Use the rune wiki walkthrough: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Monkey_Madness Honestly, in terms of fighting the demon, your best bet would be to hide in the safespot until the gnomes damage him till very low health, then run out of the safe spot, charge at the demon while shouting like an aztec warrior, use ur d special and hope u get the killing blow (which is very likely). Pray magic though, his mage hurts the most. DO NOT USE A CANNON. You'll get owned by the time u set it up, and if you panic (which u most likely will to some extent) and die... well.. that's 500k gone plus cannonballs. There are videos on youtube showing people with horrific stats fighting the demon. They all use the safe spot. Watch them to know where exactly to go once the fight starts.

Fleshies if you're p2p. pick up all the rannars, iron ore (noted), nature runes, body runes, dust runes, and fire runes (although fires don't sell easily in GE). fish at the barbarian village if you can. if not, edgeville bank is right up north.

For the first time in YEARS, i got a virus. when i got a new computer, i didn't think i would need to use or DL the old ad-aware, spybot s&d tools, or even my old favorite firewall, sygate, to protect my internets. i thought firefox would be enough, and that the only reason i was getting spyware, viruses, and all that other crap in the past was because i used I.E.. and i was right.. atleast until today. my virus wasn't as powerful/intricate as the other i've danced around with in the past, but that old annoying feeling that i use to have back in the day of computer management noobiness returned to me as well as the frustration of wasted time spent trying to track the virus down. Even though it was slight and minor, it made me realize i'd better stop slacking and actually take better care of the comp. So i'd like to ask you guys, what do you think is the best firewall today? The best spyware remover? ad-aware remover? virus remover? All in one remover? I, as well as any others who are in the same situation as me, would greatly appreciate it! :thumbsup:

i think i did pest control when i was in ur situation a few days ago. not the best way to go i guess. i just bolted mobs all day getting from 45 ish to 52. After i won 50 games, i got a level up from 100 points i spent on the magexp reward getting me from 52-53. you get about 30k back in coin rewards for winning 50 games at lowbie boat. :/ not much but it kind of pays u back for runes... sort of. when i had 53 mage, i bought a bunch of wizard's mind bombs from falador (like 3gp each). and drank em, which gave me 55 mage and from then on i just high alchd crap from the GE. not very efficient... but if u like pest control, then this is one way to do it. :lol:

Does that compare to killing Dragons for money? you missed my point completely. stop with your hostility towards me. i took your advice, did slayer, read your guide, read ur SLAYER guide. if you're stung because i'm not taking your advice, then you're wrong on two levels. 1. i've been taking your advice for 2 straight days and will continue to slay 2. you shouldn't get so personal when someone decides to deviate from what you consider the best method. in no way do i think slayer is not the most efficient manner for going back gathering charms due the fact that it levels combat, slayer, summoning, gives u points, some money all at the same time. but for my own personal reasons, i want to put summoning on a SLIGHTLY higher priority right now. that's why im gonna spend a DAY here to gather some crimsons. :thumbsup:

Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead, but i think i owe it a little update. i did slayer for 2 days, and got to 46. Slayer is fun and all, but i decided to take a break when i got a 2nd harpie bug task in a row from vanakka. instead of doing slayer, i tried cockroach soldiers and with the same amount of monkfish spent at greaters, i got the same amount of crimsons (15). HOWEVER, i also got 3 rune scimitars. yes 3, no joke. So honestly, cockroach soldiers are far far better to waste prayer pots/food/ time on than greater demons. i think ill farm about 100 crimsons from these guys before resuming slayer. I'd keep doing slayer until i get about another 100 crimsons, which will be enough to get me from 1-52 summoning (of course i'd also be using every single one of my other charms-the greens, gold, and maybe even blue along the crimsons).

Why not just settle things like a real man would? knock his face in. but in seriousness: there's almost no way you can get in direct contact with jagex. certainly not about things like account security :roll:

What do u guys think about me doing the daggonnoths at chaos tunnels? pray range and hope for the best? im currently at 35 slayer, been lvling it and high alching for another goal of mine (66 mage requirement for swan song ftl) btw i meant vannaka not duradel srry... i got assigned hill giants.. so far 1-35 slayer has brought me... 13 crimsons lol btw, let me explain WHY i want 52 summoning so badly. its because i want to lvl to 62 prayer. i plan on doing green dragons until i have 1.2k dragon bones, which will be enuff with gilded altar. from what i've read, it seems a decent prayer is extremely necessary for good slaying. also, the dhides would help me purchase full guthans/ get to 66 summoining for bunyips.

Well, i need crimson charms, and the only monsters that are good crimson droppers that i can access without slayer are rock lobsteres, waterfiends, and greater demons. Rock lobsters would trash me, i can't mage at all (lvl 55 :oops: ). Waterfiends i'm not sure whether i can do them. If anyone has a definite answer as to whether someone with combat stats of 70 str 70 def 70 atk 70 hp can do them with superpots, pray MAGIC (i can't wear karil's for magic protection). Greater demons- i tried them. managed 15 crimson charms in one trip. I would pluck my eyes out by the time i reach my goal of 650 crimsons. ALthough, i've been looking at truthscape's chart.. and it lists dust devils as below greater demons in efficiency... so would i actually gather crimsons SLOWER at dust devils than i would at greaters? that would SUCK because my next best bet would be skeletal wyverns which i'm sure would trash me and require a slayer lvl of 72.... Looks like i'll never be able to hit 52 summoning... atleast not until i get my stats up in the 80s :wall: :wall: Someone please tell me it isn't so :ohnoes: EDIT: what do you guys think about me farming the lvl 88-lvl 90 daggonoths in chaos tunnels?? They require lvl 1 slaying i think.....

According to your nice table, greater demons are my best bet. I went there last night... pathetically i managed 15 charms in ONE TRIP. I didn't time it, but that was a full inventory of monkfish. I need around 650 crimsons charms... that would take me ATLEAST 30 hours gameplay time at the greaters if i use pots, etc. ATM i am leveling slayer... lvl 20 doing lesser demons rofl.. i think i will go to duradel soon.

thanks roeckie... it seems your suggestion is the best option for me actually. i went to greaters.. they are not as common as i hoped they were... roughly 1 crimson every 5-6 kills :cry: edit: i wonder though... are waterfiends a viable option? would each trip atleast payback what i'd spend going there? (pray pots, super sets, food, etc)

30... hours? i really hope not.... #-o If that's truly the case then would i be able to reach 52 summoining faster by actually leveling my slayer even though its only at level 1? rofl edit: did some calculations on my own... found out it would indeed take ATLEAST 30 hours of game time.... how long do you suppose itll take me to gather roughly 700 crimsons from them with my stats?

have you had any experience with them? how's their drop rate compared to waterfiends? btw i read your guide. was pretty helpful, and i'm definitely going to use it a lot when i actually start slayer. It would take me way too long to level slayer to the level i need to gather crimsons. i really need that terrorbird-totally necessary for maximizing profits/managing inventory space! :wall:

I know slayer is the best way to go to collect charms. Unfortunately... I've only been a member for 2 weeks and I'm still level 1 slayer (pathetic, i know) and really, really want to get to 52 summoning ASAP. I read several guides and the wiki article on summoning and i think the best option for me is to use around 800 gold charms to get to 32 summoning. Then i think the best option would be to do straight crimson charm pouches until 52. Getting the gold charms isn't too much of a problem for me, since they drop off the giants and some other easier mobs. However, for the crimsons I have only a few choices. Many of the mobs that drop crimsons well require slaying levels. I was thinking about going to waterfiends, but i'm only 70 atk, 70 def, 70 str, 70 hp, and I don't have the range levels for Kharil's (no where near). I guess i could slap some torags on, pray magic, bring tons of sharks, supersets, and hope to survive but i'm not quite sure whether its worth it/efficient at all. Considering this, are greater demons my best bet for crimson charm gathering? I need around roughly 800 crimsons i think. Thanks in Advance

Rofl, the prices have been crashing steadily now for the past 3-4 days. From 1k to 700gp. On top of that, I haven't sold any in a week, and yes I am lowering to minimum GE price every time. GG article :shame:
