True, but as you gain more levels it will taker more cowhides it boost your crafting, so people would rather save time by buying cowhides rather than killing cows. I know I'm not up for the challenge to kill 5k+ cows and run back and forth to the bank for one crafting level. but when you get higher up in XP you can do stuff like jewelry and gems

100 is a lot when most people just kill cows for XP and you can just pick up the cowhide. I already have 75
