  1. I bought Transistor on the Steam sale. Haven't managed to make myself play it yet. I absolutely loved Bastion and maybe I am a bit afraid to be disappointed.

Also, finished the Banner Saga. I get where you could come from with the battle system and stuff, but I always play this type of games on easy. I don't play it for challenging myself, I play for the emotion from the story and graphics.

But the story ended abruptly. Definitely a cliffhanger for a sequel. Which has been announced.

Play iiiiiiitttttt! My only regret was I didn't play it until a couple weeks after I got it too.

I got Guild Wars 2 when it was 75% off. Send help.

  2. Lel @ frosts being a top monster for spring cleaner

They have a couple addy and rune drops. It's more because they're already good and Spring Cleaner makes them better. Sure they're not like Grotworms level of rune drops but Grotworms aren't exactly amazing.

  3. I just hope one of these quests don't have high requirements.

I'm getting pretty tired of grandmaster quests and quests overall with huge requirements.

Why can't we have something simple that only requires some skills and not a bunch of quests to do first? I would be satisfied with that.

The past couple quests have been super low. Really due for a hard one and this one is still only RFD style. Looks like the difficulty is only getting towards upper mid-range. And it's not like newbs don't have piles of low level quests already.

The quest is the only decent thing this month. Boss practice doesn't even deserve to be called an update. The only hope is the possible Holiday event is "actually decent" possibility.

  4. They sure make these low level quests like Master+ level difficult. That last sneak area requires like perfect level input to get past a shadow.

I don't understand why they put an instant kill in a quest in an area that's super far out. Especially, for a low level when we're having bad server outages. At least make it not count as a grave death. It's so silly.

  5.

Y'know, it'd be cool if we could treat "I don't want to play this content because I don't find PvP fun" as a reasonable answer that had a response other than "NO SHUT UP GET IN THE WILDERNESS AND LET ME PK YOU". I mean... Are people allowed to not want to have to risk their gear and learn an entirely new metagame that they don't enjoy just so that they can keep doing something that they do like? But apparently Jagex is the one making the latter comment, so what do I know

This. So much this. I don't like PKing; I don't like risk-based PvP. I don't especially like safe PvP either (like, castle wars and soul wars), but it can be okay. I suspect that, even if I invested the time and energy into learning how to be good at it, I still wouldn't like it. I definitely don't want to invest that much more energy just to be able to continue slaying (a normally non-PvP activity) without penalty. I don't think that's an unreasonable stance to have.

It's not. It really should be togglable.

In all honesty though, blocking them is a pretty reasonable expectation. You don't have to do them but you lose a block space in order to do so. People who are willing to do them should have a benefit over someone who doesn't. Soul Reaper's system is a solid example that works well.

  6. I heard on reddit you can turn off alog item logging and it disables the broadcast.

How to be part of the invisible storm: by Poppet.

    • Don't be worth bank to kill and don't be too easy to kill by 1/3 iteming. You deserve to die for either reason.
    • Be willing to commit. The only reason people aren't going to kill you is because you're not worth committing for.
    • Be willing to skull with your setup and be able to deathmatch.
    • Be willing to die. Beause you will. So keep like 10 complete ragging sets.
  7. Crafting, Construction, Smithing challenges give huge exp bounties and are largely completely paid for. By far the best ones.

Dungeoneering gives a stupid high exp bounty.

Prayer, Farming, Summoning, Herblore are the fastest to complete. Prayer in particular.

Avoid most else if you don't need them.

  8. Anywhere where you can benefit from suppletive healing. So bosses that you kill multiple times GWD, Glacors, Kal Demons, etc.

Anything that takes extra damage Muspah, Ice Strikes, Glacors.

So whatever is worth ring swapping for nice heals that you'll actually need.

  9. heh

No wonder I can't buy them other rich people have been buying them.

Shortage of ports armour because everyone and their mom is keeping their plates and chi for the new weapons.

I will never understand why people would spend 5m on a helm that lasts under a 1/3 the time, has worse stats, and costs more than a Malevolent helm.

Honestly, all tradable port armor is on level the cost of their 90 tier counterparts. Makes me sad inside.

  10. At lower levels, yes you should if they're "disarmed" by the creature often. You'll have a lot of spare time to do so since you have only a couple traps

Since you're using proteans I doubt you really need to as they like never fail.

The only hunter creatures you need to back away from are Pawyas and Grenwalls, once you get to high levels.
