for a picture. Go back to the castle and talk to the squire, he will tell you that there is a picture in a cupboard upstairs. Go to the ladder towards the east, then find the staircase in the room close by and climb up the stairs. Then go into the room with the cupboard. Search it and you will get the picture. Take it back to the dwarf and he will tell you that he will need a bluerite ore to make it. Go back to the bank and withdraw 20 trout. Make sure that you have your pickaxe and make your way back to the dwarfs hut, but don't go in. Go up the cliff beside it and enter the cliff. You should be in an area with level 6 muggers (Be warned there are high level monsters on this bit, but you only have to run past them). All the monsters in the cliff are aggressive. Run past the muggers and follow the corridor (Stay running at all times) run past the pirates and hobgoblins. There should be a small area just as the snow area begins that you are safe from all monsters. Stay here until you are back to 100% run. You should then run to the south east until you reach two rocks which you can mine. Mine one of the rocks and then exit the way you came. Take the ore with two iron bars to the dwarf and he will make the sword. Take the sword back to the squire and you have completed the quest. You will recieve 12,725 Smithing EXP (Enough for level 29 Smithing from 0 exp).[/hide] [hide=Easy Magic Levels]Now go to a bank and deposit everything but your armour and withdraw the four beads you bought. Then go back to the Wizard's Tower and to the top floor. Talk to the wizard next to the orange star on the floor and start the quest "Imp Catcher". Then talk to him again and you will complete the quest. You will recieve 875 magic EXP (Enough for 8 Magic from 0 exp) and an Amulet of Accuracy.[/hide] [hide=Easy Crafting Levels]Now go to Lumbridge bank and once again, empty your inventory. Withdraw your 20 balls of wool and head to the farm to the north of Lumbridge. Talk to the farmer inside until you start the quest "Sheep Sheerer". Talk to him again afterwards and you will complete the quest. You will recieve 150 Crafting EXP (Enough for level 2 from 0 exp) and 60gp.[/hide] [hide=10kgp and a pair of non-tradable boots!]This is quite possibly the hardest part but i feel it is easy money and it gives you a pair of boots that are free and pretty cool. First of all, make your way to Edgeville (Use the world map). Bank everything except 3 pieces of armour (I suggest shield, platebody and platelegs). Now withdraw 25 trout and go south to barbarian village. Enter the hole in the centre of the mining patch. Then get up the tip.it map of the Stronghold of Security (Can be found here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=stronghol ... p.htm) and use it to navigate to the first chest. You will get a cash reward once you reach the first chest. Then climb the rope to barbarian village and bank the reward. Now re-enter the Stronghold and use the portal to go to the end of the first level. Now climb down the ladder. Use the map to navigate your way to the chest once again. Do the same as you previously did, bank the reward and return using the portals. Do this until you reach the last chest, you will then be given a choice between a two pairs of boots. Make your choice and exit. You will find you will have 10k gp from the rewards.[/hide] [hide=Credits]Tip.It - For Quest rewards and the Stronghold of Security map. Runescape - For the world map and game.[/hide] Congratulations, you now have the stats to make your own money and train efficiantly. You now should also have a grasp on the Free to Play (F2P) world, knowing where the main towns are and how to make your way around. I hope this guide has helped!

Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
Bounty Hunter in F2P is less dangerous than the Stronghold of Security. If you have full rune and food, you are basically invinsible, you can leave when you are nearly dead easily...
-
Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
I said RWTing, not gold farming. RWTing was the outcome of gold farming.
-
Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
he had sold 14 bill about 3 months before the update, and 18 bill about 2 weeks after the update. Now hes at 21 bill... If you want proof of how many gold traders there are, do some research, use google and just search runescape gold or sumthin. I'm not advertising it, but everyone wants proof so there it is... Ways to trade are just various items, trading accounts etc..
-
Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
Agreed. I think Jagex did a good job with removing RWT. I dont think it was a mistake, just more of a thing that needed to be done. Thats my opinion though. But that is not true, at all. As said in my first post, ONE RWTer has sold 2 billion RSGP alone, thats one of them.

Bounty Hunter - Huge Mistake On Behalf Of Jagex?
Hi, this is NOT just another rant, this is to be discussed, not just dismissed as me wanting PKing back. So Jagex removed PKing due to RWTing, something that was a massive problem. They removed the old PKing, and replaced it with Bounty Hunter. RWTing dropped for about 3 weeks, during which RWTers found hundreds of other ways to bypass the trade limit and Bounty Hunter rules. Now RWTing is back to the level it was at when PKing was around. So what are your thoughts? Was Bounty Hunter just a waste of Jagex's time, perhaps there were other solutions? EDIT: One gold seller alone (no names mentioned) has sold another 2 billion GP since the release of Bounty Hunter.
-
sexist runescape!? but...but...but.....how?
It's down to looks and the fact that a majority of RS players are male. Plus, the market prices are totally controlled by the players themselves, if you want platelegs to be cheaper, simply get everyone to not buy a pair for a week, they'll drop to the price of skirts in no time. If anyone can pull that off, i'd be impressed.

!!!200-230k an hour with only 13 slayer?!!! (regular edits)
Really good way to make cash. Been there for about 40 minutes and i've got 715 so far. 2 Super Antis (4) gone so far, got another 6 =]. By the way, you should add that you can take more than just 3 pots and that they drop clues. Theres no point in doing 5 1 hour trips when you could just take more pots and not have to leave. I mean, iron boots are worthless, no point in picking them up. I pick up: Clues Gems Half Keys Swamp Tar (Duh) Earths Waters I may have missed a few but that's all i can think of. You should also add all of the drops (use Tip.It Bestiary). But great guide, 9/10.
-
Want old PKing back? Heres the solution...
Why do you even care about RWT? I'd happily RWT if it made me £10. Plus, it would make NO difference to the amount of people RWTing. All the new updates knocked off maybe 1%. Do you think people accidentally take god armour and pumpkins in? no.
