  1. Getting IDd every single [bleep]ing time I buy alcohol at the exact same LCBO I've been using for the past 3 years straight. That is the worst line I ever have had to stand in, in my entire life. You just feel the stares of people thinking you're underaged. [bleep] I hate the planet earth.

Umm... it's a law? If you look under 40, they *have* to ID you.

Yeah but if you worked at the LCBO and the same person bought alcohol every week would you be identifying them every single time like you have short-term memory? You might say yes and yadda yadda to be right and that it's the law but any normal person wouldn't. Would I be indentifying my friend that I've known for 10 years if he came there all the time? No I wouldn't. I wouldn't be all, "Oh hey Ken I'm gonna have to ask for your ID again cause it's the law." I wouldn't do that to him every week.

Quit acting like a child. Your 5 minutes are not so precious that it's worth an employee potentially losing their job for not doing it correctly.

  2. I gained a lot of weight freshman year, and in a bad way. I was like 135 when I started, I'm 160 now and I can't fit in my size 30 waist pants or a lot of my boxers anymore.

Gonna change that starting now. 50 sit-ups and push-ups both when I wake up and before bed, doing the 10 per post thing (10 push-ups and sit-ups for each post I make on here on another forum, and on 4chan. I'm also gonna do 10 for each post AND reblog on Tumblr or post on Facebook.) Need to get some running shoes, when I do I'm going to start running at least a mile each day. My family has recently changed diet so we only make healthy food now after my dad had a heart attack, lots of vegetables now, so diet isn't a problem anymore except for soda, which I'm going to cut down to no more than 1 can a day.

I'm pretty sick of seeing myself like this in the mirror, plus if I get in shape I'm sure my girlfriend won't complain.

  3. I miss Brainiac on that channel... That used to be such an awesome show. Not sure if it's on any other channel.

Also, Code Monkeys. Just found out I can re-download both seasons onto my Ipod. I wish this show would get a third season...

    Yes, I loved Braniac!

I haven't watched tv for over a year except for The Walking Dead, but when I used to, I remember G4 was always Cops, Cheaters, Ninja Warrior, and Attack of the Show. AotS used to be okay but it started sucking. I couldn't care less about the other shows.

  4. I would have loved to go to Outside Lands, but it's too expensive.

So I'll be going to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass at the end of summer, it's a free festival that mostly focuses on Bluegrass but has some great other bands. Last year I saw Bright Eyes, Broken Social Scene, Buckethead, and some others. No line-up yet, but I'm excited!

  5. I'm learning to drive starting today with my dad teaching me.

So we practice in an empty parking lot but all he constantly does is scream at me for doing things wrong. No positive reinforcement when I get anything right. If I accidentally cross a line in the parking lot its "OH COME ON YOU WOULD HAVE WRECKED THAT CURB IF IT WAS A CURB", I made ONE turn in the wrong direction because I heard him wrong and its "IF WE WERE ACTUALLY DRIVING YOU COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE, WHY DONT YOU EVER LISTEN TO ME?"

    [bleep]ing aggravating.

  6. I found a [bleep]ing snake in my room. My rooms in the basement, and its summer so the snakes are out. I'm scared to go back in... It was big and colorful. I killed it with hedge clippers. It was about 3 ft long. I'm so scared of snakes.

Man, I complain because I find spiders nearly daily, but that just blows that out of the water, holy shit.

  7. I needed some money from my parents today and my dad didn't want to go to the bank, so he told me to go into his closet, find the change jar, and just "take two handfuls". So I go in and find this HUGE bucket filled to the top, mostly consisting of quarters. Grabbed two big handfuls and came away with nearly $20, and I didn't even scratch the surface.

That thing must be a lifetime of saving change.

  8. And then EA pulls this...

I like how they spin this like they're being so generous by giving us extra content.

Meh we've known about it for ages and it does save money, considering they'll each cost $15.

Games shouldn't cost $120+ to get all the content.

This. DLC is the worst thing to happen to games. Now they feel like they can leave out content "for the future". It was better when you got all the content by actually playing the game.

  9. Dead Space 3 makes me want to hurry up and grow some balls and play the first one. It's been sitting on my shelf untouched since I played it for one hour.

  10. One thing I noted about the typical "Internet" fashion style is being too effeminate. It's glaringly obvious in this thread too.

Oh yeah, I decided on a pair of sunglasses. Not to break up all the suit talk or anything.

why this over a pair of wayfarers?

I like the look. Also my regular glasses are Wayfarer-style, why get two of the same frames?

  11. Had a really good day.

My girlfriend is down from SF for 2 weeks and she lives an hour from me when we're both at home. So today she visited and we and 3 other friends went out to lunch. Had some great Korean BBQ, she met my friends (who turned out to really like her) and met my parents, who seemed to like her.

Also got my copy of Sigur Ros - Valtari in the mail today.

And after a bunch of complications, my prescription sunglasses finally mailed out today. Should get them by mid-way through next week.

  12. So this is about the tuition hike crap? In general, most of Anonymous' causes are reasonably just, but I really don't care this time. I know it's a whole different situation up there, but I have little to no sympathy for the students getting upset over those hikes.

Why not? Serious question, students (at least in the US, not sure about Canada) don't usually have the capacity to pay for school in the first place, but due to society's "need' for you to have higher educations, have to take out loans, and tuition hikes only make it even worse.

That being said, I doubt a bunch of 14 year old kids jacking off to ponies can do anything about it.

  13. Today I walked an hour and a half to check out this new record store, scored some sweet deals (Beck's Mellow Gold for $25, really hard to find, and a few jazz albums).

Talked to the owner for a while, asked if he needed any help over summer and he said to check back again soon, so maybe that'll pull through. Walked home, took another hour and a half.

I wouldn't mind working there, walking 3 hours a day would help get me in shape.

  14. Had one hell of a past few days. Left Sunday night at midnight for an 8 hour drive to San Francisco to pick up my girlfriend and other friend, then an hour back to Mountain View to wait in line all day for a free k-pop concert. Saw a lot of groups, Girls' Generation, Kara, f(x), and a bunch of others. Had pretty great seats, close enough to see the stage without a problem. Then drove back today. Needless to say, I'm exhausted.

  15. Got another update, apparently he had 100% blockage in his main artery and lots of other clots. Not sure if all the terminology is right, that's what my stepmom told me. But they got it cleared, he'll just have to stay in ICU overnight, and he definitely has to quit smoking now/

  16. My stepmom just called, he's having a heart attack and they're running some wire thing to try and clear it up, she didn't really explain it. Don't know if he'll be there overnight.

  17. Yesterday kind of sucked, had to say goodbye to my girlfriend and friends at school for 3 months and then an 8 hour drive to come home for the summer.

Got my room all unpacked and set-up now, feels weird to be back in this tiny little room (smaller than a dorm).

Anyway, today I had some Amazon credit to use so I pre-ordered the new Sigur Ros LP and ordered some packs of Magic cards (AVR, haven't gotten any yet). Now I'm planning a trip up to SF for 4th of July with a friend down here to visit my school friends and girlfriend again.
