  1. Hero of Gielinor quest

    O hai der!

So, here's yet another suggestion by me! \'

Rules are same as TIF's rules. I take anything as 'good idea', or similar, as support.

Summary: A villager of Falador tells you about the problem of a dragon. He isn't powerful enough to slay him, but he knows a way to slay him. Can you make the Ancient Blade, and slay the dragon with its powers?

    Information:

Startpoint: A little house in Falador.

To start: Talk to Aedyn inside a house.

    Required:

Quests: Dragon Slayer, Heroes Quest, Legends Quest, Knight's Sword, Eagles' Peak, Swept Away, Watchtower Quest.

    Skills: 70 attack, 70 strength, 42 herblore, 66 magic, 51 smithing, 50 runecrafting.

Items: Vial, Pestle and Mortar, 2 steel bars, hammer, 6 cosmic runes, 30 fire runes, any hatchet, 875 coins.

    Suggested:

    Quests: Fairytale Pt II (started).

    Skills: 70 mining.

Items: Anti-dragon shield/Dragonfire shield, good armor, good food, potions if needed, Falador teleport runes, Dramen/Lunar staff, Amulet of Glory.

    1. The problem

    Items required: None.

    Items suggested: Falador teleport runes.

Talk to Aedyn. He tells you that a mighty dragon is terrorising the city. It destroys houses, burns trees, and kills villagers. The dragon gives nothing but problems to Gielinor. Someone has to kill the dragon, to give Gielinor its freedom back! He mentions that he tried to slay it several times, with all combat styles, but nothing helped. This is a special dragon, one that's not killed that easily. Aedyn suggests you make a special blade, enchant it, and pour some extremely strong weapon poison on the blade. It doesn't work with another blade, though.

    2. The blade

    Items required: None.

Items suggested: Good armor, good food, Dramen/Lunar staff.

You will need to smith the blade at an anvil, but you don't know how to yet. Go to Thurgo, the Imcando dwarf. Ask him to teach you about the blade. He says he is familiar with it, as another human asked him to make it a few years ago. He calls it the Ancient Blade. Thurgo forgot how the blade looks like, so you need to bring the blade to Thurgo. But, the dwarf remembers the name of the human. He is called Arick. He can be found in the Taverley dungeon, at the black dragons. If you ask him for his blade, he doesn't trust you, even if you say it is emergency. He suggests he shows it to Thurgo. Arick is out of food, so you have to escort him to the entrance of the cave. If he gets below 10% of its hitpoints, he will run back to the safe place at the black dragons. Once at Thurgo, he will show the blade. Thurgo remembers how to make it, and gives you a blueprint of the blade. Go to any anvil and make the blade, with the blueprint in your inventory. The blade has +48 slash bonus and +36 stab bonus now.

    3. The weapon poison

Items required: Vial, Pestle and Mortar.

Items suggested: Good food, Amulet of Glory.

Now you'll need to get the ingredients of the potion. Go to the Eagles' Peak, and ask Nickolaus if he has any Eagle weed. He will give you some. Then, go to the wilderness, to the Frozen Wasteland, and pick some Icicle berries from a bush. Use the berries on the Pestle and Mortar to receive Ground Icicle Berries. Use that and the Eagle weed with the vial, to make the potion. Use it on the blade. The blade has +72 slash bonus and +54 stab bonus now.

    4. The enchantment

Items required: 6 cosmic runes, 30 fire runes.

Items suggested: Ardougne teleport runes, Watchtower teleport runes, Amulet of Glory.

Go to the wizard's tower, and ask Wizard Traiborn if he can enchant the blade for you. He will only do this, if you bring him some goulash, because he is hungry. Go to Maggie, and ask for another portion of goulash. She will give you one. If you lose it, you can get another one. But, it can be drunk by wizards only, as Maggie has put something in the goulash that isn't tasty to ones that are not able to control the magic in the runes good enough. Bring the goulash to Traiborn, and he will say he isn't powerful enough alone. He will need 5 other wizards, one of them is you. The wizards needed for the spell are:

    - The wizard from the Watchtower quest.

    - Wizard Cromperty in Ardougne.

    - Wizard Distentor in the Magician's Guild.

    - Wizard Korvak in the Runecrafting Guild.

Once you have let them all come to Wizard Traiborn's room, give each of them 1 cosmic and 5 fire runes. Then, you and the other wizards will do a powerful spell, which enchants the blade. It is so powerful, that it decreases your magic level to 1. The blade has +96 slash bonus, +82 stab bonus and +9 magic attack bonus now, it is powerful enough to kill the dragon. It looks good, it is long, has a sharp point... it is a dream for each longsword lover!

    5. Slaying the dragon

    Items needed: Ancient Blade, hammer

Items suggested: Anti-dragon/Dragonfire shield, good food, good armor, prayer potions, super set.

Go back to Aedyn, and tell him you are ready. He will give you the location of the dragon's habitat. It is at the most southern point of the Brimhaven dungeon. Enter the cave entrance to come into the dragon's lair. The dragon is level 432. It can hit up to 38 with its melee attacks, so it is strongly recommended to use the Protect from Melee prayer. Also, there are invisible geysers in the cave. A geyser may appear under you, and the magma could hit up to 40! It counts as a magic attack. If you have to deliver the final hit, it has to be a stab attack. You will stab the blade deep into the chest of the dragon, giving the poison full effect. The poison stays into the dragon's body, and the poison on the blade will be gone. The blade has blood on the point now. If it is poisoned, it will stamp and use dragonfire. Quickly use your hammer on one of the walls, and run out. The cave will collapse. Go back to Aedyn and tell him you slayed the dragon. He is very grateful, and gives you the rewards.

    Rewards:

    - Ancient Blade, which has +96 slash bonus, +82 stab bonus and +9 magic attack bonus. It hits 15% harder on dragons (Note: If the user wields Dragonslayer Gloves or a Slayer Mask, you will not hit like 25%, 30% or even 40% higher, but just 10% or 15% higher). Also, it is untradeable. If you lose it, there will be a new spawn at the cave entrance of the dragon you slew. It also has a special attack: Defiling Stab, negates any armor and prayer.

    - 5% discount at all 'normal' shops (rune shops, archery shops, general stores etc).

    - 15000 Attack, strength and defence exp, 4200 herblore exp, 6600 magic exp, 5100 smithing exp and 5000 runecrafting exp.

    - If you have 70 mining, you can clear the rocks that fell on the dragon. You will find a Dragon Amulet. It makes all dragons unagressive, and makes dragon item drops more common.

    - There will be several destroyed houses scattered around Gielinor. Small houses require 30 construction to repair, and the reward is 5k - 15k cash. Medium houses require 60 construction to repair, and the reward is 25k - 50k cash. Large houses require 90 construction to repair, and the reward is 75k - 100k cash.

    - Local farmers could ask you to plant a new tree on the spot of the burned trees. Raise a tree in a plant pot, place it into the 'tree spot', and you will receive a high-level seed for each tree you farm. The trees are all Oak, Willow, Yew or Magic trees. After you planted them, you can also cut them as much as you want.

Keep the RSOF thread alive, by bumping this thread!

  2. The idea has a nice content, but you should expand it. The prayer books would be of the three main gods, Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix. Saradomin should be ??? based, Zamorak combat-based, and Guthix skill-based. ;)

  3. I think the requirement for the dual version of the weapon should require the normal attack requirement, plus 10% of it. The dual version of a whip should require 77 attack. And, it should require a defence level, the defence requirement should be the same as the original attack level. Also, it should have 50% of the bonuses.

Other than that, I support, nice suggestion!

  4. Hmm I think addy dragons will come out with the dragon kite but maybe it could be for a different monster? The dungeon map looks great and the idea behind it has been well thought out, especially with the agility shortcut and the fact that if you don't have the level, you'll have to keep killing brutal green drags everytime for an ancient key if you wanna go in and kill it!

  5. The Cloning Mirror

So, here's yet another suggestion by me! \'

My suggestion is a new quest! A wizard asks you to make a mirror, because he wants to use it as a touristic attraction. But it's not just an ordinary mirror! Can you help Wizard Freaclone and get the items he needs?

    Rules:

    - No spamming.

    - No flaming.

    - No swearing.

    - Don't break any TIF rules.

    - Don't break the rules.

    - Don't break the 5th rule.

I will take anything like 'Good idea' as a support!

    [hide=Quest]The Cloning Mirror

    Difficulty: Medium

Start Point: Talk to Wizard Freaclone in the basement of Wizard Freaclone's Tower.

    NPC's: Wizard Freaclone.

    Monsters: Yourself.

    Required

    Quests: Spirit of Summer, TzHaar-Ket-Dill

    Skills: 65 magic, 38 smithing, 41 construction, 47 crafting, 56 woodcutting.

Items: Hammer, pickaxe, axe, chisel, silver bar, 5 cosmic runes, 5 soul runes.

    Quests: None

    Skills: None

Items: Amulet of Glory (to teleport to Karamja and Draynor Village), food against the revenants and yourself, a weapon, armor.

    1. A chat with Wizard Freaclone

    Items required: None.

    Items suggested: Amulet of Glory.

Wizard Freaclone says he wants to make a mirror, which allows players to battle with themselves. He wants to earn money by asking a fee for it. He asks you to make the mirror, as he doesn't have the requirements. He gives you a sheet mould and a lapping brush.

    2. The bottom frame part

    Items required: Pickaxe, hammer.

    Items suggested: Amulet of Glory.

The first part is the frame. You need 2 obsidian rocks for this part. Mine some obsidian rocks from the mine in TzHaar. Chisel them into a mirror frame. Go back to the mirror, and use the frame on the hotspot.

    3. The top frame part

    Items required: Any axe.

Items suggested: Some food against the revenants, Amulet of Glory.

For this one, you must travel to the Spirit Realm. You need cursed Maple logs. The tree is in the northwest corner of the western village. Return back to Wizard Freaclone.

    4. The mirror sheet

Items required: Sheet mould, silver bar, 5 cosmic runes, 5 soul runes.

    Items suggested: None

Go to a furnace, and melt the silver bar into a mirror sheet, with the sheet mould you got from Wizard Freaclone. After you've smolten the bar into a sheet, polish it until it shines. Go back to Wizard Freaclone. With 5 cosmic runes and 5 soul runes in your inventory, right-click on the mirror, and press 'Enchant'.

    5. Testing

    Items required: None

    Items suggested: Food, weapon, armor.

Now the mirror is built, he asks you to test it. If you choose the 'Look' option of the mirror, a little cutscene will follow, and your 'clone' will step out of the mirror. If you eat, your clone will eat too, but it will only heal for 75%. A monkfish would heal him by 12, and not by 16. The same counts for potions, an attack potion would increase its attack by 8, instead of 10. If you change from weapon, or do a special attack, it will not do the same. It will use the best weapon and armor for each slot thats in your inventory/worn inventory. It will use its special attack after each 4 normal attacks. Also, no familiars are allowed, as the mirror isn't big enough for you AND your familiar to fit in the reflection. Once you have killed yourself, talk to Wizard Freaclone. He will tell you he had a Cloning Bracelet before. He didn't want to use this to let players use it, as the players might teleport away with it, and the clone has only the half of the stats. As he has no use for it anymore, he gives it to you.

    Rewards

    - Free access to the cloning mirror: Creates a monster that's like you and has your username.

    - Cloning Bracelet, allows you to create a clone of yourself with the half of your stats. It disappears after a few minutes, which differs. Can be used in combat only, and once in 10 minutes.

    - 6500 magic, 4900 smithing, 5200 construction, 4700 crafting and 5200 woodcutting exp.[/hide]

  6. 1. I think you could better change the belt into a bracelet. Players without knowledge of the belt would think: 'z0mg wat wud b in dis slot?!', and have an empty slot until they have 95 slayer.

    2. And the Lava Talisman should just cause 3 hits with a max of 6 or something like that.

    3. You should make the talismans untradeable, so they have to be obtained by yourself.

  7. Maybe it could be just a little add-on. :o

[hide=Artistry]Artistry (painting) would be done in your POH, so this skill involves a little Construction. Players can pay for them, to place them in their POH. If the buyer examines the painting, also in a trade, it will see how it looks like, so the buyer can't be scammed. A good painting takes a few hours, so it can be sold for a high price. If the buyer has over 150 questpoints, is over 100 combat, and has a total of at least 1250, and a painting is involved in the trade, he/she can pay up to ONE MILLION. Read more on the exact prices at the 'level tables'. This will only be possible once a day. I need to think of a way to make this RWT-free, though. If you know a way, please post![/hide]

[hide=COLOUR PALETTES]Brushes can be dipped in the colour holes. If a hole is empty, you need to refill it. A hole is empty after you dip a brush in it 3 - 5 times. You can fill 375 pixels with one dip. Colour palettes are unstackable.

If you click on a color hole, you will dip the brush in it. If clicking on black or white, your brush can make colors lighter/darker. 8. Great idea! I love the look of the dragon! Just some questions here...

First, how do we get to them?

Second, do we need to wear a Fishbowl helmet?

Third, do you need to complete Great Brain Robbery?

    And some suggestions...

Maybe you could change the fire breath to just ice breath. Fire underwater is a bit weird. Also, you should give the cape the same stats as the Fire Cape. With SUCH small chance of getting it, you should make the cape AT LEAST as good as the Fire Cape. You could also just keep the bonuses as low as this, and add an effect. Like, ice spells that you cast, hit 10% more, and freeze for 20% longer, and if you get frozen, its just for the half of the time. Or maybe it could absorb ice and water attacks, making the stats better and fire spells would lower them (including dragon breath). I´ll stop now, if I start thinking of a suggestion, I can´t stop! :P

    Anyways, I support!

BTW, would you like me to make a siggy for this suggestion?

  9. Nice idea but i red that some months ago on the official forum. Actually cockroaches feel comfortable to live together but they don't know such thing as a queen. I would suggest a giant centipede. Centipedes live in the same conditions as cockroaches and are more carnivorous. Some centipedes living in tropic conditions have even poison stings in their yaws. That would make it more dangerous to F2P players, as we know their is no antidote on free world. You have to sick out the poison. The food consumption rate becomes higher and the hitpoint level don't need to be 200 hp. The poison affects also all players from every combat angle, that would be good. Combat bots have no chance to rake to loot. P2P whiners happy, F2P whiners happy!

A picture of a "scary" centipede.

Nice idea! Maybe all the 'parts' of the centipede should be knocked out before you can actually kill its 'head'. If his 'parts' are knocked out', he couldn't walk, making him only use magic and range attacks. ::'

  10. The special attack of the Dragon Scimitar disables the use of the opponent's prayer for only 5 seconds, yet uses 75% of your bar. Here are some suggestions for a better special attack:

    Sever

This attack is more accurate and, if successful, will prevent your opponent from using ANY Prayers for 15 seconds. (75% drain)

    Fairness

Will have more chance to hit, and returns your opponent's boosted stats to normal. (100% drain)

    Headslash

If your opponent wears no helm, the hit's accuracy and strength will increase by 20%. (75% drain)

    Slash through

This attack hits through any armor/prayer with increased accuracy. (75% drain)[/hide]
