I don't think choking someone repeatedly would be very effectivve. My advice would be to go for one continuous choke. She's a woman. You can't expect it to know anything about the respiratory system.

There's a "bonus" room in each level. It's marked with a gold door. You get a free power up in there. Don't open any shops and don't use slot machines unless you desperately need it. There are hidden rooms too, but you'll figure those out on your own more easily than me explaining it to you. There's usually at least one other power up/level if you kill all enemies/break everything. Don't get the cat powerup. It gives you 9 lives, but you only get 1 heart/life. I somehow managed to beat mom the first time with it. Grab every coin you see. Don't buy anything. The room with bars only opens if you have full health.
