  1. What I was thinking about was more of a form to list the drops as I got them. Like: # of monsters total Drop 1 Drop 2 Drop 3 That was what I meant by keeping logs. Was asking if there was a form available to download and use.
  2. Can you be more specific about what type of logs? Are you referring to monster drops? Mostly monster drops, but not opposed to gathering info on skilling like success rate type things.
  3. I am not really interested in the Junior Crewbie position, but I was wondering if there are any suggestions or even a standard form to use for making logs?
  4. Train your fletching up to make yew bows. Steel arrows will suffice at first. Use Addy javelins, (you can get lots from Bronze Dragon drops), for Infernal Mages and Abberant Spectres. Do the required quests until you can get the Crystal bow. Pretty much last bow that you will need.
  5. Not too long after the capes first came out on the jim_vierling account I noticed that when competing for a rune ore in mining the up to 100 usually gave me the ore. That account and username have been permanently put out of use.
  6. I wouldn't want them to design the game around possible lag all the time. That would not be fair to those that do have better connections. Simply adding a sound or a visual cue that would let someone know that a flame wall will start coming in say 3 to 5 seconds would counter almost all lag issues and give the player a better chance of being able to react. Things like that could be done along the lines of doing the quest on a hard or regular setting if the player thought that the cues made thing too easy. Or even just the boss fight in the quest. I died twice because I could not change direction and ran sideways through the firewalls. The only way I completed the quest was with a War Tortoise full of tuna potatoes along with 26 tuna potatoes in my inventory. I died the first time using that set-up because of the damage of running sideways through a firewall. I should add that dying really pisses me off and that before this quest I had not died at all on the JimVierling5 Ironman account. I try to only play in Legacy mode. I do not want to make the game any easier than it has been made.
  7. I was not referring to running at Char. What I was referring to is the always going to the left after you start a fire making you go at whatever you happen to be fighting or in this case Char. (I realize that there are not many instances other than Char where this would come into play.) The fight is not that easy when you have lag. The whole process of starting the fires is way too slow. I could not ever get more than 9 fires going at once and that was not easy. With lag, you will just completely stop running or moving sometimes and then go really fast to catch up. In the time that you are still you can be clicking like mad to move so that when it starts to move again you have 10 different clicks that it will try and catch up. That results in a whole lot of damage on this quest. I have what is considered a cable broadband connection her in the U.S., but with the ISPs having their little peeing contests it can get really messed up when the route goes from one to the other. Jagex really, really needs to start taking into consideration that not every one lives right next to a server when they write their quests.
  8. I took the chance of logging out and the fight not being kept to see if it would get past the damage thing. It did. The quest is now done.
  9. Well I finally won the fight, but now the game won't let me get to the end dialogue. Something keeps hitting me for very small amounts of damage and I can not talk to Char after the fight. I can not send an in game bug report either as the damage keeps shutting that window.
  10. Is there some trick not listed to the final battle against Char? I can not avoid the firewalls because I can not change direction in time. I have to keep moving around to avoid Char, but in doing so I am already moving in one direction and can not stop when the firewall appears. Also is there some way to turn off the firemaking animation so that I can move faster? It takes way too long to light the fire and half the time it automatically sends you right back at Char. It seems like this quest was written by someone using a gaming console with no online lag what-so-ever. ????? Is this another quest that you have to do in EoC to complete for whatever reasons?
  11. I tried rapid restore several times now, but it still goes back to the same reply from Father Lawrence. It seems that I may not have been leaving it on long enough. It is indeed Rapid Restore. Thanks
  12. Hello. In the subquest Curse of Arrav when you go to talk to Father Lawrence and have to match your prayer to the clue he gives you. What do I do when he says "my faith is restored" ? I have tried every prayer and praying at the altar, but it will not move past that?
  13. Thank you for your quick reply. My blood pressure is returning to normal now.
  14. I even tried to go through the process listed on Runescape that tells me to log into my account management page to see why I was banned and it won't let me. It comes back that my account has been banned.
  15. Hello. I was just playing Runescape and had to log out to go feed some stray cats outside. I came back in 20 to 25 minutes later and now it says my account has been locked? I try to log in and it says that there is no reply from the log in server. I tried to log into the forums and that is when it said that my account has been locked? How do I contact them if I can not log in? I even tried to log into my free account with a different e-mail and it says that it is locked as well?
  16. Hello. I was slaying Aquanites as part of a slayer assignment when I was pleasantly surprised with a very nice drop of 20 noted Rune Platebodies.
  17. Hello. When I try to open tip.it at the moment, it loads like this: What do I need to do to fix this???? The forums look like normal. I am using Windows 7 Home premium and the latest Firefox browser.
  18. Firstly, when I examine my turoth boots it says that they high alch for 7500 not the 5625 that you have lited on their page. I have a screen shot if you need it, but can't find a decent file host. _____________ Secondly, The Grim tales quest guide should probably be updated. I found a walkthrough on youtube that showed me how to do the piano part, but it was from before the EoC debacle. It would seem that back then the page showed in the upper right hand corner whether it was an Upper or Lower note key that your cursor was over. It does not show that now. Your walkthrough does not give specifics on which notes are Upper orLower either, I had to use the RuneHQ walkthrough to find that. So the notes in order are Upper E, Upper F, Upper E, Upper D, Upper C, Lower A, Lower E, Lower G, Lower A. The Upper keys are on the right hand side of the keyboard and the Lower keys are on the the left hand side. _______________ Thirdly, There is a huge discrepancy between the drops listed on your site and the drops listed on the Wikia site for Fire Giants. I am not sure which is correct or maybe neither are? I do know that you get boatloads of Steel Hatchets from them now, which sucks.
  19. I have no idea how to read sheet music. So what keys are what on the piano? The quest guide just automatically assumes that anyone reading it would knoe how to read music. Which key is which key? There are two of every key. Just a simple list going from left to right with the first key on the left being key number 1 would be highly appreciated. Why wouldn't that be in the guide to begin with?
  20. Wearing the specific clothing that goes with whatevr area you are hunting in supposedly works as well. Sort of a camoflage from what you are hunting. You can also smoke the traps to mask your scent, but that is pretty much of a pain.
  21. Yes you are correct. It looks somewhat like a trapdoor.
  22. Hello. This step in the walkthrough is not correct any longer: 28. Put on your black armour and push the wall directly north of you. There is no wall directly north of you and the ladder going down is to the west immediately after you enter the fortress.
  23. Sorry about the white background in the pic. Do not know how to ge rid of it.
