  1. Okay, but still, do you think they were right to release such items or should they have kept the cap at say 80 for now, I mean, people with 99's have always wanted better weapons and armour but is this too much or do you think Jagex have done it just right?

i don't see an issue here, as the 99-items can only be used in dungeoneering, and therefore don't affect the 'normal' combat on Gielinor. So I don't mind being able to having finally an advantage with my 99's combat stats (when it comes to items).

Still, I think it will take years for somebody to make a pic in "full primal outfit" because you can only transfer to little items to next dungeons.

  2. Those are only usable in the dungeon itself :/

Can you show me where it says that, I can't seem to find it.

doesn't have to say that: when you leave the dungeon, all items gotten there disappear from inventory, making the only items you can keep from this skill the ones you get from the reward tokens.. so no primal items outside the dungeon because they are not part of the rewards above ground...

  3. It seems odd for me that leveling in f2p should be quicker than in p2p.

I have yet to figure out what I should be doing to level fastest, currently level 11. What I do now is enter level and complexity the highest I can, and solo. I have been able to complete every dungeon on my own with some deaths, mainly with the maze room.

I totally think jagex will have already new dungeons in development, which should be no surprise, if you look at the bosses currently available: they only go up to level 50+ (?).

What I don't like is the fact that it is all a little random-luck based..: I mean, if I get a good rapier compared to a crappy maul.. that makes quite a difference along the way.

Also, the way that I play dungeons I think jagex meant them (killing all monsters, exploring all rooms, doing all things), does not give the best exp.. which means the tutoring for this skill lacks, and apprently there is a 'trick' for getting fast exp, which one should stick to?

  4. Slayer for me makes the money,. and MTK.

Slayer got me enough to buy some good things and level prayer. Not sure about the rates I see in this topic (500k per task  ) On average tasks always give you at least 100k I would say. If you add the special drops like whips, d boots, dark bows, hex/focus.. the average wiil sure be much higher, more in the range of 200-300k per task. But I never kept track of that and obviously people remember the really good tasks better than the worse dropping tasks ;)

For instance I once had a aberrant spectre task which gave me 21 ranarrs, 9 rune full helms, 2 mystic bottoms.. together with some other herbs and key halves that one task of about 130 spectres gave me 600k, which is unheard of.

As I reached slayer 99, I thought I would switch to other forms of moneymaking, but I found slayer is not bad at all (considering also the slayer points to spend on slayer runes)...

Herb farming is potentially a good moneymaker (about 200k every hour, but requires only 6-7 minutes per hour), but I myself use the herbs and don;t sell them

  5. They should have kept the fire cape req. it made them more uniqe.

Unique? Everyone can buy one.. not so unique.

If they were to be untradable, that would be a good incentive to get that fire cape. Now, it would just be profit driven, which in case of spending 2k slayer points makes sense.. 1 SoL and you gained back tha points.

In my case: no ice wyrm task yet since I unlocked the ability, and getting close to slayer 99, so I consider training some more slayer to try out ice wyrms at least.

  6. So getting tallys of normal drops doesn't mean anything.

Exactly, and even then, you have no idea which items Jagex has placed on the "rare wheel", and which items on that wheel the ring actually affects. Even if you did know which items were on the rare wheel, price checking those items still wouldn't prove anything, because the price of an item doesn't always have to do with how rare of a drop it is from a certain monster.

So true. plus, ever considered that the value of items is constantly changing? Makes for even more variables in your method.

Best way to do this would be focusing on one monster I guess (avansies were suggested), and see the difference on the long run, say 10k's of kills with and without RoW.

  7. Look what I got on my greater task:

Story: I killed a greater, didn't look what it dropped, then killed a second...: clue scroll!

Picked it up and looked what the first had dropped: happened to be a clue scroll also.. \'

So I dropped the one scroll on top of the other for pic

[hide=]Actually not too hard to achieve: just drop a clue scroll you already have before a new kill... but hey, what are chances you get two scrolls in a row, like me?[/hide]

  8. Hi guys, I am relatively new to TIF, made my first post on the "introduce yourself..." thread just now.

Lately I started joining Forsakenmage's cc, and me like  , so now I finally register

I used to look the most at this thread with screenshots etc so this is probably the thread I will be mostly browsing...

Right now I could use some advice on how to include a pic in my post.. quite a nub  Sorry if there is some sticky explaining it all.. couldn't find it :^o
