when you examine a cockroach soldier it reads: "Euww! A giant bug." http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1124
-
just because this topic refers to this topic does not make account trading legal.
-
a very reasonable answer.

If account trading were allowed you so should have taken the deal.
-
whats that supposed to mean?

yes they have lol

At what point should a F2P become a P2P?
HugeBrain replied to HugeBrain's topic in General Discussion
even if you become a member right away you can't do things until you have reached some minimum requirements. i believe there is some form of minimum lvl or otherwise your just wasting membership doing f2p stuff. -
http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=2200 This item is used as a weapon for high level rangers. It can be used to fire bronze, iron, steel, mithrill, adamant, and rune arrows. Shortbows can shoot slightly faster than longbows, but they cannot shoot as far. Can also be used to light fires if you have completed the relevant sections of the barbarian training. mithril not mithrill. This item can be fletched by cutting a magic log into an unstrung magic shortbow, and then adding a bow string, which requires level 80 fletching . You need atleast level 50 range to use this bow. (by cutting a magic log and fletching it into an unstrung magic shortbow) fletching. (no space) (at least) add a space

Creating 60 or so bank placeholders can be expensive and may be ineffective. You have to predict everything that may be of use in f2p. Also you do have to hope that you don't accidently misclick.... I withdrew all my money once because of an extra zero, so that screwed me up.

At what point should a F2P become a P2P? I've seen lvl 3s in member worlds and asked myself: What is that noob doing here? When is it worth becoming a member? What lvl(s) should first be achieved? What are your thoughts?

And you refrained from taking the deal because account trading is not allowed right? lol just wondering... Seems the only logical reason that I can think of anyway.

When you become a member for the first time there seems unlimited activities for you to enjoy. New quests, mini games, weapons, armour, and the heavenly bank that seems to have unlimited space. However, when a member tries to return to being a nonmember that bank space becomes a disaster. Either having to go through life without the ability to bank, or the tough decision of dropping all the hard worked for members' items. The unwillingness to drop all these valuable members' items is one of RuneScape membership hooks. Have you ever been faced with this decision? If so what was the result? If not, what do you think the result might have been? Post Your Thoughts Here!

I like remembering the old days too. when i think of runescape i think of the song autumn or harmony. something like that maybe autumn voyage. they make runescape feel a little more fun when i'm doing something repetative.

You guys are raising some good points. Which leads me to ask: What would RuneScape be like if the game ALWAYS had 30+ slots?

This argument is comparable to playing sports unprofessionally. I played football in highschool all four years. Our team made playoffs every year, and the seasons was probably around 12 weeks including two-a-days. During the season we practiced 2 hours a day after school, excluding friday, where we instead had a game.. So thats 11 weeks of 4 days a week. 44 days, 88 hours of practice during the regular and post season. also, we have 11 games, that required at least 6 hours of our time. 66 hours of game play. We had 1 week where we practiced 5 hours a day, 5 days. Thats 25 hours. 88+66+25=179 hours a year. 4 years is 636 hours spent on football alone(I also wrestled and pole vaulted)....So at your calculations, for playing football in highschool, something I enjoyed, I should receive £3,180...And that doesn't even include weightlifting all year as part of the program. So with your logic, a higschool football player should recieve £3,180 a year. Too bad that robots can do the same work that everyone else does to get their account to this (insane) value...and not to mention gold farmers in china would be willing to do it for mere pennies. A high school player can't make 5 pounds an hour easily. A Chinese gold farmer can't make 5 pounds an hour easily. Neither of them have those jobs available. I do. I can line up more work then I could ever do for 30-40$+ an hour as an independent computer consultant. My time is worth much more to me then a high school athlete's or a Chinese gold farmer. You are some what arrogant. Who the hell mentioned your earnings. He refered to a college footballer. Seriously, we do not care how much you earn. Might seem i am picking on you, but why are you worth more than a chinese gold farmer, or a college footballer? You are the definition of a joke. First off, 5 pounds is about 7.35 an hour. Most high school kids can make that easily at a job. Also you can quit talking about your wage. You're whole argument does nothing but support my argument. You can make $30-40 an hour with your work(which I doubt as all you are is a computer consultant, which requires no degree and most high school kids CAN do)....but we're not here to discuss your bs. Anyway, if you can make $30-40 an hour, then why don't you do something productive with your time and work 8 hours a day instead of playing runescape(not saying you don't)...My post wasn't talking about people who do make good use of your time. My post was talking about the people who spend all day going to college. Really where I live 7.35 is below minimum wage!

Wow! most of the other posts have been speculation but this really happened to you! I hope you feel like you made the right decision.

If you could have any username what would it be?
HugeBrain replied to HugeBrain's topic in Questionnaires
I'd pick something like RuneScape. -
Does that mean that your not willing to sell it?

If you could have any username what would it be? Name Your Most Desired Username Here!

I'm amazed at some of these responses. Some of you are stinking by your accounts wholeheartedly, while others are completely opposite. One group of you has a better understanding of the world than the other. But both mindsets are completely reasonable, neither being the better.

Hmmm okay, I'm not a big topic surfer I just found it an interesting subject.

In the old days, most everyone had experience with scams and scammers. Everything from "Hey look! Jagex blocks your password! ********" to the more skillful money swappers. Not only should this help you avoid scams, but give you a laugh. Have you been targeted by scams? Post your experiences and don't forget the outcome!

i wonder how much your username comes into effect. mine would certainly be more desirable than something like lej44
