  1. I first noticed it on rune rocks not iron. I figured the rock was being ninja'd from me and the other person was just logging out before i could look for them this happened several times and I started watching and noticed it was exactly as it seemed. A mined rock....that no one got the ore for. But then it happened with an adamant ore and then iron. When i did the adamant and iron i wasn't grinding away i only needed a couple of ores and was going to move on from a completely dead zone which is why it was so wierd. There was no one else there. It was just me and I didn't get the ore. So i figured it was some new random... @asianboy7o7 - Thanks a lot that's awesome....now for 70 farming =/ yikes...
  2. That's what I figured on the smelting. I'd really like to know about the mining though because that would affect my time calculations for exp rates at coal trucks and addy rocks. Anyone got word on #3? I'm going to end up submitting a bug report if I don't get any responses because that's what it seems to me. Crap I forgot my last question. Did they slow down iron mining times? I swear it takes me longer to mine iron that it used to. (@85 - 1 hit is now clearly 2 hits)
  3. The achievement diary for Varrock (and the level 70 I lack to get the addy reward!) are a little confusing to me. I don't have members till tomorrow or i would probably just go check for myself but right now I'm trying to prioritise my objectives and goals and plan a few things as well as doing a lot of research. Here I've hit a roadblock in the long road to updating myself about these changes in the three years I've been gone. When getting double ores from a rock does one also get double experience or just double ores? If one gets double ores is it like wc where you get one then another a while later or two at once when the rock is mined? When getting double bars from smithing does this mean two bars per ore? If not I would assume experience=ores process and that this simply speeds the smithing skill...but if so...double experience? When mining my rocks disappear...like someone stole them from me...this is an extremely rare occurance and I can't tell if it's a bug I should report or some long lost 'new' random since my departure. Yes, I am positive I wasn't standing on someone who ninja'd the rock from me. I wasn't at first but after it happened I started paying attention. It happens. I just want to know I'm not going crazy, bugging etc... Thanks!
  4. Thanks guys that does clear things up for me. Anyone know offhand roughly how much it will break my bank to burst ancients from 71-94@pc?
  5. Yeah it depends on your pay rate and I was training mining for that bank pay rate ;-) I would go with darts they're cheaper (or they were...) and not that much different. But if you're going for speed and cost isn't an factor...but I'm sure you're aware of all that...
  6. So ancients tellys are also limited to <20? Oh snap I forgot to ask about logging. If I have a mule summoned will it be there if I world hop?
  7. So I've been out of the game for a while....a long while and summoning was only a whisper that was the brunt of many jokes when I left. So now I'm trying to catch up on a lot and the guides I'm reading are so extensive but all seem to say the same things and not answer my specific questions so here I am since my membership will be active tommorow and I'm going to determine how much I'm going to invest in summoning. Can I use multiple abilities from different creatures at once? Not at 'once' per se but in production assistance. Can I use the teleport from one summoned creature...dispense with it....mine/chop/etc. then summon a mule (Or whatever creature I can get to carry stuff for me) and fill it up the dispense with it until I get to the bank or do i have to keep it summoned the whole time it's carrying my load? Also....while i am using that mule can I use the spirit wolf's ability to dispense with undesirable nasties that bother me? Can anyone quote me how much inventory space this set up might cost me? Stealing creation is new to me as well. If I get the picks can I haul a dozen or so out with me to power mine and just drop them or why wouldn't I want to do this? Yeah...ancients isn't new but I can find this anywhere and I never used ancients much before although I have done the quest I just never got around to training magic up to make it effective. I seem to remember the teleports being usable deeper into the wilderness is that so or am I just creating artaficial memories? At what level are teleports nixed for ancients?
  8. What they said....Iron is much faster training. Although I would reccomend making dart instead of knives. The fletching exp is great even though it seems small you can rack it up extremely fast and since they both stakc you can take all you want and do it wherever you want. You know....host a party at you house while fletching 20k iron darts you've smithed. You'll grab half a dozen or so fletching levels (depending on where you're at). I got 77 fletching this way without ever touching a bowstring but i've done over 100k iron darts too so...
  9. Statwise darts are a little weaker than knives but if you're making them yourself like I did then darts are much easier to produce and the difference in stats is really insignificant. I tossed darts to 79 range...it's extremely boring but at about 65 you can do Fire G's which are decent for drops and can recoup about %70 of the cost of darts and of course possibly yield a minor d drop. I never got one of those. At 79 range they fall fast and you will find yourself clearing out a room without too many other people and when it gets even partially crowded it can slow you down but until higher levels you should be fine and when you have serious problems find a better monster to train on (like blue drags!). Iron darts>bronze knives I never found break rate to be significant in comparison to using arrows but I'd manufacture 10k darts at a time so...
  10. I have 85 mining and 76 smithing. I did this for a good portion of the trip there so I'll go into a little bit more detail than has been done here yet. The idea is make less trips to the bank and thus spend more time doing things that actively train skills and still manage to eek out a small profit. Essentially it depends upon your mining level to determine how successful you are. Competition is always an issue and timing is key so go look up ore spawn times and figure out which will work best for you and choose servers with the appropriate population. This takes a little experience to determine more accurately and in truth Supermining mith (As i refer to it) isn't really as profitable as one might think. That changes drastically once you can smelt addy and do the same with it. It really depends on your ability to nab the mith ores. Sometimes you just need to world hop to find a place that has less miners interested in doing the exact same thing. The goal here is less bank trips and thus more time spent training. Since you are f2p this is about the most practical way to train mining while still making a profit. Beyond that it's drop mining iron for power leveling. The mage experience isn't significant but I've gained a few levels that way. This is only efficient if you are f2p and really need cash. Once you get to 85 everything you've earned prior to that is petty cash anyway so i reccomend only doing what you need to for the immediate budget and then power mining iron. None of this applies to p2p. There are so many more efficient ways to train all involved skills p2p that the guild is just a joke.
