  1. If you try to mix up the variation from day to day to make every day different, like if you don't keep it at 1k ess a day, you might get bored after a while, even if you add herby and prayer to the daily mix.

Why not do 4k of rc in 3 days, 4th day prayer, then next 3 days rc, then the 4th from that being for herby.

Maples and cooking can be done in f2p anyhow...

I'll explain myself later on the mix as well, so you do have a variation.

  2. How about looking at (if) there are increasing numbers of gold-farmers appearing in WoW instead?

Goldfarmers could've/would've expended their goldmaking accounts (Mass-Drag bots, re-sourcing bots and the like) once JAGeX lipped up the limits. Those accounts then would be under watch, as JAGeX might've re-coded certain areas to basically track them.

Goldfarmers would probably have to start anew, either stay in the RuneScape Market, or in the WoW market, which seems quite profitable. There may be more upcoming games which also seem more alluring.

If they were to stay in the RuneScape market, they have to start with new accounts, all of which probably will be monitored.

On the other hand, to stay in the RS market, they could:

Sell "special" macros for a certain amount of cash - this would die off easily as once one person gets one and cracks it, they'll (hopefully) clean it and share it, further down the line, a middleman will put various bad codes into it, making it either unusuable or ridden with the Devil(Take that into your own meaning, don't want to upset anyone).

(As mentioned in previous posts) Start offering services to train accounts, JAGeX already monitors a bit of IP's, eg. if they see the RS China/Asia region IP one day, then a Canadian the other day and China/Asia again and etc, they'll keep watch and if it happens to be that the China/Asia IP is on for lets say 100 hours a week, compared to the Canadian IP being logged in for 30 minutes in the week.

If the above scenario or similar happens, then the account would of course be watched over, and possibly ban after a while.

When someone buys someone to level their account up, its still RWT, but in this stance, time for money, not money for money.

~edit - Will clean up image when I have time.

  4. Ok, I'm currently Barrowing, and I had a thought about the use of Barbarian potions.

    What we do know:

Caviar comes from Leaping Sturgeons, requiring 70 fishing to catch.

A full potion must be divided into 2 to mix

Each dose of a Barbarian potion with Caviar added heals 6

Here is another thought to add on.

A Barbarian potion(as of 2 doses) will heal 12. Two of them will heal 24 altogether, incrementally however. It will take two spaces.

The potions effects (4) would take one space normally, leaving another for perhaps food. In lower-risk situations, you'd probably use Monkfish, which we know heals just 16. Just say you're using 1 Prayer Potion and a Monkfish, and lets say a single dose of a PP restores 25. You'll get 100 Prayer points and 16hp. Look at what happens if you use Barbarian Potions. You still get 100 Prayer points, but instead of 16hp, you get 24.

Another good use for the Caviar mixing would be Zamorak potions. According to the TipIt herby guide, they take off about 10% of your current hp. Lets say you're using Zamorak pots, and you have 80hp. Normally, you'd be losing the 8hp from a first dose, but if you had it mixed with Caviar, you'd lose only 2 hp. I know this wasn't a good example as Zammy brews are used when praying, but why not?

You have to catch Leaping Sturgeon for Caviar, as they are the only fish that, when gutted, give the ingredient.

A fault with these potions is that you should not replace them instead of normal potions in high-risk situations, i.e. Bosses, but these potions would make good use in Barrows, killing monsters that you preferably use combat style pots against and similar.

As a reader/responder to this thought, what are your thoughts about this?

Note: I find any condescending posts about my playing abilities an offence, so please keep criticism aimed at the subject, not the player.

  5. just use the whole minigame... not only the building :) (collect 1000 oil, 1000 mages and the profit will be masive)

I planned on using about 2.4k Yew/Asyn burns from 67-70 Prayer, halfway through, about 4m cash PROFIT, good cash if you're not in a rush, plus, a lot of exp in either your Combat, Craft, Firemaking and some Prayer.

My profit was with Yews, if I had the requirements to burn Mage logs, the only keys you get are the high Silver and Lvl 3 clues abundance.

The whole minigame is bad however for moneymaking unless you choose to buy certain items. With the infinite stocks of certain items though(via shop), you'll save a minimum of 10k.

If you're lucky, you can get a steady supply of Nature runes, so you can alch all you don't need.

  6. [hide=quotes]
When attacking a Slayer Monster with a higher requirement than your current skill, not only you will hit 0's, a message in your chatbox will say "You need a higher slayer level to know how to wound this monster."

    [/hide]

I was playing the day when slayer was released.

I got this message that day.

Very much not recent or hidden

You're wrong. I very clearly know that every time I go to get my pouches back I attack a few abby demons for the hell of it, I have never gotten this message.

My story exactly, I was in the ALR area and I attacked an Abby Demon to see for myself what it looked like.

I've attacked some low level slayer monsters when my stats were depleted(Slayer too) and I never got the message before.

  7. When attacking a Slayer Monster with a higher requirement than your current skill, not only you will hit 0's, a message in your chatbox will say "You need a higher slayer level to know how to wound this monster."

  8. For the Breaking Illusions part, you do need an assortment of the Crystalline discs, just in case you haven't obtained them earlier, or to convert for other discs.

For the Warped Finale part, if you had to leave the tree to bank, but don't want to go there again, the Healed Tree will become a Spirit Tree destination, hence you can teleport via Edgeville, Ardy, Gnome Stronghold, Gnome Village or Farming patches and the respective trees.

Super Energy Potions (and other energy-revitalising items) are useful in this quest as it requires fair distances to travel by foot.

The Chimes' effects last about 1 minute, may vary though.

I'm also pretty sure you need to use the chimes on the Warped creatures (the one you're targeting, may it be for Slayer) before attacking them.
