Well obviously its bad. Unless its prescribed. I know a few kids older than me who have to take steroids because of their body conditions. Other than that, I disagree with the use of steroids amongst teenagers.
  2. Do it. I have the whole series, as well as another one of his series, the Mallorean, or something like that. They are great.
  3. I really want to know what church you went to. Really. He created man in his own likeness and image. Its perfectly logical that he created another species to enslave the beings that he promised eternal life to. -.- What did your parents teach you when you were younger? Say please and thank-you? Obviously not. Of course, this whole post is irrelavent, since it all comes down to whether you believe in the bible or not.
  4. God rested on the 7th day in order to establish the sabbath, in which all people are supposed to rest and thank God for his creation (mass). Is god really so full of himself that he has to take one day a week out just so you can "admire" his creation? Oh, and how does going to church and constantly hearing about hellfire and brimstone constitute as "rest"? He created the earth for us. What are we supposed to do? Take it for granted and not thank him at all? You must be going to a weird church, because for the past 10 years I have been going to mass, I have never been lectured by a priest about hellfire and brimstone.

I think Clare is trying to say that her boyfriend is gorgeous, but that isn't why she loves him.

Would you say swimming helps a lot? And would that be 2000m freestyle?

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how many do you do daily? :)

  12. Everything you have brought to this thread is negative. That's the problem.
  13. I read Animal Farm last year, and it was quite the interesting book, especially when each day, you are analyzing what everything stands for and studying the history along with it. Then, my teacher decided to show us the movie. That ruined it for me.

I'm in highschool, and many times, I find it impossible to do any kind of workout. If I was able to, I would get a membership at a club and swim all the time, but that is time I do not have. I am guessing that people who posted previous are on their own in college or already graduated. If not, how do you find the time to do all this?
  15. Couldn't find a topic about this, and I didn't think it fit in the sub-categories of this forum. I think it would be neat to share what books you are currently reading, and giving feedback about what you have read in the book. There might be some discussion value to what you think of the book. I am currently reading Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck. So far, I have enjoyed it immensly. Although the relationship between George and Lennie isn't really the type of relationship I would want with my brother, its unique, and quite comical to read about. Yet, at times, its sad at the treatment of Lennie by George. One of the most profound things about the first chapter that noticed early on is the large amount of swearing in the book. But, in my opinion, it isn't really a bad thing. It adds definition to the character of George, and allows you to create your own personality of him based on what Steinbeck gives. I may have heard this wrong, or am thinking of a different book, but is Of Mice and Men known for being one of the only classics to contain the "F" word? I like it so far, and want to keep reading, though, I think that if I do, when it comes to class discussion, my ideas will be jumbled up. What are you reading?

My summer workouts weren't really heavy workouts; they helped tone my body. For sure, I would never become a body builder. Having that much muscle is just gross and a waste of time.
  19. Unless you believe in the Garden of Eden. ;) You do realise with that kind of rationalisation you can justify washing god's hands of absolutely anything, right? "He's quite fine with millions of people dieing of natural diseases every year? Well he could be saving us from millions more!" Sounds like a whopper of a cop out to me. This is just the thing about god - no one knows. I could just as well say he doesn't care at all or that he's a closet sadist who likes seeing kids with malaria or tuberculosis. It was faulty logic, and I apologize. I just don't understand how people can blame God for not doing anything about it. Just today, I was at mass and a priest from Chicago was asking for money for kids in Africa. People complain about God not doing anything about issues such as malaria, when in fact, they have the ability to help solve the problem. The priest said "If you provide for the needy and poor, God will provide for you." In my opinion, he has a point.
  20. One also has to observe the fact that, if God was the all loving God in the sense that he doesn't let harm come to anyone, the world would be perfect, and that is impossible.
  21. Unbelievable. 10/10 You're account is mouthwatering. Not literally.
  22. Exactly what I was thinking. Heck, if one of us got infinite ink, the possibilities would be endless.
