Personally I like the idea of Jagex finnaly get some attention. This will begin to make things interesting. Of course nobody wants to see RuneScape turned over to some completely different company, but seeing as how it is catching some attention makes me feel better about wasting my time on it. : The article itself was very informative. I knew Jagex was getting something big, but over $50 million dollars seems incredible. Plus not to mention with the publicity out that a high-dollar company has their eye on RuneScape will more than likely attract more players. Just think how different things would be if shares of RuneScape where bought by Square Enix. The graphics area would leap forward in a matter of months pretty much. I'm not saying that it should though, because many players have pretty slow connections as it is. All the updates are great though. It seems Jagex really know how to make things better without many issues to go against. In my opinion, I also personally thing that Jagex would sale shares first before going public. Actually I really don't think they ever would go public. Really the only things that would be different about RuneScape if Jagex sold out would be the graphics probably, and maybe the server space. More worlds would open up, and bright minds with new ideas for RuneScape updates would cycle through for a while. Pretty much I don't think anyone has anything to worry about though. Jagex is a pretty self-dependant company. Those are just my opinions though...
