  1. [hide]Warning time?

    Yes. You're an idiot.

    Yes. You're a scammer.

No, you didn't take an opportunity, you just took.

Why would you even be proud of that?

And especially why post a picture? If you thought for a second, you might realize that this community isn't a bunch of scamming [bleep]s like you, and that we don't approve of activities like this.

I hope youre happy you've ruined it for other people.

    Go you. Woo. Yeah.

Oh. P.S, just because you're not from the U.S.A, doesn't mean you can't spell your words. CANADIANS SPELL THEIR WORDS TOO, [bleep].[/hide]

Unspam: 60 or so perfect laps into adv course. Agile legs coming soon. <3

I thought it was quite funny.

  2. I'm not sure how Jagex is going to get out of this without it being a failure. Its something they put into the game, meaning they put time and effort into it, yet didn't make an announment out of it. So anyone who doesn't check the forums has a chance at missing out on this. For instance, i would never have known had i not been active on tip.it.

The idea that the secound half of the update got pushed back to later in the week is an even worse failure. That means they released half an update because part wasn't ready. Thanksgiving is a marked date.....it doesn't just sneak up on you.

I can't see how it is possible that Jagex thought this through at all. I'm more than dissapointed in the fact that they wasted time on an update that wasn't put infront of the player base.

Or perhaps the update is huge, and they wanted to release it in two parts. There is the last minute bug that appears in a lot of games, and it doesn't make Jagex a bad company.

Cry some more. So you have to wait a couple more days, big deal.

If this update you speak of is so huge, why on earth would they release 10 already used Turkeys and some dialogue first?

    That makes no sense.

And "cry some more" ? Really? Jesus Christ, he's just pointing out some things he isn't satisfied about. Criticism makes better, saying "cry some more" is just as retarted as saying "If you don't like, don't play" , which also is one of the worst arguments in RuneScape history. JaGeX isn't this perfect company which does everything well, they've made numerous mistakes and will make more in the future. Let's just hope they learn from their mistakes.

  3. On topic. I hope that they will be tagging on a bit more to this event. This would be the first major holiday event that has added nothing whatsoever to the game, I believe.

    Lillies in the spring?....

The lillies were better than this. Mostly because they actually call this an event.

  4. Seriously, how can a game be still good if every update this year, as what you think, sucked, when I see no difference between them and those from the beginning of RuneScape 2 and BTS?

Because things that got added were lame, not the excisting content. The core of the game stayed the same while most updates were dull, uncreative and useless. The upgrades are nice, but the added content will be forgotten after a week.

And your definition of the 'core' of the game is?

Things that haven't/hardly changed since the release of RS2. The game itself, not specifically the content.

  6. The quests this years are definitely better than quite a lot in the past though, both in terms of graphics, storyline and length. The only long quests I had in the past were those that makes you travel here and there to obscure locations, talk to obscure NPC for a part of an item, or puzzles with high failure rates. I spent more time travelling around than reading storylines.

The length of the recent quests were everything but long. WGS (although one of a kind) took me hours and hours to complete with a guide. Most of the quest that were released this year could be completed in 30-60 minutes without a guide. This ofcourse based on my own experiences. They also lacked bosses, which is a good way to end a quest.

Also something that bugs me is that the official difficulty is based on the requirements (Within the Light was a Master quest) rather than the actual difficulty of the quest itself. This had nothing to do with this topic though. :P

I'm still waiting for that one huge update that will hopefully make complainers like me shut up. C'mon JaGeX, don't you guys have something up your sleeve?

  7. The updates you name are great and all, but they should come along with bigger updates. And that's what I'm missing this year; big updates. Alot of updates this year were things you would forget about the day after.

This week I thought there would be a big update. If you look at the Twitter hint you should know why. They were very enthousiastic about this update for reasons unknown to me. They (somewhat) updated the Champions Challenge and made alot of minor changes (No idea why the haircuts weren't just put in "Other news" or the Patch Notes). I can very much enjoy these updates but they don't last long. An imp that follows you around with a banner is fun the first day but gets boring very quickly.

Also we haven't seen a decent quest in ages. Most of the quest JaGeX released this year were fillers or were not even done, but just ended half way through the quest (Curse of Arrav, anyone?). I enjoy RuneScape mostly because of it's quest because they feel like you don't have to do them like almost everything else in RuneScape. I now have a Quest Cape and I'm really waiting for that one quest that will blow my mind.

All in all, it's been a decent year (so far), but it's really not as great as you describe. Most of the updates that get frontpage news articles should be put in "Other news". Maybe JaGeX's view on what a big update is changed since MMG took 'control'.

You can add them to the list if you want ;)

  9. Ehm, why did the quest end halfway? What happened to quests that actually had an ending? It's just like with the Curse of Arrav quest, it ended halfway. In the end a NPC tells you to wait until he needs you again. What kind of a lame ending is that?

It's like reading a book and halfway the books stops and tells you to wait until the next book is released to find out about the rest of the story.

How about JaGeX makes real quests that take longer than 20 minutes to do and actually have a complete story on their own.

Uhm...yea, it's kind of the 3rd part in a 5-part series.... it's not supposed to have an ending...

It's supposed to be a part of a storyline but the quest itself should still have it's own 'mini-story' so to say. Quest in a series of quests should have a good ending which actually gives some closure to a certain part of the story and still have something to look forward to. I don't have the feeling that I've actually completed something although the reward message clearly thinks otherwise.
