http://www.teamfortress.com/australianchristmas2011/ Oh lord, that pyro flamethrower. It's like Valve is encouraging w+m1'ers. No airblast? I can already see a dozen pyros running around critting whenever they want and constantly refilling their health.- Last one to post wins

Which brings up my point on corporations dominating politics. It's a terrible way of doing things, but as long as we have these systems in place and no one with the power who is willing to change them then we're shit out of luck. These movements are telling people that. And now we have things like SOPA. The people don't want this, yet it's made it all the way to today's Judiciary Committee Hearing. Why? Because it was pushed here with all the force big business could muster.- Last one to post wins
Yeah, I was for your flat rate, as long as it was reasonable. And I would disagree on the hatred of the super rich though. It's not the rich themselves, it's the special treatment they receive. The rich have the means of making or breaking a politician, and because of this they are pandered to by our Government. Whether we like it or not, our Gov't hands out bail outs. And personally, I would rather have honest men and women in charge than the ones we have.* Worded that wrong.- Last one to post wins
Even if you have the ability and drive to do the work to become rich, chances are you won't make it. The rags to riches stories everyone always likes to point out is one in a million. I'm not really sure I understood the point you made about corporations and people they hate running for office. But take a look at the Federal Reserve Bank. 18 of it's Board of Governors were found to have serious conflicts of interest during a Congressional Audit. These are the men that decide who gets bailouts, who they buy bonds from, who gets "stimulus" handouts. These are the men that print our money. As for the flat tax rate, sure, if it's fair it's fair.- Last one to post wins
Of course poverty is more prevalent in third-world countries. I'm not arguing that conditions are worse in other areas of the world. I don't really understand why you're making half of the points you're making. I said it before, all Occupy Wall Street is after is a more equal wealth distribution, bank reform, and a reduction of the influence of corporations on politics. It's the fact the Exon-Mobil can profit $19,000,000,000, receive a $156,000,000 federal tax rebate, and NOT pay an income tax. 10% of Americans possess over 80% of all stock market wealth and profit billions off it, while taxes on profit made from stocks is drastically lower than the income tax on the wages working Americans make. People want to see that change. And of course not all college degrees are a ticket to success. Many jobless students you see are those who pursued a degree in things such as Women's Studies and Activities Management. EDIT: Um, you're graphs are from 2005. Almost 7 years ago and 3 years before our current economic recession began.- Last one to post wins
Because it's not about luxuries anymore. It's about basic needs. Unemployment is at a record high. The value of a college education is plummeting while the cost of a college education is sky rocketing. And while the middle class is shrinking and the lower class is suffering, the rich continue to profit off of them. All the Occupy Movement is trying to do is show the unfairness of the situation. They're not "whining" about not having things, they're telling it how it is. The continuing decline in equal treatment of U.S. citizens is outrageous and nothing is being done to stop it.- Last one to post wins
I thought he was dead... unless that occupy wall street thing was something someone stupid put. "something someone stupid put" What's wrong with making people aware of the gross inequalities in the U.S.? Because if you don't already know about them, you're likely not going to care anyway, and it's my feeling that if you're not successful it's your own fault. I guess it comes down to your definition of success. - Last one to post wins
