more like $300 AU more :S i dont care about running games smoothly at ultra high detail :? and just from reading the reviews of the FX5200 it seems that card gives out alot of bang for its buck too. It depends on what you mean with "alot of bang". I wouldn't be caught dead playing modern games with it, but I suppose it's enough if you're on a workstation. well, what other options are there? im all for this "future-proofing" thing but surely there has to be an uh- cheaper cards out there..

i was looking online at amd processors and what they cost. this online store had them on special, i could get an ATHLON64-3400+ if i added another hundred.. http://www.scorptec.com.au/index.php?prdid=00010062 would it be worth it? cause im trying to make this system last awhile so i think it would be worth getting a faster cpu and maybe 1gig of ram or something.. :?

because you have bad taste in music. anyways, i have around $2000 AUD and plan to use this machine for graphic design and gaming as well as the usual surfing of the internet and such.. this system is around 1300 i think minus software but i only need a copy of win xp
