okay here are the questions that i think someone shoulld be able to help me out w/. BTW i'm a member 1.) I'm trying to train my str and att from 40 up to 50; what should i train on? lvl 9 wariors? 2.) Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate of roughly how long this might take for att and str seperately? (ex. 12 hours att 15 hours str) 3.) Can anyone tell me where to find a list of the quests granting xp in the various combat skills? 4, and finally.) I have been searching for a comprehensive guide for a long time that would answer all of the above questions (save number 2), does anyone know of a really good guide like that? -thank you so much for your help!

I just downloaded avast antivirus home edition (its free) from some website like download.com, the only problem is that the file size and version are a little different on my setup than what the website i downloaded it from said, and it seems as if a few other things might be kinda off like that, so i feel like i didn't get the real thing. Is there any way to validate my avast antivirus home edition to make sure that it's the "real deal"?

you need to do 1 of two things: show your parents how miserable you are, tell them that adolescence is a great, fun time and if you miss it now you will have a hole in your life forever, it will always eat away at you. write it down, in a report or something, stating that you should be allowed to visit freinds x hours a week x times a day, and back it up with factual data (such as that kids need to be social and have freinds or they might get depressed). Be willing to comprimese too.

okay, so my computer recognizes mp4s now (i got the codec and now the icon for mp4 files is a film reel) so that seems good. But when i put them on my psp under the E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 thing, they don't show up on my psp! wtf?

sorry i've been gone for a while (off the forums) but I just came to a sort of realization: Your suggestions are all very good and help me toward my goals, but i am not seeking to be a pro or anywhere close, I just want to draw for fun. I mean, isn't it just drawing your way and having fun doing it that matters? So, ultimately, does it really matter if I am perfect or learn to draw this and that first etc etc? And if I learn something the wrong way, like learning manga body types before realistic ones (as some have said that is wrong), is there still time to go back and fix, or 'unlearn' that?

well, i where dsl and cable internet aren't availible and can never be, additionally wireless broadband is too expensive and so is satelite so I am stuck w/ dialup. Now this is tolearable but there is one problem. I want podcasts for my Zen but the downloads a large and scince we only hav 1 phoneline, i need to do them at night. I go to bet to early to complete most of my downloads so I need a program that shuts down and or disconnects my internet when a download is done and saved. There has to be something out there... Does anyone know of any such program? or something that serves the same purpose?

I appreciate your constructive criticism but could you possibly be more specific about just how much knowledge I should have about realistic figure drawing? I mean, I understand what you said but I'm not looking to be an expert; like I said, what specifically do I need to know? Flawless facial features, just proprotions, or what? Thanks

Well, its a little discouraging to hear that I have to practice realism first. I mean, I draw at a freshman level so beginning to draw realism before I continue to draw manga... might that take a while? So, how much of a "base" in realism do I need, complete mastery or just a basic anatomical understanding? And, not to seem to demanding but, does anyone have a ballpark of an Idea of how getting this required knowledge and skill of realism would take? -I really appreciate all of your help and I am willing to do what It takes to better my artistic talent, ever scince I was very young I loved to draw.

Well, hearing that I must start w/ realism is rather discouraging, must I master realism? or just get a basic understanding of it? Sould i start with a book? Speaking of gimp, I went online because I heard it is an alternative to photoshop and I'm basically broke, and I saw that it wants you to download it in stages and compile and program and junk, is there a way that I can just get a Ready to Use version of gimp that I can download and just Install? Thanks for your help.

I have gotten a bit better scince I drew that, but not a whole lot. I'll heed your advice and practice more to get better. By the way, if I don't use the wire frame technique, what can I use?

My freind gave my Photoshop 7 and since it doesn't auto-start I go to my computer-the drive the cd is in- the Photoshop 7 folder, then the Photoshop 7 icon, I didn't see a setup anywhere on the cd. The problem is that when I start Photoshop 7, it says "incorrect personalization information" and it quits immediately. Is the setup somewhere hidden on the disc or something? I searched all the folders.... If I never get advice that works, is there a free Photoshop 7 alternative availible for download?

yeah, I think maybe you're right, someone should move this to the gallery. anyways, i got a picture, it may look good but keep in mind that I can't draw side views, poses, or actions (running, jumping, etc.) very well and like i said i need some help w/ that.

This thread is dual purpouse; feel free to post your drawings, voice your problems, and help others on this thread; but I'd like some help on a problem I'm having w/ drawing anime/manga too. As soon as I get some advice, I'll edit the following out: I can draw a good front view, 3/4 view, but not side view of a face, same for bodies. Also, I can't really do poses, running, jumping, etc. I use the wire frame thing where you put circles, tubes and stuff on a wire frame to create a person, is that recommended? And finally, I am a freshman (in highschool) and I draw like one so I need more drawing experience, what is the best way to gain experience at drawing manga? Tracing? Imitating? What thanks all for your help.

this happens to me all the time: I am going to sleep, just lying in my bed waiting for sleep to take over--and it starts to. Then no matter what I am beginning to dream about (so long as I am walking or running) I trip in my dream and practically spaz out in my bed! lol! Seriously, my whole body shakes like a dog who's having a bad dream!

The following happened to one of my teachers, it may not seem scary but it was near death for him. He was late for getting to a military base (he was in the air force or navy-i forget which) and got in a peugot with some freinds and a driver to drive him where he needed to go. It was foggy and the driver was flying down the road in (or around) Egypt, his freinds in the car (and maybe the driver) saw a red flag waving around, then a man behind it, then bam! The man went flying and, no joke, he probably died. :( Anyways, they walked somewhere to a base or were escorted there and as soon as they came up there were guys pointing rifles at them. They put there hands up and tried to explain, it was no use, the language barrier was definitely a problem. So they (or maybe just my teacher, not his freinds) were or was walked to a building and in a room where a guy was asking him to eat snacks and talk about America. He had to smoke cleopatra cigarrettes (cigs laced with opium) and eat strange cakes while talking about America (probably baseball and things like that). So yeah, not much but still a near death experience.

Inuyasha anime is ok but the art is odd, same for Bleach but i like Bleach better. The Bleach manga that is, the anime is pretty cool but sometimes really perverted, lol. Naruto manga is cool too.

Hi, I'm an Atheist and I say this in defence of my beliefs and not to attack others. I must say that we Atheists have done very little crusading and pushing our beliefs on others (oh yeah and killing those who refuse to accept them). But times have changed and... oh wait, we still don't do that! :thumbsup: We do speak out against the wrongs that religion has done society. And I too have been called "devil worshiper." Not only that but I have had a pamphlet stuck under my parent's van's winshield wiper that said we might die if we weren't converted to some form of Christianity (apocolypse). What if some kid read that? Someone also keyed our car because it had a Darwin Fish on it. I may disagree with what others believe, and I respect their religions, but it is wrong to do things like those I have mentioned. Once again, you haven't seen as many Atheists or Bhudists (excuse my spelling please) or many other religions doing those kinds of things as much as Christians. Sorry if I have offended anyone here, I respect your religion but I may disagree with some of the things that it's followers have done and do. I think society would be better if we would all coexist
