  1. As your taking the role of DPS I'd recommend you try out that Void armour of yours, you should see quite an increase in damage output compared to Gano! :) I wouldn't suggest you change to a different style of attack unless you have a higher tiered weapon to replace the Staff of Light your currently using. Also I see you have the magic level to use Blood Barrage! although a bit more costly than Dust runes, it has a higher damage output & will heal you somewhat too!

General rule of thumb is to kill it before it kills you (or your tank in this case), so the more dps you can get the better! :)

Lastly try having your tank wear Gano & using magic also, that should protect him much better than Torags.

Uhhhhhh void is absolute garbage in RS3. If he wants to boost dps he must A. use armor that suits his style. B. use power armor and not tank armor. Examples: Torva Bandos Malevolent

  2. All im saying is a lot of people have decided to quit because of said updates. Jagex has been losing ground to League/WoW for ages and IK its the trend to give microtransactions but when microtransactions gets fused into updates as 'content' it makes people see their money being wasted

400k points in nightmare zone rumble. I did not move from that spot once.

    cOo6T1w.png

Makes me curious how many points you'd get if you ran around using powers, flicked piety, potted more efficiently and brought more absorb pots... 1m+ easy. (all in max xp rumble)

How much XP/hr are you getting with Dharoks and 81 str there?

I haven't done any trips in a while but I get like 75k str xp/hr with 60 att 81 str. I use DDS and all the powerups with 15% strength prayer

Never bothered tracking it at all, all I can say is that it's better than alternatives. Sometimes I feel like dharoks is less DPS than whip but statistics tell me otherwise so it must be confirmation bias.

Using the powerups other than spec one interestingly would give you less xp, as the bonus damage gives 0 xp. That said, the extra points are probably worth more than the negligable amount of XP you'd miss out on.

Next trip I do I'll be sure to note my strength xp gain and edit it into this post. EDIT: 65k/hour... I potted super set about once every 20 minutes, verrrry afk. Even though not potted or pray, this was surprisingly low to me. I did use a guy that had black demons though so I'm not sure how much of a negative impact that has on the xp/hour, i can't imagine a lot based off all the hits I saw land on them, their def seems low.

While on topic: Do you know what is up with the points gained per creature? The values I get are vastly different from those listed on the wiki.

Yeah 65k/hr is really bad >_> You should try bringing prayer pots and see how many points per hour and how many prayer pots per hour you use with 15% str. And then see what your XP/hour is.

Why the hell isnt he using overloads? Also prayer pots wont change it unless he is pietying which i dont do cuz im poor. Prossy + whip is better to 90 str but at 90 str DH is better. Also DH demon boosters and whip the mtd boosters. Also....Gmaul the power surges. I get 750k pts in 1 hr 50 mins using ppots. Could last longer if i used absorps.

its so funny so much people defend jagex

Better than systematically attacking them on every opportunity on the basis that "they're all capitalist pigs who only care about money."

Well it is their game I enjoy playing. Im just voicing the opinion that if this slippery slope continues where balancing < quick buck, this thread will have to die along with RS. Also being highly critical of a company isnt attacking them at any opportunity, its just calling BS when necessary. If anyone remembers Me Hate Libs, that sort of comment may apply to her instead.

HTML5 didn't come out because browsers can't support the technology yet so they're building a native HTML5 game client. Probably where some of those real world trading profits are going, eh? Source.

So i guess bonds also came out purely to stop goldfarmers? Silverhawks were never meant to be OP? Jagex has been making PR excuses forever, believing them however is up to the player. Google chrome can support HTML5, which means browser support does exist. Integrating that to a client cant be much harder than moving a web based java game to its own client. If the browser technology wasnt there in the first place, why would the project even have started. Lastly the fact the beta just stagnated for like a year while everyone was kept in the dark and RS3 came out as just an ugly interface overhaul.

People said the same thing 10 years ago too. It's been "dying" ever since I started playing in early 04.

It doesn't help that the past few years have been the MOST PROFITABLE/BEST REVENUE EVER FOR JAGEX. largest playerbase decrease.

    It's not dying anytime soon.

They are doing a grade A job at pissing off the players and making it seem like their money/input is being put toward nothing.

Jagex has to publically report their finances and their turnover has been the highest it's ever been. Ever. Keep in mind they are REQUIRED BY LAW to put these statements out.

Last year was a pretty minor loss - but they claim that's largely due to a large one-time investment into the Transformers Universe game.

Once again IVP has turned a company into purely profit driven. Im not saying they are losing money, im saying they are losing credibility and resources. Failing to implement HTML5 was the most eye opening incidence

It was a pretty big update when jagex introduced bonds seeing as they are only obtainable via real money and sell for 6m in game. Its RWT

Yep. Seeing as trading 07 for rs3 isn't against the rules, is it common for players to earn 12m worth (1.2m OSRS?) and just buy their membership via ingame gold, kinda the opposite of RWT? :P

I mean... I'm probably gonna start doing that once I've attained the best armour and am saving up for AGS at a rate much faster than 1.2m/month. I almost feel by NOT doing it I'm participating in RWT by giving £5 a month NOT to lose my 1.2m!!

You seem to not realize how a bond is acquired before placed in ge

  9. Goal oriented people, like most frontpagers, make it their obsession to accomplish everything

Then there are the people who play obsessively for 'fun'. I really do not understand how some people find running in circles for a hundred+ days enjoyable, but its their choice

  10. Maybe he would have rather been making productive use of his RL time as opposed to wasting it gaining xp. Time is a very relative thing, and its use varies from people to people. I see getting sc knives as a waste of time, but it wasnt exactly my goal to get 200m fletch.

Personaly I think its a lie that he has said more people are playing now and the games growing.

    Where does he say that?

    EDIT: oh, you mean:

We’ve even seen counter seasonal positive growth the past quarter

Looking at this graph... if I was a business, I would call that "seeing growth", even if it tails off at the end. Misleading, yes. But they did see growth in that quarter.

    Graph from: http://www.reddit.com/user/Azu99

Was it actually growth though, concidering the emails were to old players rather than new ones. They like to use sly wording to manipulate data in their favour.

No need to lie when you have statistics - membership fell to about ~460k in 2013, so this current level is a climb from that low:

Actual players (instead of bots) data is probably even healthier, but only JaGeX will have a good idea what that amounts to.

That looks like a very steep decline. The upward trend is just people who unsubbed to send a message about silverhawks, that didnt intend to actually quit.

  12. Bought the HD Remake of Final Fantasy X/X-2 because I have a problem, and also every copy they sell means they might remake XII as well, and I want that more than anything. But yeah, I've just reached Home and am loving every moment. But this is the point where I'm lacking a party member and things get real. I'm attempting to get the Platinum trophy, but a couple of things are crazy hard, so that might not happen.

The expert sphere grid gives yuna black magic way early. Super OP. Also i hate how the game isnt meant to be beat before miniquests are done. Got to Jecht at 40 hrs playtime but i had to go do the monster arena and acquire Anima because his stupid attacks could 1 shot my whole party

  13. I'm interested to see why combined potions is a more attractive option than stronger potions, but i guess saving time and space is always on the minds of others

this still kind of kills normal flasks though because it is six doses anyway

'cept flasks are really easy to obtain in bulk. Id expect the new ones to be much less than the ~75 a day now
