  1. If you want to do clues, it's worth it to just learn how to do them properly. If it takes you longer than 2 mins per puzzle you need more practise. Personally I find them easy but there are youtube vids and other guides that people can learn off.

No you don't get them from elites, but you do get puzzle knots. If you don't like sliding puzzles you're going to hate them. They require a very similar thought process but (if using the method I use) it's slightly more "brute force".

EDIT: sorry I forgot, you do get them, but they're more complex (read bigger)

  2. Definitely isn't impossible, but very close in my opinion.

Personally speaking, I wouldn't be able to bare getting the maximum amount of experience in certain skills that I find boring, and I'm not sure many people have an unlimited amount of time to spare as well, although we never really know what kind of RuneScape player could arise, I think it will be quite sometime before someone gets the maximum amount of experience in any skill.

You do realise that this has already happened with virtually every skill already with many people having got the maximum amount of experience in seperate skills

That does not compare to 200M in ALL of them.

And what does that have to do with what I said? I quoted someone saying that it would be quite some time before someone gets the max xp in ANY skill. I was just letting them know that that had already happened.

  4. What gives the fastest exp for runecrafting at level 60. I know it is probably ZMI, but I would like to profit a lot more. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately you cannot get the best of both worlds.

You have to decide which your main priority is (imo skills>cash).

Personally, I find natures with the familiar (ghraak/kyatt) to be particularly relaxing.

  5. I noticed this on runetracker: http://runetracker.org/track-w+99+skiller

This guys total exp has crashed by over 80 million, his combat exp has gone right done. Pretty weird...

Can't access from work so I can't see the page but I'm guessing that a change like that is going to be down to a name change.

If you change your name on runetracker it keeps the same progress and doesn't crash

It recognizes you changed your name and continues as normal

You just type in your new name and wal la

Really? I vaguely remember reading that if you changed names, and then someone else took your old one then the XP could be messed up like that.

    Quite possible I'm wrong though

  6. I think what OP meant to say was:

Discuss the theoretical consequences that would occur if the world gate opened and Runescape suddenly had access to Modern day items, technology etc...

Personally, I think we'd see 99% of all the gold in the game flood out of Runescape and into RL. It's only useful for shards and MTK (imo) and the occaional nominal fee charged by some NPCs (flying carpet, farmers etc). Aside from the obvious millitary hardware, I think the next most common import to Runescape would be transport. We'd have dirt bikes galore going between Falador and Lumbridge with ramps to cross the bridges.

  7. Slightly off topic but:

Would implimenting a situation whereby any item that had much greater number of offers in than were traded in every update (for example, if 10 blue phats were sold but there were offers in for 1000) then the price boundries would increase by (again for example) 1% a month? Would this allow items to reach their "correct" price more quickly and easily?

I ask here because I think that the interest displayed in this thread shows that you guys are the most qualified to answer.

Edit: To clarify, I wouldn't want the GE price to change, just the min/max.

  8. Yer i use d boots. Even though im getting some contradicting answers it seems i should go for 70 prayer by everyone. But one question about peity, wont i be losing money on most tasks seeing as i go through prayer real fast? Its probably a stupid question but i wana know what im spending my money on.

70 pray is definately worth getting, even if you don't piety every task. I like to afk my slayer so praying piety isn't worth it to me but I would still definately recommend getting piety for boss fights (quests only - you shouldn't be boss hunting with your stats)

    Fury is definately worth getting.

It's widely believed that Defender > DFS in 99% of situations.

And as GS are junk because there is always a better alternative (claws>ags, EE/EEE>sgs, SWH/darklight>BGS, ZGS is about the only one without a comparible, but it's still crap). They're 2 handed and slow - whips give better dps.

Bandos is good, but at your stats, not really worth it imo. Invest in skills over equipment.

  9.

If the item on ge is worth say 5mil and street value is 100mil

Seller puts up item and 95mil worth of junk. Junk being items that aren't valuable or that useful but you accumlate over time (eg useless logs, bad summon pouches etc) this means the trade is worth 100mil.

The buyer can then offer 100mil gold.

Um.. I still don't get it..

How do i obtain those items ? and how can i find out which of them will rise ?

p.s. maybe there is a guide, or something ?

    Alright, imagine this.

Jagex impliments a new update that means dragon knives always do 500 damage (I said imagine XD). Obviously, people will be willing to spend a lot more on them, but their price is still locked into whatever it was before the update by the GE price. The people with the knives won't want to sell because they know that the price is going up and the GE undervalues their item. So, to get round this, someone who has dragon knives says: "I'll sell my knives if you agree to buy my maple longbow (u) at the same time as I've had them for ages and they won't sell because nobody wants them". It this case, the knives are the undervalued item, the bows are junk which cannot normally be sold and the eventual price of the knives + the bows is the "Street Price".

There are of course items which have existed before the GE which are undervalued (the majority of discontinued rares).

1 thing to know, it's ALWAYS faster to make pure GP than to make junk. What I mean by this is, if you get an item from a TT that has a street price of 100m but a GE value of 50m, unless you already happen to have 50m in junk in your bank, it's not worth it to deliberately make it. In the time it takes to make the 50m junk, you could have sold the original item for 50m and made 70m in cash*.

*(numbers made up, but you get the point).

Finding out which items will rise is up to you I'm afraid. But reading all updates is a good start.

  10. Assuming you're not killing them in CTs, it's definately worth repairing the fairy ring in the far south west of the waterfiends area. You'll need 5 bittercup mushrooms and a spade and it will allow you to go straight to Zanaris, walking distance from the bank where you can resupply etc. It also means you can get into the area more easily, without having to jump off the bridge thing meaning you can keep a familiar summoned (I know that used to be a problem, not sure if it still is).

  11. In the time posting and waiting for response, you could've googled it, finished the task, [bleep] and start a new task. Ardougne Mansion.

It took 6 minutes from 1st post to answer.

    Go troll somewhere else.

  12. And about the wc/fm:

Teak 80k/h (with lumberjack, beaver blabla and 28k/h fm xp)

    200M/80k= 2500 hours

    2500*28000= 70M fm xp

    (200000000-70000000)/400000=325 hours

    Makes 2825 hours for these 2 200M

Assuming FM with magic logs = 400K/h

Max longterm wc xp/h is sawmill (105K/h) isn't it?

    200000000/105000= 1905 hours

    200000000/400000= 500 hours

2405 hours + a lot more merchanting time.

Do I use wrong numbers or is it just faster to do fm and wc apart of each other?

Deyan, that's what i thought, and it's not like firemaking costs a hell of a lot.

its quite expensive, and several people do it without realising it, but they typicly only stay for 1 effigy then leave without realising what theyre doing

    you loose over 1m/h

It isn't expensive, or in every case not out of controll, but imagine if it was then you still could do it with maple logs and then you get:

    130000000/180000=722 hours

    2500+722=3222 hours

    200000000/180000= 1111 hours makes 1905+1111= 3016 hours instead of 3222.

And thrust me, in the 206 saved hours you can earn more money as the 50M that it would cost you more.

He was saying that the effigy obtaining was expensive and lol about thrusting you.

OT: I can't help but think that even if there is this magical method, he's trolling by not just saying it. However, from what we've heard it's going to be from a monster that isn't ever camped but is killed by higher levels, so we can assume it's either a slayer monster or something like GWD killcount. The cost of 1m/hr is going to come from either mage or range with fancy bolts. As I have very little experience in these matters, can anyone work it out?

  13. making wines is the absolute fastest cooking xp, but getting grapes can be a [bleep]. You can buy with junk from RSOF if you don't mind that sort of thing...

As for fletching, don't know about arrows, but I'm pretty sure stringing is significantly faster than cutting logs.
