[hide=Long stuff]
[/hide]Your bank is very nice, much better than mine :D.However, when I see bank pictures like this it always makes me wonder, why do people get so many random supplies? I'm not saying this only to you, because so many people do this. How could you have any use for 112 helms of neitznot? 245 rune plates! 35 dragon scimitars? 90 rune gloves! How could you ever use that many, especially when you have barrows? Sure they're cheap, but it's still a waste of money. What about 365 addy boots?! 100 splitbark sets? This isn't flaming you in particular, but I always see things like this. I can understand a lot of potions, or runes, but all that equipment is pointless.
At med ge price, the rune platebodies are 11.6mil.
7.3mil for the ancient staffs.
6mil worth of splitbark, which I bet you don't even use.
5.7mil of neitnot helms
6.8 mil of rune platelegs
That's 37 mil just from those items alone!
Again, I'm not trying to flame you, I just find that to be very pointless... Sorry if this was long and ranty. And of course, even if a lot of your value is in items, it's still an amazing amount.
It's all bh gear (except the splitbark? inono). It's for welfare tanking/tanking out penalties.
That makes sense. I don't see why you need them in that amount, but if you pk that much you might as well have the extras.

EDIT: Haven't updated in loooong time, but I am reviving my blog now.
[hide=About this blog]Hello, I'm Turtle359, and welcome to my blog. I removed a lot from the intro which is why this is so random. Unfortunately, now school has started so I won't be able to play much.[/hide]
[hide=Starting and Current stats]My starting stats are:
My current stats are:
Right now I am trying to get 99 fletching. I will fletching until I get 99, I get bored, or fletching starts to lose a lot of money.

November 9, 2008
Got 79->83 fletching, gained 805,875 exp.
I am also trying to get all stats above 60. Only five to go! I won't actively work on this until after 99 fletching.
Since I haven't updated in so long, I leveled up about 50 times and don't want to post so many pictures. I'll just say the levels.

[hide=Level ups prior to Nov 09, 2008]
Not really sure what happened to most of my levels in the picture...[/hide]

I'll put the drops I get here.

This hilt got me 70 prayer

 I was smithing at the same place as you for maybe an hour and didn't realize you were a tipiter, or getting 99 smithing then. Anyways, congrats!

Your stats should be fine for tanking. I have 80 range and 79 defence and do fine with sara coif, accumulator, black d hide top, karil's skirt, snakeskin boots, barrows gloves, and zammy book using bones to peaches. If you have bad luck and run low on peaches/bones you can use protect from range for a bit, or get two grapples (in case one breaks) out of the box and go kill some goblins. I would suggest using the best range bonus possible at first and see if that works, if you take too much damage swap out a piece for torags, obby shield, or any other better defence armor next trip.

There are lots of different ways to train smithing, which can make or lose money. You can't really ask how much 99 smithing will cost...
-
Animal Magnetism is good if you range, it gives you an item that retrieves arrows.
Receipie for Disaster gives good gloves, you won't need all the requirements to the get the gloves by the way.
Waterfall Quest gives 13,750 attack and strength exp
Lost city is very useful as it will let you wear a dragon long and dragon dagger.
Most quests give good rewards, you might want to look for ones that give lots of exp.
-
Yaks are good experience.
-
A flatpack worth like 3gp and a yew longbow.
I guess that makes this a level 2 because it's yew?

I'm about to go for a second trip, I'll post the results soon.
-
Yeah, the facemask should still have to be used when fightning them.
-
Crop the images please >.>
Ok, working on it.
-
I was exploring the chaos tunnels today and noticed some nice training spots. Lots of spots for common training monsters, and some new spots.
This first one seems like a really good spot for bursting or using chinchompas. Lots of monks of zamorak here. A lot of monks went on top of each other, especially next to me so there are more than you can see in the image.
EDIT: kingwhitedragon pointed out that you can't use cannons here.

[/hide]
Unfortunately the portal to this next one wouldn't open, so the picture is pretty bad. You can still see the giant rock crabs in the next area. I think they're pretty popular because the entrance room I went to contained rock crabs, and there were about 15 high leveled people in that one room training on them. This spot is a ton less crowded, though harder to access than that one.
EDIT: They are really weak to magic, and seem to drop a lot of charms. Three kills got me a 10 gold drop and a 10 green drop, so they're good for mage exp and charms.
[hide]
[/hide]
Here's a room for dust devils, without the smokey well effect. You could probably go to another room and use guthan's set effect to heal here, or just kill them normally.
[hide]
[/hide]
Another fire giant spot... (portal was locked here too).
[hide]
[/hide]
Black demon safespot. Not that special.
[hide]
[/hide]
Finally, a dagganoth spot. I died here as you can see, so my exploration ended there :? .

[/hide]
I'm glad Jagex gave us some decent spots in this new dungeon, instead of it becoming like so many others in this game. The spot with all the zamorak monks seems really nice for chinchompas and stuff too. I wonder if this dungeon will have many other good training spots, since I could only explore a bit.
Finally, if you find any other good new spots, feel free to post them in this thread.
Trip Two
I went on another trip, this time with Phycopathic didn't discover too much, and saw a lot of the same places. However, I learned some useful things about the dungeon.
1. Going somewhere with a team isn't too reliable because you might get seperated by the rogue portals.
2. The seperate entrances can be reached by going through the tunnels.
I also noticed that the rock crab place from before was pretty close to the entrance.
The new "tool monsters"

If people had been intelligent enough to actually use the pouches instead of powerleveling then this wouldn't even have been a problem. Everyone has been saying "It will cost like 500million gp to reach level 99."
-
What are you recommendations for what to put money on? I've gotten some different suggestions from people and don't know what to do.
EDIT: Nvm, I clicked on something that I thought was the last page a moment ago, but I guess it wasn't. With the recommendations here, I'll go with 10 coal and either 5 flax or maples.
-
Jellies for clue scrolls! :D
Those are kind of unpredictable, I guess, so you could go for Green Dragons for a more consistent profit.
I haven't had much luck with clues, but maybe that will change :D
I've done green dragons before, they were pretty good, althought the revs got annoying.
-
Hello there, I'm looking to find a monster that can be meleed to make a consistent profit.
Right now my stats are:
72 attack
EDIT: 70 strength now
71 defence
73 hp
53 prayer
and finally, 57 slayer if you want to suggest a slayer monster.
I don't have much money to spend on armor right now, but I could probably get potions, and have plenty of food. I also have full verac if there are any monsters that it would help for.
-
With luck, you can get upwards of 150-200k Exp per hour. I've met a few people who've done that =S.~
I'll believe that when i see it :-s
I'm pretty sure he meant per day.
-
Well what happened was the "Smart" RWT'ers stocked up on these "over-valued" items to be able to use them to transfer money later. While this stock is limited and can only be used for a certain amount of time until their stocks run out it's still a viable method for them as has been posted in several RWT forums (yes I peruse them from time to time).
You have this completely backwards. They can't RWT by having a bunch of items themselves. For your plan to work, they would have to have the buyers owning the obsidian items, not the sellers. Otherwise the buyers would give money to the sellers for worthless items. And there's no way they said "Hey everyone, if you plan to buy some gold in the next few months, stock up on obsidian items!"
-
Just search around in the Player Made Guides or Archive of Wisdom. There are many GWD guides.
These two seem pretty good also:
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=695724 (Guide specifically for soloing Zamorak boss)
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=719327 (Full GWD guide, with information on soloing bosses too)

In the items database, the black square shield is listed as having a high alchemy value of 690 gp. The correct value is actually 691gp.
-
What makes you think anyone would use runners if this change was made? Runecrafting would be extremely fast exp and profit if this happened. It would unbalance the entire skill, and drop rune prices extremely low.
-
So is revanent or pker stronger?
Revenants, I;m sure.
Thats a laugh, pkers are stronger
Depends what kind of PKer you're comparing them to, even then, how many PK'ers Teleblock, Freeze, Range, and Melee you? And can attack you while you're attacking another monster? Pretty strong if you ask me, and if not strong, definitely annoying.
I don't know many pkers who can attack through walls, or hit me when I can't even seen them on the minimap.
(Hitting through walls might be limited to the 126's, I've only seen them do it.)

I decided I won't be doing much more smithing, still going for 40 mill and 99 range though.
