  1. eh guys, I just got a constrution rock after teleporting to my house to make teletabs..... is it me, or does that disprove a few theorys? :wall:

So far I seen no other reports of this. The confirmed method of acquiring it is to find it on the floor next to your portal. However, if someone does obtain it a different way, be sure to screeny it!

  2. The advert is certainly eye-catchy enough. Somehow though, it kind of solidifies to me how much Rs has changed. Jagex has to understandably catch up with the other MMOs on the advertising front and cannot solely rely on word of mouth anymore. It was refreshing during the days that they devoted focus to the game over promotion. To me if the game is solid enough on its own, it will almost advertise itself. But thats naive thinking in today's world I suppose. Ah well, the more players Rs draws in the better the chance that this game will not run out of steam and Jagex will start churning out better updates. Again, kind of wishful thinking on my part :P.

  3. Quite amazing to see the word of mouth advertising our site is getting ...Tip.It has come a long way since its humble beginnings.

    Answer:

I was also introduced to this site by a friend who sadly no longer plays anymore. Was asking advice on one of the nooby F2p quests and basic skilling...he directed me here and I've been here ever since . Took me awhile to get a little braver and actually create a forum account though.

  4. Great.. They're going to chose someone completely random who probably does nothing for the community. I'm all for Jagex picking people to visit them for reasons that they've helped out RS or made an impact on it in someway. Not because they happen to give them money (or send them a postcard).

Yeah I share the sentiment Aurian but you got to remember how much the Big Ticket is playing off the Willy Wonka theme. In that story, the Golden Tickets were hidden in a bar of chocolate and someone got to go to his awe-inspiring chocolate factory just because of their ability to buy a bar of candy :P. Although Charlie's ticket was arguably meant to be lol... Perhaps another Charlie out there will emerge among us . Anyways I'm sure they will not throw draws for them left and right. At least this way they are giving any player (or anyone with the ability to mail a post card) the opportunity to score one.

  5. Hey all, thanks for all the awesome data. We've got quite enough now in regards to the xp rewards. At the moment, we are highly intrigued to find out the higher tier rewards. For now it is confirmed that replica pieces are received after completing the statue and that the statue is limited to 1 completion per week.

    EDIT:

Guide is currently live, to submit corrections please do so here.

Woah that clears up alot of confusion! Heh, this is going to be quite a loooooonnnngggg process. Just a reminder to those submitting images, it is preferable that they aren't obscured by the dropdown menu and are in .png format. Thanks!

  7. Scroll below for updates on new info/pics that are needed ;)!

Hey all, the crew could use some aid in regards to gathering Shattered Hearts data.

    EDIT:

If anyone manages to complete the statue can you get a .png screenshot of it, either in the Varrock Museum or your player owned house? Thanks :)!

    EDIT 2:

    Picture has been obtained.

    EDIT 3:

:!: There are reports of replica pieces being received for the player owned house version of the statue. Any information or .png screenshots are appreciated! :!:

Guide is currently live, to submit corrections please do so here.

  8. Quite a smart move on their part to insert: "This is not related to the new skill" on the last line. As that is immediately where my mind was going ! I do really hope they stay true to their word and release it today. Anticipation always wrecks havoc on me .

you'd be surprised how many people failed to read that part lol :P

RSOF rants forum explosion in t-minus 3, 2, 1... :twss:

  9. My personal favorite was Boots of Lightness, but I believe that since the audio track was copyrighted it may have had a disqualification. Extreme Emotes was a great one to watch but as stated above, it was more of a future feature rather than an existing feature. Out of the current finalists I'm torn between EvilYakuza's "get a maid advert" (love the rave sequence and camera angles) and RuneT00b's "unicorn stallion pouch advert" (love the play on enhancement in RuneScape). As much as we all had our favorites we have to consider that there were over 2k entries. There were bound to be ones that drew less attention and still make it to the finales. While some of the finalists didn't really wow me, I have to say that each was pretty darn original.

  10. To your original inquiry...that is the method I'm using right now in fact . Have been using it ever since 82 smithing (94 smithing currently). I have amassed over 80k bars, and may not end up ever switching to other methods. You just have to bear in mind that you will be smelting bar, after bar, after bar. I still have 90k bars left if I decide to follow through all the way to 99. Still though, its a unique way to level and racks in plenty of xp (caused me to jump from 13 mill mining xp to 20 mill).

  11. The contest is now...CLOSED! Can't wait to see them throw together the shortlist. Oh and this made me giggle:

We'll be posting details of the next stage in a few days once we've had chance to review the rest of the entries (we've made really good progress so far but we've still got hundreds more to check out and they're still coming in thick and fast).

Looks like that's my weekend taken care of. Spare a thought for us when you're out partying this weekend. :P

    Taraa!

Spending a weekend watching 30 second RuneScape machinima shorts...ouch !
