  1. ahh i see, so theres not really a point in changing it then if they cant harm me through my ip. thanks artie and fuzzy, u guys rock =D>
  2. sorry i havent played in a while but they're only p2p right?
  3. i havent gotten it in a long time also, i have the top and mask and had the boots but accidentally dropped it today coz of the new boots lol (i thought i had leather ones on and didnt check coz i was too excited with all the new colors) man am i angry at myself :wall: . but the mime random event still exists right?
  4. password a firewall? how do u do that? im using zonealarm as a firewall, so far its excellent
  5. hmm yea i see what u mean but which is safer? i mean if people hacks into ur account and see's ur ip address, can they use that to harm ur computer? coz if all they see is "human clay" wouldnt that be safer?
  6. yea i have the same problem too, i click on the link and 9 out of 10 times it says either my ip is downloading something or that i have to wait coz i just downloaded something but in reality i didnt... anyone know how to get around it besides getting premium? coz when people say what a funny or cool a pking vid is, it usually takes me a days worth of trying to actually get to download it. i wish i could just cancel the download of the person who's using my ip
  7. sorry if that didnt make any sense but what im basically trying to do is get my name back on the ip thing instead of my ip address. like how when i log on rs before i got broadband, it says u last time logged in from "humanclay" but now it lists my ip address instead... any idea on how to get it back to the way it was? i realize i got a new ip when i got broadband but im not sure where to change it back to human clay  also another little question, whats the best program that picks up keyloggers? coz i run regularly my spybot, adaware, windows defender and the results are all clean... which is suspicious to me coz my comp has never been so clean lol... i dunno maybe im just paranoid though lol
  8. hey lim_dul dont worry i know how u feel. i mean i might not have bought as much as u but money is money especially in f2p. and to whoever that was saying he was an autoer or macroer or whatever just because he has over 300k, the only reason why i think he did this is well... 5gp per essence is nothing therefore u need alot to make a profit. personally if i had the money i woulda bought just as much as u did...if i didnt know they were gonna change it to useless essence
  9. that moving teleporting thing is a good idea.. someone should tell that to jagex and hopefully take out this pure and unpure essence stuff
  10. u can say that again. i just discovered 20k rune essence. normal ones that is in my bank... so much for making profit on them. thanks jagex :? why not just make a random event for essence mining instead that teleports u to somewhere and have to do something, like another version of the annoying leo? oh and if ur interested in buying 20k normal essence for 30 each feel free to pm me lol
  11. sweet, i hope its a hoax lol. i mean nothing has happened so far, i havent loged into runescape yet but i have been in my email and nothing has gone wrong with it. but yea ill run a few scans, clean out my comp with ccleaner once more and just hope for the best. i do have a few questions though... 1. what are: -Generic Host Process for Win32 Services -LSA Shell (Export Version) -Run a DLL as an App -Services and Controller app i mainly ask this question because zonealarm gives me a warning when i try to change the program access and/or server. 2. how do i get all programs into the program list because i have delleted some but i cant remember them all. 3. and finally what are the programs that are required to be allowed to pass in the program list in order for the internet to run sufficiently. like for example fire fox.. i have a feeling my questions are pretty dumb lol, but if anyone has answers to them or some of them id gladly appreciate it. and thank you all for all the help ive gotten. you guys rock!
  12. ok scan finished without BHO and activex unchecked and nothing came up but im not so sure if my laptop is still "hacked" or not because nothing has happened so far, i mean ive signed on my email using firefox and that was before my trip and ive just checked it now and nothing has happened... is there any way to check if my computer is still hacked or not? lol im sorry if im asking stupid questions but im just not that computer savvy lol
  13. lol now now theres no need for bickering but i apreciate all the help i can get. anyways i ran spybot with activex and BHO ticked and the only problem there was the "windows security center antivirus disable notify" and im fixing it now. i didnt quite understand what u mean by "checked out" so im gonna run a scan without it checked now. ill update in about 10 mins. thanks again u guys
  14. ok ive got the hjt log. sorry it took so long i was on holiday  . anyways thanks for taking a look and telling me if theres anything bad there. also if zonealarm lets pass programs that arent on the list... how do i get all programmes on the list? hope that made sense lol Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 5:26:55 PM, on 2/12/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\services[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\Explorer[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\mdm[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\SAVScan[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\SMAgent[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apoint[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\necmfk\necmfk[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\SMTray[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\AGRSMMSG[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\ltmoh\Ltmoh[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\jusched[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apntex[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\HidFind[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\hpcmpmgr[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgcc[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgemc[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampa[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zlclient[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServ[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\vsmon[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\swdoctor[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead Photo Express 4.0 SE\CalCheck[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\SpywareGuard\sgmain[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\SpywareGuard\sgbhp[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\WINDOWS\System32\alg[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqgalry[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore[Caution: ExecutableFile] C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs[Caution: ExecutableFile] O2 - BHO: DAPHelper Class - {0000CC75-ACF3-4cac-A0A9-DD3868E06852} - C:\Program Files\DAP\DAPBHO.DLL O2 - BHO: Yahoo! 15. ok cool ive done that but i couldnt find the smartdefence thing, mines a free version. ive changed all the programs to a ? mark except for generic host, LSA shell, Run a DLL as an app, services and control and windows explorer because when i tried to change it, zonealarm said it is reccomended u leave it that way. is that wise? or should i have turned them all into ? marks aswell? also i know there are some programs that are not on the program list, does that mean they have no access to the internet? or would they pass it without zonealarm warning me about it because they arent on the list?
  16. my cousin was on the comp and she says she was surfing through the net and she messed around with the connection or proxy thing on internet options because she says the internet was slower than usual (she's not so smart on the computer u see..) so after that she closed everything down and opened IE again and went to google, it jumped to another site saying "u were hacked by..." she cant remember the name and a popup also popped up and said the same and the site was like in another language. so she closed it down and called me. i ran adaware and avg free scan and microsoft anti spyware and they all seemed to find nothing. so i shut down the comp and turned it back on and when i tried to connect to the net it said my pw is wrong (only happened once so far though). also while logged in, i was looking through this forum and all of a sudden i was logged out and required to log in again (happened once also). ive cleared all my cookies and internet files now and about to run spybot. is there anything else i should do? do you think a hijackthis log is neccesary? i havent loged into rs yet because im not sure if its safe or not. please try to help out. thanks
  17. oh ok cool thanks thats what i wanted to find out
  18. the site is this one. what i mean is at the top of the pages there is a search thing u can click on and after u click on it, it says: Search for Keywords: You can use AND to define words which must be in the results, OR to define words which may be in the result and NOT to define words which should not be in the result. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches and the feature i want to use is the "NOT" feature to search for posts. e.g. i want to search for posts without the word "selling" in it. what do i hav to type in order to do that?
  19. im not too sure where to post this so if i get it wrong please just calmly tell me. anyways in the search page of this website it has some guidelines on how to search without some words in it and it says use "NOT". ive tried many ways of this but cant figure it out.. e.g i want to search for posts without the word "selling" in it, what do i type to allow this to happen? thanks for any help i can get
  20. lol yea i dunno how im gonna be lookin at the sales at the marketplace on this website if i can only open like 2 at a time. maybe i should just wait for IE 7 and use firefox for now. thanks heaps guys for the replys
  21. sorry the exact words are "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience....." but the weird part is that there was no that thing that says "End Program" due to error or something... maybe i will just wait till IE 7...
  22. lol no i mean i only opened like 8 or so. it doesnt even go till the next tab down. the opening part doesnt seem to be causing anything its the closing thats the problem coz when that "do you wish to send..." shows up all my browsers have to be closed
  23. im on a laptop with windows xp home edition service pack 2 1500MHz, 1.49 GHz, 248 MB of RAM. the problem is that when im browsing the net and i open too many internet explorer windows the trouble is when i close it, it sometimes works perfectly fine but then after you close like 5 or so the window freezes and the "you have encountered an error do u wish to send" message pops up with the "send" or "dont send" button. i usually just click on dont send and afterwards all the IE windows closes. ive got norton antivirus but its expired so i hav the AVG Free edition running. ive ran adaware and spybot but they both found nothing. i also ran CCleaner but after all that it still has that error. ive got spywareguard and spywareblaster up to date and everything and i also am currently using mozilla coz of this error. but my sister likes IE better so she told me to ask around for some help. if there is anymore information you guys need feel free to ask. im trying to find out what version of IE im using but cant seem to find it. obviously i should hav paid more attention in computer class lol. thanks heaps for your contribution
  24. ive tried out neopets and runescape thats about it so far. does anyone kno of any other ones? free ones that is? and suitable for dial up? thanks heaps u guys
