I find that Initiate pures do well in pvp. You take far less damage than a 1 def pure, but you still will have a fairly high strength level, allowing you to get better ko's at lower levels than zerker pures.

I have an initiate pure, and i think its a good route to go for a pure. Definatly get rune gloves asap, or be prepared to buy a ton of combat braces. Prayer is really just your choice, i keep mine low to compansate for the combat levels gained through. Get 60 attack, do monkey madness, then just power train strength. Desert Treasure and high mage are also not bad ideas. Feel free to pm me in game if you want any advice, its sleazy_skill. Good luck with your pure!
