  1. There is room for a lvl 71 (or probably 61) pickaxe: the dragon pickaxe. I'm not sure what Jagex's view is on this but what I do know is that dragon item discussion isn't allowed on the suggestion topics. My idea behind the ancient picks is that they're mining with a difference, and possibly heppful, making money making and etc. faster.

  6. ^^This my friend is n_odie^^ Anyways I've already said that they're untradeable, in the minigame section. I deliberately left room for sequals in there, which you noticed... 1 point to you :D But you need a mining lvl to use every other pickaxe... if you mean both mining and smelting, then that's a good idea, eg you'd need 40 mining and 40 smithing to mine gold bars. How about these for quest requirements: 40 thieving 35 attack 35 strength 35 defence 45 smithing 45 mining

  8. Ok I think I get you: new part tot he quest: Flamush will refuse to let you into his house because he is angry. Asking him why will make him tell you that this is because King Roald stole his 'Olde Hammer' which was given to him by the 2nd great dwarven king. He tells you to leave. Upomn hearing this you deduce that he will let you in if you get it back for him. To get it back you must infiltrate the Varrock palace by joining the palace guard and becoming close to Roald until you have the opportunity to steal it back (this requires a thieving of 35). There are 5 parts to this section. You need a guard look (like in black knights fortress) and lvl 30 attack, strangth and defence. 1. Proving yourself to the head guard, where you must slay a particulary nasty dragon that has been causing them some trouble. 2. You must then do your first night watch, in hich you foil some disputes and even a robbery by the black arms gang!(of the museum) 3. You must help the king out and find him some special roses that grow only on white wolf mountain for the queens birthday, this gets you in his good books. 4. The king will then ask you to to transport a 'mysterious rune' to a place just east of Canifis, this will require a normal journey, but there will be a lot of 'thugs lvl60' encounters for you, including an ambush and a road block at the gate east of the sawmill. 5. You will then be asked to stand guard at the kings chambers, where you will have to steal the hammer while the other guards are distracted (either you have to find ways of distarcting them or random stuff happens that distarcts them, bot sure which). Get it, then give it to Flamush, quest carries on as normal. What do you all think?

  10. Thanks for your support arrowbld and n_odie (he's so cool \ )! Anyway flava, how about diamond? AS is my understanding Onyx is the rarest, then dragonstone and then diamond. I don't think diamonds very hard to come by, but expensive enough to make the quest reasonbly challenging. You have to be high level to do quest anyway as the dungeons would be quite hard.
  11. But the the picks could be sort of 'bejewelled' without it the process of making the pick seems kinda easy. 2 addy bars 5 soft clay 5 magic logs for example. Ok, maybe onyx is far fetched, but maybe at least diamond, I'm not sure how common a dragonstone is...

The ancient picks-Quest requirements: 35 thieving 30 attack 30 strength 30 defence 40 smithing 40 mining You talk to Smorlorf, he tells you that he needs you to help him make some special deliveries to some special Dwarven lords. He tells you that the first dwarf is in a small house just north of the tree gnome stronghold. You must mine Smorlorf 12 coal and 2 adamant ores and 2 elemental ores, he will use his master smithing levels to create two ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâelemental adamant bars̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. You must then take them to Tungden, the hermit that lives in the house. Tungden will combine the bars to make it ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâpure̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ and tell you to smelt it into the shape of pickaxe head whilst adding in a cut diamond and 5 soft clay. You must make your way through the dungeon to the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâocean furnace̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s is amazingly cold. If you place them in you will get a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâaqua pick head̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, take it back to Tungden and he will say he needs 5 magic logs to complete the handle. Once you have done that you will receive the legendary ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâaxe aqueous̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, it turns out Tungden was make a lord for being the master of the ocean forging clan, all long dead except for Tungden. Take it back to Smorlorf and he will praise you and ask you to deliver 12 coal and 2 adamant ores and 2 elemental ores (again), he̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll make the bars and you must deliver them to Flamush the Dwarf lord that lives by the Bandit Camp in the Kharidian desert. You will create a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâpyro pick head̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ if you do this, give him 5 magic logs to create the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâpick molten̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. Flamush was a lord because him and the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâinferno clan̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ guarded the secrets of the eternal flames, deep beneath the desert. He explains that both picks must never be used t the same time, or risk the anger of the gods unleashed upon you. Smorlorf will congratulate you on your arrival and you will be rewarded REWARDS: 30,000mining xp 30,000smithing xp 2,000dp The ability to buy the axe aqueous and pick molten from Smorlorf in exchange for 10,000dp. The ability to smelt aqueous armour and molten armour. What do you think? Looking for someone to make photoshop images...

  19. Yeah! That's the genral idea behind the picks :D And flava it was only an example, you could use it for spell tabs too or construction, there's clay right by Rimmington.

  21. He says its boring and the picks take out 2 boring methods. For instance, you want to make clay stuff for crafting xp, usually you'd need to use water with all your clay, but no more! And no more slaving back and forth between banks for your smelting xp, just mine it, use at anvil and drop! flava0falcon, it explained in one of my earlier posts that you get the picks through Smorlorfs mini-game, so its p2p. Yes you still get smith xp, but only half as much (to make it more fair), and they're addy strength otherwise it would be unfair to have an uber cool pick that owned everyone else, the strength of mining is toned down then balanced with outlandish special effects. the last page had a smorlorf picture but I'm not very good at editing on photoshop.
  22. There's a bracelet of clay? I'll have to get me one of those.... anyways a bejeweled pick sounds like a cool idea, maybe with different jewels having different effects....

  24. I like the names drapit, and the 'only one at any time' idea is cool, makes it fairer. The quest idea sounds pretty good but I did like the mini-game idea. Maybe you have to do quest for Smorlorf before you can buy the picks, making them for him and so on.
