  1. Wow, thank you tip.it community! Everything that I asked and more is in here. One more question just popped into my head though. With all of this talk of platebodies, platelegs, etc. what helm should I be using? I just did a stat comparison and Guthan's helm is far greater than Berserker helm which I would normally use. Is there some other helm out there that I should buy/be using? Not necessarily slayer specific because I'll probably end up using the black mask for all the slayer tasks. Thanks!
  2. When I get a black mask should I continue renewing it? I know that the defense lowering effect will no longer take place but are the stats great enough without it? I don't feel like spending 650k+ every time this thing breaks down. Why am I getting Verac's Skirt when I'm getting the Proselyte top & bottom? I'm assuming that the skirt was only to pray with. Could I possibly skip out of using the Torag's chest and legs if I already have dragon? I really don't want to spend MORE money on that. Is dragon even that useful? I just bought it not too long ago just for nostalgia. Should I sell it again and buy something else that's possibly better that could help out with slayer? Thanks
  3. Lately I've decided to start working on my Slayer. It has quite a few perks; I can train all of my combat skills whilst leveling slayer. It gives decent money for such a skill. I've read a few slayer guides and I've started collecting questions that I've had while reading them. Is there any Slayer-specific equipment that I'll need to buy? I know that I'll definitely need Guthans(already have), a black mask, and some of the other combat essentials. Is there anything in specific that I'll need/want to make slayer go by quicker? How do the "big time" slayers pick up all of these potions? I read sections that say to bring super sets/sara brews/ etc. for a certain assignment. It seems to me that's a lot of money to be spending. Do they go kill Aberrant Spectres for the herbs? Do they buy the herbs and just make up the loss through drops? Is there some way to get herbs efficiently that I'm not aware of? Thank You
  4. I'm just coming back to the game from about a 1 year hiatus. Some things have changed. What is this heavy rod fishing that I hear of? How could it possibly be better than fishing monks?
  5. I've decided that with the New Year rolling around that I'll make an effort to get 99 fishing. It's going to be tough but I'm definitely going to try it. I love fishing even if it is nothing but a huge grind. I looked at a calculator for fishing just to take everything into perspective. I need: 89,500 Shark 109,389 Lobbies 82,042 Monkfish Yes, I know the winner is clearly monkfish. I can fish them faster than sharks and they give me more xp. I'm slightly worried about trying to sell them though. I just recently put 1k monkfish up on the Grand Exchange and it took them about 15 minutes to sell. That's quite a long time compared to lobsters or sharks. I'm slightly worried about fishing 82k monkfish and only being able to sell 5k. Is it because the market is so inflated with monkfish right now? Was it just my bad luck? Do monkfish sell better cooked? If it does take this long to sell just 1k monkfish I'm thinking that I could fish lobsters and be able to sell them fairly quickly. Sharks might sell for even better. Another quick question. I've seen people get to ~92 fishing and start fishing sharks. Is this a good strategy? I know it's bound to raise your income but is it very efficient? I'm simply wondering if it's worth fishing 36,976 Lobsters to 92 and then fishing 59,248 sharks. Thank You
  6. Very well written and informational guide. It actually makes me want to go out and powerlevel mining. It's that darn good!
  7. Maybe not removed entirely. I believe it's a good idea to have the log out timer but ever 1:30? It's absurd. Jagex needs to bump it up to 3-4 minutes. Anything past that would be unnecessary.
