i had whatever drops in my invent (few hides, rune dagger, nothing special) i was, however, wearing dragon med helm, legs and boots. abyssal whip, granite boddy and obby cape. so i was wearing a great deal of valuable equipment.. i was at the dragons for at most 10 min, almost everyone else had been there longer. and i don't believe i would look like a macroer to the system, i was talking to people and not really fighting drags in any particular order.
-
i understand that. but i was around at least a dozen people who were either very close to my level or at my level. the rev skipped them over.
-
Ok, so i was just recently at green dragons in the eastern wildy. and a rev -what-the-hell-ever- came along, this rev attaked me from as far away as i could possibly see with the given runescape camera angles... attacking me instead of the half dozen or so other players within the path of the magic attack. what i'm asking is do revs attack players wearing certain armours, or that have certain stats?? maybe people wearing more expensive armour? why would this npc single me out to attack over the dozen or so people hanging around green drags. who were WAY closer to it.

whats the respawn time on a rock anyhow??
-
are you going to bank the copper or drop it?? there's 4 rocks south of fally.

Currently mining iron north of yanille, got varrock armour, using super energy pots to keep up running rate with heavy loads of ore. i need to mine 13k iron and 26k coal. I'm asking whether this is the fastest method of mining/banking iron ore. and is there a better method than the guild for coal??

i luckily had a stockpile of 2k nats i got from drops. any more nats i require i can buy from the profits, ideally i'd like to get 44 rc and whatever summoning lvl is required for the spirit graahk. then i could produce my own nats and boost my profit even more. in the end i plan on having 85 fletching, 80 woodcutting, 70 magic. from the stats i have now. once i can make my own nats i'd move on to magic longs.. any estimates on how long this might take?? (10k yew longs, cut, strung and alched)
-
Ok, so i've decided to spend some time cutting yews, making yew longs and then alching the finished product. pretty decent profit and everything you need is located within a very small area near the seers village. at the moment i am cutting the yews in large lots, (around 1.5k before i get bored so lets say thats the cut off). i then pick flax, spin it and assemble the bows at the bank and alch them before i repeat the process. i was wondering if there was a more time efficient way of going about this. i am not looking to purchase any materials as i want to get the maximum profit.

on top of all previously mentioned methods: -i would suggest getting your magic to the lvl required for high alchemy. this way you can make the most profit off of random decent drops while playing. as well, if you choose to level your fletching to 70 or higher this will be integral in yew long alchs. -hunter! i know it's a bore at the polar kebbits but tonight alone i leveled from 1 to 20 there in a few hours, how does this tie in to money making?? polar kebbit furs are currently 1800 on the ge. bring a teletab or ring of duelling to do your banking and all you have to worry about is the trek back to the hunting grounds unless you have fairy ring access. (about 100k an hour) -bring your fishing up to 40 asap. the prices may have leveled out and returned to normal after pvp but this skill will never stop being a main money maker. fly fish to 40 and immediately start on lobbies at cath, this may start out slow but it is very decent cash for relatively "afk" work. (100k or less to start but it gets better very soon after) -mine gold! you have the crafting lvl to enter the guild, bring a stack of fally teletabs so you only have to run from fally to the guild on an empty load (rather than running back weighed down by ore). $$$ depends on whether you find a free world without competition. (100k +++ an hour) my skills are in my sig and even still i find it difficult to top 200k+ an hour while making money. if you level up a variety of skills that either work together to make money or make money on their own you will have more options to choose from ultimately reducing the boredom that comes along with the repetitiveness of runescape. do your own research ( looking up prices on the g.e, browsing tip.it skill guides to make a plan of attack for leveling skills, lots of the skill calculator use will help you decide the right path ).

yeah castlewars3 only thinks he was awake during economics class :P

in the famous words of yogi bera, "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded"

yeah, i remember in the classic rs days the respawn of ores and fish was all dependant on the population of your server. i don't know if they reworked that system with rs2 but i haven't seen any noticable difference other than spot movement as someone mentioned earlier. spots do tend to jump around more when the guild is busy at least, can't speak for other spots.

not many mmorpg's take years of steady playing in order to achieve levels in the top 10% of players. runescape is ridiculous! i've leveled up over 450 times in the first month of membership. i wouldn't imagine gaining that many levels ever again in that time span. the exponential climb of the xp tables is steep as helllll.. it would take at the very least 2 years in my opinion, and that's with ample help from friends and the knowledge to efficiently train every skill.. but knowing the attention span of the average player. there would be some lengthy breaks from playing meaning it would most likely take close to 3 years.

most cost effective use of gold charms until level 40 is granite crab. i'm about 500 charms short of getting to 40.
-
where exactly is the ice queens lair?
-
with my stats, what would be the fastest way to get gold charms? ankous give about 30 or so a trip which is nothing really. i used to camp the ghouls and get maybe 30 an hour. are there alternatives?
-
How many sharks/monks do you catch per hour?
Grogtholomew replied to Matok's topic in Help and Advice
i think a lot of people use bad math to figure out their hourly fishing rates. we need a bunch of people at different levels to legitimately time fishing trips per hour and average it out keeping a constant location (ie. you either use the "4" dock or the "F" dock at the guild and never change during the entire time). you have to take spot movement, spot numbers, distance from bank, your fishing level even your internet connection speed into account.. it's stupid to time a load and figure it out from there, i have level 77 fishing and a load of lobbies can take anywhere from 2 minutes to 8 minutes for me. what about the time wasted in random events?? how do you factor that in.. that's completely unknown. -
people are really unsure about this item!! i've had the axe for the better part of the day and cutting yews in cammy i've had 3 buy offers and countless lend offers from ppl wondering what they're getting into with a 1.6mill purchase. but i have to say i feel really stupid for not realizing i can easily sell it back on the ge for minimal if any loss of $$$.
-
thanks a lot! i am looking at some serious yew cutting and leveling to above 80 at the very least. so i went ahead and bought it, the test now is how much i like it.
-
i currently have 2.5mill.. i am looking at boosting my woodcutting quite a bit. at 1.6 mill the dragon axe better have a significant effect on speed for me to buy it. a lot of ppl have them so hopefully those who do will reply and let me know the deal!

whats the deal with this penguin course available after the cold war quest? tip.it says 500+ exp per lap. are the laps horridly long or something? becuase with a level 30 requirement it seems like the best option for training agility outright.
-
i've got a recurring membership. so i guess there isn't a rush. my question should be rather "how can i make 6 to 7 mill in 10 days" i'm home on bed rest becuase of a bike accident so i have no choice but to no-life it bud :P

i have been doing slayer as i said. another thing i'd like to know is what potions are most efficient for leveling herblore? cost and exp wise. might camp at the ankous for a while, made at least 250k in about an hour and a half on a slayer assignment. where would be the best place to mine addy? i used to use the spot south of draynor along the coast in f2p but haven't mined since then. keep the suggestions coming!!! i like to switch up what i'm doing to make the money so i don't get bored easily.
-
no. mostly because i like the look of it. i never go on f2p servers really.
-
i have a pretty decent regiment of training prayer range and summoning through slayer which i try and split my skilling time with. i'm leaning towards lobbies for now. it would take the rest of the month for me to get up the interest to finish the req quests for swan song.
