Last I heard, smithing was useless time=/=profit wise? Is that still so? I remember the days of making full bronze for newbies!

Not sure what that means, but when I tried to play F2p, it wouldn't let me deposit stuff as I had far too much P2P crap in there. It's all cleared now, so I can play F2p now if I like.

Started playing RSC, ahhh this is more like it! Perhaps I should play F2P RS (infact the main objective of re-subbing was to clear out my bank to have enough 'free bank spaces'). I am just hung up on the past :unsure:

I suppose 99 fishing would be cool, but I am 76 currently, 99 will take freaking years. I only play a few hours a week so I like to get some fun stuff in. I am 65 att, 60 str, and 60 def. I am using a D-long and Rune-plate & dragon plate leggins and a D med & dragon boots). I'm guessing there's better stuff out there for me? I wanna go fight some mobs. What can you recommend? All my stuff is old hat! Cheers

No idea :) I just enjoyed the simpleness of it, and the progressing of early levels. I am level 76 (combat), and all of the skills I enjoy (Mining, Fishing, and Smithing) are an extreme grind and/or are useless these days. It would be nice to fight level-matched monsters for some cool and/or rare loot, but I've no idea where to go these days.

I've been an intermittant player since 2002 (2002-04) was my 'full time' period, ever since then i've done months here and there. I am an avid RSC fan, and was delighted to see Wildy and free trade back, not that I am a PVP'er. Anyway, Whenever i do re-sub, all I do is fish for lobbys at the fishing guild. Other than maybe grinding for fighting exp, I don't really know what to do. As dumb as it sounds, I don't really know what to do! I had a stint of crafting runes, but that got old. Glad to see random events are gone too! (avid fisherman). What can this old dog do? (other than running around with my 2003 scythe waiting for people to say 'cool weapon')

not bad, considering the price of other things around rs. Are there any silly requirements at all? e.g specific skill, or specific quest completion . Or is it just attack?

What about a weapon too while i'm here. Currently sporting the Dragon Long, best thing for me? I know theres the scimitar but I cant be assed to do that stupid monkey quest

I've resubbed again ready to plik away at my character and try and raise some stats for my bi yearly play of RS. I don't do much combat and with so much new content i'm not upto speed with weapons and armor and was wondering what's the best (buyable) armor (and maybe weapon), statistically and price wise. I'm still rocking rune at level 70 or so , that's how old I am. I've saved up pennies and splashed out on some dragon armor, but I don't see myself getting 10m together just for a chest piece. I've barely scratched 1m and I'v been playing on and off since 2002. So what's the best for my character you'd say? Stats: Level : 75 att:63 def:60 str:60 I was surprised when I wore all my dragon stuff it was just a few points above rune, not worth the hard graft really, and especially not worth the 13m for just the chest! I don't really know what else there is for my level, i'm totally out of the loop since all this new stuff. I'm mainly a skiller, but do enjoy a bit of combat here and there, so i'd like good armor where I don't get battered to death, but doesn't leave a (huge) hole in the pocket.

I've tested with the [Caution: Executable File] Runescape launcher and also using a normal browser. Same problem. It's weird because when I topped up my membership the other day it was fine, and today and yesterday it's been doing it. I thought it might of been anti-aliasing , but I've tried it on and off, with the browser and exe, nothing . Just locks up It doesn't even freeze, it quite literally just gets stuck, if you can wiggle your way out with alt-tab then you're lucky. I just alt+F4 my entire sys tray until im back on my desktop, annoying if i'm browsing and/or have chat windows up

Even if I logout during fullscreen mode the window locks up. Strange.

When I go into fullscreen mode and try to go back to normal mode to browse the internet or do something else. Runescape locks up and is STUCK on fullscreen mode. The game isn't frozen per se. It is literally locked. I can alt f4 my whole system tray to get back to the desktop. It's annoying that the transition from fullscreen back to normal is 80% of the time, locking up. Anyone else having this prob?

Been enjoying runecrafting alot, finally tregged to chaos ruins in the wilderness and had a heart attack at the bloody mouse maze I had to navigate just got 35 chaos runes in one run. What warrants this change from a normal altar where you just walk to anad walk in, to this stupid maze. Crafting cosmics would still be more efficient than chaos.

So there is NO way to play it now? Not at all, what so ever? I'd love to make a noob account again just to play.

Recently I've been yearning for an RPG style game, to play as a peasant, or someone just trying to get by. Most RPGS I know , combat is the main focus, with minor skills on the side. Runescape is my favorite RPG due to the wide amount of skills, but on and off since 2003/4 i've never got stuck in since I first started, I always get bored, or just think 'the hell with it' and stop playing. I resubbed today because I just wanted to fish , mine an do stuff to make money. I can't really be assed for quests and fighting. I just wanna...play like a civilian kinda... Anyone else play RS like this? (I even made my clothes ripped and rugged !) I hope I can get back into Runescape like I did years ago, there's loads more stuff added, it's quite impressive actually!
