Well, I paid half for my pink nano for my 13th birthday so the ipods were allowed at 13 if you paid half as birthday gifts. My brother did the same for his black nano, then I paid half for my touch when I turned... 16? Sounds right, 16. My sister wants a touch for her 13th with the halfsies deal, but my mom doesn't know if she wants her to have one because she can text from it and she can't have a phone until 15 because that's the rule. My mom had a struggle figuring out who gets my old touch at Christmas (my brother still has his nano, my sister has my old nano) and she decided she gets it because it will be a time sucker for my brother and she doesn't want my sister having texting. My sister had a friend's touch for months and would text all the time and stay up late at night playing it, sooo. Siblings can't have it, mom doesn't really want it but there's nobody else to take it. tl;dr 3 ipods have been purchased under the halfsies rule
