  1. *Quest Spoilers in this thread* I've been thinking slightly about Nomad due to the high amount of Mahjarrot speak around Runescape comunities. What first come to mind, is Nomad's final words, "You have doomed this world.". Stating that, due to stopping him, you the player have doomed the world to a greater evil. The only unbelievably strong creatures (excluding gods) known in Runescape currently are the Dragonkin and Lucian. My current theory is that Nomad, was going to use this power he has taken from the souls, in soul wars to help him stop Lucian and his ever rising amount of power, thanks to the staff of aramdyl and The stone of Jas. What supports this, is the connection of Elite Black Guards to Nomad, who he calls(called) "Spies". Elite Black Guards are minions of Lucian, who in this going rate, is the modern day's Zamorak. Nomad needs to exterminate these spies that enter his dungeon so that they cannot inform Lucian of his plans, who would stop him (as he is currently stronger then him). Which would explain his paranoia of you (he thinks you are a spy). What makes Nomad good though? He is stealing souls to make him more powerful. First, my opinion is that Mahjarrot don't have what we humans call "morality" (or sense of doing good and wrong). However, they do know what is good or bad to geilnor. (my thought) Nomad was stealing these souls so that he could grow immensely in power, eventually being strong enough to kill Lucian during the ritual. He may be wanting to do this, as Lucian may have plans to completely rule of geilnor once he gains his full power during the ritual. Final Note: Before his graphical change, wasn't Nomad generally a nice guy? Well not cruel, or, well with the want to kill you. So summary: Nomad was collecting the souls from soul wars to gain immense power. He had to keep this a secret from everyone, especially the Elite Black Guards (Lucian's minions-> because Lucian is really a modern day Zamorak). Which is why he killed them. Because of this secret, he developed paranoia, thinking everyone is a spy and out to destroy him. This is why he thinks your a spy, therefore wanting to kill you. He wanted to use this huge amount of power to stop/kill Lucian (most likely during the ritual), who is gaining large amounts of power from the staff of Aramdyl and the Stone of Jas. When we stopped Nomad (not killing him), the soul machines that were powering him, where stopped. This means that Nomad is no longer able to stop Lucian. Nomad says "You have doomed this world." to you after you stop him because, now he cannot stop Lucian. Nomad beleives Lucian will Control/Destroy the entierty of Geilnor once the Mahjarrot Ritual has occurred. I don't think this has been disscussed, but i was thinking about it yesterday, and all the imformation i know fitted together. Tell me if there is something wrong with the theory.
  2. Just like Slayer. Except you should only earn 1/10 of regular combat xp while doing tasks. And all Slayer drops need to become untradeable. And give the untradeable whip a Slayer requirement of 30 (Don't worry, we'll keep Abyssal Demons at 85 so it will be pointless). And do an item rollback after each Slayer task. That way, the only incentive to train Slayer is for more Slayer xp. I was not referring to the "drops" or "rewards" in any aspect of slayer until i mentioned the tokens. So no need for sarcasm-.- I stated it is like slayer for the higher level you get, the more things you can kill. As for the exp, again, was talking about slayer, not combat. In any case, if it were regular experience, all dungeoneering would become is a separate game inside Runescape. Which, as i said, was what it original was. Additionally, every comment everyone is giving immediately states it is useless. Does anyone have something called "patience"? Summoning was useless when it came out for various reasons. Now it's one of the most important skills, similar to agility and magic. General farming was useless. Fruit trees did little to nothing, allotments did nothing, same with hops. Cooking got updated so potatoes+sweetcorn could be used. Can you not see something similar happening to Dungeoneering where it is incorporated in other places? OUTSIDE of Daemonhiem.
  3. IT was actually originally meant to be a game of it's own, not a 'mini-game'. They decided the aspects of it could be implemented into runescape (the skills), so.. well they did lol. I would also like to say, there is such a thing as "rushing". Much faster exp overall. Best used in groups of two or more (as with solo, you tend to take much longer times to kill things, therefore taking longer times to finish the dungeon). With rushing, it's basically just combat, and maybe smithing/fletching/runecraft if you want to make a strong pickaxe (bwuak beast), bow or a few runes for gatestone/curses. Additionally on that aspect, you don't have to use every skill. When i solo, i only fish if there is litterally no food left, i have close to no 'lifepoints'/prayer left and i've still got the entire boss+more to do. I almost never woodcut, unless i want a bow, the logs i can buy from smuggler anyone. And blah blah for the rest of the skills. Oh, and on the cash, charms can be alched for big cash. Blue charms=11k FTW :P ___ On dugeoneering's future. There will be a patch update in the next month or so (disappointed with that, one of the mods said it wouldn't be liked summoning where it was rush {patch update}). That will include the rest of floors, bosses and rewards. Everyone can be certain that in the future some quests will involve dungeoneering, or exploring a cave/dungeon. Also, more areas will open up, perhaps the dwarves stumbled upon a similar circumstance as the frimeniks did? You don't need to wait for jagex to "confirm" they will be making more areas. Sure it may take a long time, but dungeoneering opens an extremely large possibility of future events in runescape. ___ What it is at the moment. Here's my straight opinion: Is like, Slayer -> Not a skill without everything else. In slayer, it's combat that allows more access to monsters. Dungeoneering does this (bosses/slayer monstes), however, needs purpose. Is like, hunter: -> Higher levels allow more accessibility (more traps). With Dunge, you can bind more armor/weapons. Is like, construction -> can only be done in one place. Different to construction though, dungeoneering basically locks you there, like in real life. Reading some of the journals, the mahjorat that went down there spent over a century there. And Thok and his brother? spent quite a long time as well ( a few things i think). Is like, Quests -> The area holds an (multiple) actual storylines. Including Thok's himself, the human bosses, the majhorat and why the other demonic monsters are there. In future, more storylines could unfold with future dungeons. Is like, an activity -> Purely for the token aspect. A different way of obtaining the items may fixed this (perhaps special rooms/dungeons that relate to the item. Like with the anti-poison totem, you could have been challenged to fight in a room that constantly poisons you, and you must stop the poison killing you)
  4. Maybe i should have explained what i am actually doing. I am making a movie (stop motion) which is made using a large selection of snapshots of the manikin peices. This means the manikins will move; by slightly changing the angle of the pieces each time (parts of the pieces in the picture) Now despite what badphooeybad was the general idea of what i need, i can't use that mostly for individual robe pieces for body parts. If i do your way badphooeybad, how can i get the exact same angles/lengths of the robes on each body part?
  5. That's why i was asking for a template. I'm not the best drawer, nor have the best hand-coordination with a mouse/pen tool (I just make my lines crooked or the wrong angle ect). If you knew any actual instructions (website perhaps?) that's the kind of thing i'm after.
  6. I'm doing this on the computer. There are no pins. it's individual pieces which i'm rotating/resizing. And i'm asking how i can make a Robe/Holy figure type thing. Or even better, an actual template for a manikin wearing a robe or is a priest/monk.
  7. Hope i posted this in right section. I'm looking for some manikan shiloutte pieces. The 2D kind which is sometime used as a magnet. I'm asking for the exact same thing as the 3D ones where you can move around the body bits, except all i'm asking this time; is for a 2D version. here's an example of what i'm after: ( I have all the body pieces for this one) Now i need something like a priest or a monk (some kind of robe with hood). So if there's some form of that on the Internet, or even some instructions on how to make a silhouette like that into a robe (I have Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI and a full set of a NORMAL human manikin *see picture*) If anyone could please tell me on how to do that, it'd be brilliant, as i'm in desperate need for it for my art project.
  8. STELLAR STOP PRESENTS The H.A.M Protest March With the release of dungeneering, far too many vile creatures have crawled their way into Runescape. We as H.A.M members MUST do something about it! An anonymous member of Ham also had this to say about the new skill, and the protest march against it. > The Details < H.A.M Protest March Date: 1st May 2010 Times: British Summer Time (BST): .............................10:00 AM (Saturday) Eastern European Time (EET): ........................12:00Pm Noon (Saturday) Austalian Eastern Standard Time (AEST): ........07:00PM (Saturday) Mountain Standard Time (MST): ......................2:00 AM (Saturday) American Eastern Standard Time (EST): ......... 4:00:00 AM (Saturday) Can't find time this is for you? Inventory: No items will be needed, as the protest will eventually lead to Daemonhiem, where no items are allowed anyway. Notes: Would be helpful if you could prepare your own chants for the march before hand. All clans and people are welcome, as long as they come dressed in a H.A.M outfit. Main Hosts: (TBA) General+ rank in Clan Chat. *Note: This is not a hate event against Dungeoneering, it is purely a fun role-playing event. PICTURES::
  9. I thought that fit in with "needs some changes". In general, the rewards are alright (i don't know much about the combat things, nor would i understand it very well), but i don't think they even played the content (as said by a lot of players). Seriously, how did they not realise that it's impossible to get the items at the level given? Physically possible at Level 70 (something) to get the bonecrusher which is unlocked at level 20 something.... Although it's said to get fixed soon; Should not have happened in the first place, mainly because it's not a gltich or code error, they did that purposely.
  10. Ah ok. Well i was going with Ka ram buan before. Shame they don't help you with a lot lol :P Thanks
  11. Karambwan. How do you pronounce that? Is it like Ka-ram-bu-an Or Ca-rum-buan ? Idk, just guessing. I'm using in my RS Advert video, kinda need to know how to actually say it lol.
  12. ah ok, i've never heard of much rumours, didn't have much time for game then. Thanks for that info.
  13. Not sure about this one But has this been here before? I noticed just now when doing rev hunting with clan. It's in level 47 wildy, in that destroyed ruins area on far east of geilnor. Edit: sorry for double post

  15. Sweet thanks, Should help me. All good info :D
  16. Ok Thanks guys. So to some everything up. -> Disease rates are all the same for every single patch in runescape. Growing: Each and every patch has 5 minute "ticks". But some different patches (like trees) may require multiple "ticks" to advance in a cycle. A cycle is a number of paces before a plant growing a Growth stage. Each plant has a different number of "Growth stages" However, some plants may have a different number of cycles in order to advance in their own unique growth stages. In terms of losing time from growing things. It is all based on how fast you can plant something. If you plant something at this stage, but it takes you too long to plant another one (you plant after a "tick" or "cycle" has happened). You lose end up with a plant that hasn't grown, while others have grown. On disease, when something is diseased, you lose however many cycles it is diseased for, until it is either cured, or dies as the cycles have reached the next 'growth stage'. Farmers, instantly cure things basically, so you will only lose 1 cycle. Which is just an additional few minutes too add up to that cycle (not growth stage) lost. Is there anything i got wrong there?
  17. Ok that clears up quite a lot. What i do ask though, You said you lose 'so many cycles" when it's diseased, wasn't it so when something is diseased, after the next cycle passes, it dies? Wasn't that the case? And i'm guessing that the "3" day tree growth is if you had it protected and it was diseased at every single cycle. Hmm, thanks an entire bunch paw. So i can use you're information with the times on wiki for probably the most accurate thing i have? Will read answer tomorrow, goodnight.
  18. um... what's the "myarm" patch?? Is that trollheim? But now i get you. For example, if the tree has 11 sets of 4 hours growth. If you planted at the very beginning of the 4 hours, that's an additional 4 hours. While if you planted it, at the very end, you save about 4 hours. So i can assume, that since i leave my willow trees with no protection (i'm lazy to get matierals), they'd have the same chance of dieing as if, if i didn't protect my papayas trees. Because i was reading "Zaps" guide. And i'm kinda just stuck right now to protecting fruit trees almost always (unless it happens to be more then 10% of seed price).
  19. I'm disagreeing with you with disease is totally random. Because i know different patches have different disease rates. Like trees disease less then fruit. But i'm not sure if there's any difference in each tree. Like is acorn 20% disease, while magic is 30%? I know where tip.it got their times from, but i was just wondeirng, because they said jagex stated that compost/disease affects it. So how can has you said, a fruit tree take 3 days to grow. Obviously, the compost/disease can't be that drastic.
  20. I'm trying to do a farming table. and i need some stats. Would anyone have a proper idea what the growths times of each thing is? Because idk if i can trust wiki on that, and Jagex removed all of times of the Knowledge base. Also, when it comes to disease. Does the actual fruit/vege/thing it is affect the chance of it getting diseased? (of course without protecting). Or is it what actual patch it is? (I.e. Do ALL trees have XX% of getting diseased? or is it just a certain tree, which has THIS certain % of getting diseased?) Same deal with all the herbs/allotments. Is it just a generally "herb patch has 50% chance of dieing" or is it "snapdragon has 30% of dieing while ranarr has 40%". Thanks for any help :)
  21. Lovely guide. Just like the tree calculator; below is a herb calcuator, http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Farming_herbs showing you the profit ect of each herb. From what i can see right now, ranarr flogs out all of the other herbs. With over 40+ more gp/exp then others. The caculator is a slightly different to your maths however though, as it's done with the average of 6, instead of 6.5. Hope that helps ^_^
  22. Ah ok, so 24 hours. Why can't everything be universal :'( Thanks though. So daylight saving would not be in Britan right now, as it's winter there. Okey dokey. I never get pacific, cause i'm right on the pacific ocean as well ><. but thanks :)
  23. Is daylight saving during october-march? Or Summer? Cause i'm in australia and most of us (not me, i'm in queensland) are in daylight saving). What's 4pm pacific? where's pacific?
  24. Could someone please tell me what the reset times of each daily chore is? I go at 10:00am (or 0000 GMT) to get my things, i did the phoenix and i've gotten all of the achivement diary items, but when i go to bert or ahrien, they say they havn't gotten their things yet. When do they reset? It's getting quite annoying having to do it every 2nd day.....
