  1. Hey guys. So, i have a bad situation at my school.

See, what happend was I told a friend who my secret crush was.

And, guess what happend? My friend went and told my entire grade, and know im embarrassed whenever she glances at me.

    What do I do?

(BTW, the way my crush found out is that my firend asked her if she liked me, and apparently, she said she kind of liked me)

So what's the problem .. ? Ask her out. Worst she can say is no.

Besides, what's the point of liking someone "secretly"?

well, um, the problem is that im shy when it comes to girls...like, extremely. :( :( and, im not so shure my friend is trusworthy

So the best way to change that is to just start talking to her. Don't worry about it at all.

The earlier you learn not to be shy the better. Think of it this way: if you meet someone new, and you're shy to talk to them, are you going to become friends with them? No. If you aren't shy, then you'll become friends, and if they're a girl, you may begin liking each other, so on so forth.

In general, the more outgoing and personable you are, the more friends you'll have.

And yeah, I don't think you can trust your friend.

(Just curious, how old are you?)

im 13, soo, yeah, kind of extra aquward

Talk to her. When you see her next, don't start thinking 'Oh geez, there's that girl I like'. Tell yourself to get over your fear, and, what's the worst that can happen? If she sort of likes you back, then there's a good chance you can get her to like you.

Me and my sister. I was not amused at losing my $2 to that stupid machine.

Update my picture with this one if you can... the one up there now is really old.

Oh man I thought Nadril had a girlfrand now, that would've been exciting, hah.

  5. ... be the next great politicians, scientists, philosophers, artists and even athletes. Games just hold them back. :(

... or they could be the next dictator, suppressor, killer, rapist. Hey, maybe gaming addiction isn't so bad afterall!

    Food for thought.

Your right, what if there was runescape back in Hitler's time. He probably would have made a "Nazi" clan and tried to pk all the Jewish people.

Sarcasm meter's going off. And DerekZ, that's a horrible excuse.

What's a horrible excuse? When a person says that someone 'could have been [insert great thing here]', there's also a good chance that a person would have been a horrible person as well. Perhaps gaming addiction IS holding back many horrible people. If you're addicted to something, and you can't get it in jail, perhaps they won't do it then. Again, it's just something to think about.

  6. Out of curiosity, what were you crying about?

Didn't want to lose so many friends that are going to high school.

Girlfriend [now ex] was one higher grade than me, and she was going to high school too. I didn't her but I was VERY strongly attracted to her.

Our middle school gets split in half, half go to one high school and half to the other. Lots of friends were seperated, but not even the girls cried as much as you claim to have. Even if you were a girl, you cried too much.

Some people cry more than others. Besides, take into it that he's around the start of puberty (7th or 8th grade, I think?) where there are a lot of emotions going on that can make things seem five times worse than they really are. And then when a lot of your friends you'll barely be seeing, along with starting a new part of your life, along with losing a girlfriend. I mean it sounds like it got to the point of being overwhelming and it should really be a problem if you keep it up for a while longer.

Strength isn't all about winning fights. Strength is being able to hold back those emotions and hold back those tears to accomplish a task no matter what your feeling. So yes its weak. You cry at a funeral not everyday.

How can you blame someone for something they can hardly control? I know I can't ever control when I cry, as much as I want. It just comes to you and it's really hard to control it.

  7. If a person was murdered, most people would say lock the son of a [bleep] up for life. They're not interested in their recovery; since they took the victim's. It's common human knowledge a punishment is necessary to both punish the criminal, and warn others not to do it in the future. They don't care for the criminal, and so why should the government? Human rights are there to provide happiness. If somebody takes this happiness from another person, why should they deserve happiness?

When people say lock the person up, why wouldn't you? In all honesty, what are the chances that the person who's actively tortured a person for over a year could be successfully rehabilitated to never have those impulses again? Very very slim, I'd imagine.

But I do believe that you should give people human rights. Just because a person kills another person, why should they be declared less than a human? A big portion of murders aren't the horrible deaths that we hear about. They're likely people who 'just tried' (relatively speaking) to rob someone, or perhaps shot someone in a 'heat of the passion', not tortured a child to death. These people will likely be able to be rehabilitated. There's many former gangsters, killers, robbers, who've realised the mistakes in life they've made and repent and try to become functioning members of society.

  8. I'm like Silver. I'm so unbelievably sick of everyone saying in every single thread like this 'Oohh guys I'd tell you what I'd do to them, torture is too nice, blah blah' .. just no. They're horrible, horrible human beings. They torture babies. Do you want to lower yourself to the level of a baby torturer?

It's also very irritating, cliche, and repetative.

Not to mention, in my opinion, a life in solitary confinement is one of the worst possible punishments you can have. Just think about it - for the next x (assumably 50) years of your life, you will never talk to another person. You will never be able to contribute, or have fun, or have a life, or do anything normal whatsoever. Everyday will be spent with yourself, just thinking to yourself, every single day. Thinking 'How could I do that?'.

I don't know about you all, but I'd easily take 2 months of torture then execution than even 15 years in solitary. I couldn't be able to handle being so godawful bored and left to myself.

honestly for something like this, "an eye for an eye" wouldnt be good enough. it should be more like "an eye for an eye, a foot, 4 fingers and a lung"

let em rot in prison for the rest of their life  and not in solitary, either

Again, you're repeating the cliche of every thing everyone has said in every threat like this.

Also, they wouldn't be rotting in prison if they're in the general population. They'd probably be stabbed or choked or some form of death.

    Gah.

  9. Ahh, I was talking to my friend how paranoid I am today :P.

We were running through the woods on a relatively isolated track that you couldn't see from the road. So we're running, and he says on the phone "how's the weather up there in [city]?". Why would he say that? When you're talking to someone, it's implied when you say 'up there' to mean in that area or city or town or what have you. So why would he say that? Seems rather fishy to me.

He also was just standing around, with nothing nearby. That seemed really odd.

    --

I also have paranoid thoughts about everyone, that they're planning against me. Every single day for every person.

  10. I like their rhythms and everything, it's pretty unique, but I really don't like the lead singer's voice.

Ah really? That's one of my favorite parts, I like how nasaly it is heh :P

Read about them in death+taxes. They're really cool, I think. You should read the article, it's pretty good. If it goes down to couples bands, though, I prefer Her and Him. Then again, how the hell can you beat Zooey Deschanel and that one guy?

I might have a crush on Miss Deschanel.

<3 Zooey. Ever since I saw her in Yes Man I fell in love with her. After Emma Roberts, of course.

Could you find that article for me?

  11. So Matt & Kim are a couple that makes music. :P Pretty simple as that. They recently had one of their more popular songs used in a Bacardi commercial, and that's how I found them, since I really liked that song.

Anyways, here's the wiki on them:

Matt and Kim are an indie pop duo residing in Brooklyn, New York. The group was formed in 2004 by Matt Johnson (vocals/keyboards) and Kim Schifino (drums/vocals).

The two met while attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. They started playing local warehouse shows in Brooklyn. Their simple, dance style rhythms and energetic performances have gained them a substantial local following, and a formidable online presence through social networking and media sites like YouTube and MySpace.

The group released their first full-length, self-titled CD on record label and media group "Iheartcomix", in October, 2006. Matt & Kim played at the Siren Music Festival, a free music concert held in Brooklyn, on Coney Island, and at Chicago's Lollapalooza in 2007, and have appeared on MTV2 as program hosts. Their music video for "Yea, Yeah" has also been shown on the station, and the video for "5K" has been shown on MTV Europe, but was said to be too violent for the US.

Their second album, Grand, was released on January 20, 2009 on Fader Label. They have a DIY attitude towards their music. [1] They also have a wide-ranging musical taste, including top 40 hip hop. [2] They performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago on July 18, 2009.

In 2009, their song "Daylight" was featured in a Bacardi commercial;[3] the band, however, insists that there are industries they will never collaborate with, such as cigarette companies.[4] The song "Good Ol' Fashioned Nightmare" can be heard in a promo for the upcoming NBC comedy Community. Matt & Kim will also be headlining the 1st annual KahBang Indie Music and Art Festival in Bangor, Maine on August 15th, 2009. They will also be playing at Buzz Beach Ball 09 in Kansas City.

And here's some of their songs:

Good Ol' Fashion Nightmare (I really like this song

Turn this Boat Around (I like this one a lot too)

So I thought I'd just share a band that didn't seem to have a topic here. :P

  12. They also now play King of the Hill, a show only a Texan could understand.

I wasn't planning on replying since I agreed for the most part, and so I have no idea if anyone replied to this part about KOTH, but it is undoubtably the best cartoon there is in my books. Even after seeing an episode 20 times, I still laugh at it. It's a hilarious, down to earth show, and MUCH more realistic than other cartoons and reality shows themselves. The pace is great and easy to follow.

    /rant.

Agreed. I didn't like it at first, but it really is a hilarious show.

A lot of the humour is more subtle than other shows, but once you've seen several episodes, you can spot them really easily.

  14. I got something else, might have been said before. Mirrors. Ever since I was young, I couldn't look in a mirror for too long out of fear that I'd see something behind me. [cabbage], there's not even a mirror near me now and I'm checking over my shoulder every few seconds just thinking about it.

Maybe it's just your reflection that's scary?

    (oh snap)

  15. http://www.angelfire.com/trek/caver/

    edit: found the site :).

And I know it's not real, but still was a creepy story

Bah, I was thoroughly disappointed! Way too long for such a weak outcome. It was an okay story, but it ended too quickly, with not enough "terror content". It also took too long to get up to the creepy parts. I mean the noise was somewhat spooky, but they really didn't do too much with it. That was disappointing. I was disappointed too that they didn't update it (I understand that the last post was supposed to end that way to make you worry, but still), explaining what was going on and if they found anything on the camera.

Heck, someone should just skip (or continue) the last update themselves and continue writing it. I don't like there not being an ending.

On a side note, does anyone have any other horror stories (NOT pictures. I nearly died watching 'The Descent') dealing with caves? I think that there are so many terror elements you can use with it that you can make a really good story.

  16. I'm not sure if it's possible, but if you were shoved into a huge tank full of salt, could all the water in your body slowly drift out of you because of osmosis or whatever the process is? I'm no science expert, but I just thought I'd shove that idea out there. And just to add to the torture, you'd have to have your eyes closed for every minute you're still alive in the pit of salt unless you'd want to endure agony in your eyes while you die slowly.

Depending on how deep in the pit you were, I'm pretty sure you'd die from suffocation or your body would be under enough pressure to crush you alive.
