I believe it has always been possible, when I first started slayer I got 2 dog tasks in a row. And right now I am completing my 2nd Dust Devil task in a row. So its been around :D

Well if you want the fastest xp possible, I actually would say to power mine granite in the desert with an enchanted water tiara or refill your waterskins with the lunar humidify spell.
If you are looking for a bit of profit though, I'd say coal in the mining guild. There is a rediculous amount in there and its pretty close to a bank.

Meh, I just tested it.
625 yew logs cut.
93,750xp
Just what he said : I'd like to add though that you might want to get 3-5 knives, then once they all run out of charges, go and play some games of soul creation for a, what will be, a much needed break and get the points to recharge your knives. It is very efficient in my opinion and provides the break that you will need to stay sane while you get 99 fletching.

I recommend training your combat stats. Money is easier to make in P2p (Pure essence or flax)
Having atleast 20-30 defense before you enter into the p2p world is highly recommended, or most of the p2p monsters will tear you limb from limb, much like how people tear each other apart on the rants forums.

With 40 mil you could probably get one of the following: 99 range, magic, fletching, cooking, (maybe) construction and (maybe) crafting. And if your really good at finding good prices (maybe) even herblore

If you do not wish for them to explode on you, use a light source that is covered, such as a lantern of any type. If you use a candle or a torch, it will cause them to explode their gooey substance all over you. Which, personally, is not something I want to go through.
So bring a lantern 8-)

I recommend bringing a rune pickaxe. And wear Dragonhide or other light weight protection. Also a spotty (requires 40 hunter to wear) or spottier cape (requires66 hunting) I believe you can buy both of them at the grand exchange. Also the boots of lightness (obtained during the Temple of Ikov quest) will also help greatly with your runecrafting.

Yes you're method is very efficient in my opinion. And I agree with the above poster, use the legs if you are training slayer.
I recommend actually playing 4 or 5 games of Soul Creation, it is a very fun and well made game and is a great break from the repetativeness of training. Plus you get more points, which is always good.

Ok so you track xp/h...
You wait a while for you to get the rates.
You get the rates of someone with a higher mining level/faster connection.
You try out the method not knowing what to expect.
You try the first 10 minutes, making mistakes and lagging.
You wonder whats wrong and you get paranoid.
You know its a pretty good option and you keep doing it.
You get annoyed by the fact that you did sub-par and your rates slow down.
You then go back to a slower way thinking its better.
You lost the game.
Ignorance is bliss.
Hahahaha very nice
Anyway Using the piscatoris method of mining iron ore (requires swan song quest by the way) will get you a decent amount of xp and profit, I am not sure about the rates, but I recommend this method and using the highest level Beast of Burden familiar you can in order to increase profits.
Good luck!

If you have completed the "One Small Favour" Quest there is an NPC in Shilo Village that will buy a variety of these quest items for you for a small amount of cash.

http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning_planner.htm
This is the summoning planner on the Tip.it website under the "Skill planners" section. Just follow the instructions and voila!
-
I would say construction, summoning and smithing. and if you can herblore, those are 4 skills that most would say are difficult to level either do to lack of money or lack of patience :D
-
Broad Bolts all the way, they are cheaper then addy bolts but they have the same power.
Also, in my opinion, broad bolts look a lot cooler :
-
I would have to say terrorbird, it is a lot more convenient compared to the oog'log pool.
Plus Terrorbirds can be used to carry a few pieces of food and a teleport item incase you get into a bad situation with the abbysal monsters before you can get into the center, and if you forget to grab a charged glory from the bank (I don't know about you, but it happens to me all the time when I am rc'ing.)

Okay I'll go Dh the skeleton monkeys. Thanks again for all the help!
-
Hmmmm very interesting... at the whip/ zombie monkeys should I pray? Or just bring high defense armour?
And I've seen a few guides on the Dharoking Skeleton monkeys, so I'll go re-read through some of those.
Thanks for both of your help by the way.

I am racing a few of my clan mates to 99 attack. I am just wondering what would be the fastest method out of the following (stats listed in sig):
Using a Whip, Dharoks or Saradomin Sword on Armoured Zombies
Using a Whip, Dharoks or Saradomin Sword on Bandits
Or Using a Whip, Dharoks or Saradomin Sword on the Gorrilas at Ape Atoll?
Or maybe even a completely different method all together!
I am not really interested in profit, just speed. Thanks for your help!

Wow great guide! Very detailed and easy to use. I especially like your quick summary at the bottom because I, like many others, am too lazy to read the entire thing
So what is the xp rate per hour for Pyramid Plunder? Just curious how much better it is then luring.

Fantastic guide! Once I get my skills to 90+ I'll definatly be using this guide's tips to go (attempt to) solo the Bandos bosses!

Wow thats crazy that you can merchant that well. Very, very nice. I'd say yes definatly keep updating if its not too much of a trouble for you.
P.S. *whisper* What is your secret? :
-
Fantastic Guide! I really like how you took the time and effort to make a statistics analysis on the gp per charms.
A definate 10/10 and I will for sure check this guide out again when I start bursting Lobsters.

Thanks for the tips! And good luck again!

8-) Very nice Goals! Good luck, Both Defence and Crafting are very impressive capes!
A little off subject though, I noticed while looking through your pictures you got the max (4k) kill count at aviansies.... May I ask what equipment you were wearing? (I have gotten up to 200 or so kc then ran out of supplies haha)
-
Fantastic Guide, 10/10! I'm definatly going to use the tips you have to get my range up!
I'm sure somebody has already said this but have you considered using broad bolts? They hit really hard and are a lot cheaper then most of the stronger bolts!
pouches to shards?

Yup he will take them noted, remember though you have to have a higher level (I believe it is 6 or 7 levels) then the pouch you are exchanging. For instance you must have around 8 summoning to exchange in spirit wolf pouches, even though it is only level 1 summoning to make them. This applies for all pouches.
