Maybe it's me, but I realy can't find the stuff you're talking about. when I enter that dangerous sublevel I'm like already at the most north part of the dungeon? I did go to a most north east lader, then all the way south, avoiding wall crushers, but I just got back into that sublevel when taking the ladder? I don't find any corpse with a note or whatever. I think you messed up with south/north and west/east
