  1. On. I put on for everything actually.

The reason why I put everything on On is because I want to see every single message I receive.

And the noob remarks? I usually just leave them on there, I don't really care about them TBH.

  2. If I lose my Safety Gloves, is it possible to get them back again, from the Stronghold of Player Safety treasure chest?

Or do I have to kill cockroaches to get them back?

If there is a way to re-obtain Safety Gloves, please tell me.

    Thanks! :)

  3. Safety gloves are better for mages. I meant gauntlets are better in the MELEE way, not the ranged or magic way.

Again you are wrong, safety gloves don't give any advantages to mage realistically.

But they are the best if you are below 50 RC though.

If you're over 50 RC, the Runecrafter Gloves are better.

  4. This is because YOU started the whole flame war. F2Pers > P2Pers in terms of maturity and respect. :shame:

On-Topic: F2P Magic needs some new spells. Although it is good at the lower levels, it sucks at the higher ones.

Give them snare, the wave spells, and the -10% curse spells. (Now THAT ought to give bloods and souls a demand :P )

MAYBE battlestaves but I'm not so sure whether this might be overpowering or not.

To balance this, give F2P Yew Bows and Rune Arrows. It's so that Mages don't overpower Rangers.

MAYBE Snakeskin Boots (plus whole set for Level 30 Rangers) but since a lot of members are using these I'm not so sure.

(Again, Yew Bows demand :P )

Just so that Rangers don't overpower Meleers, give F2P boots up to rune. It's for defence bonus, and it's the only part missing from my full rune set. MAYBE claws, spears and halberds up to rune but I'm not so sure about that. (Demand purposes for boots/claws/spears/halberds.)

    What SHOULDN'T be given:

-Teleother. If they did, noobs would teleport me to Falador when I least expect it. :shame:

-Better armor. RC robes are good enough, better dragonhide isn't needed, and nothing more for melee.

-Darts, Knives, Throwing Axes, Javelins, Crossbows, etc. I like bows just the way they are. Plus those would make F2P range training too cheap.

-Gloves. It's meant as a reward after Recipe for Disaster. Gauntlets are better anyway.

I agree with magic suggestions, except battlestaves won't help at all. It's just giving F2P more mage weapon variety.

I don't agree to giving range yew bows, they are good enough as it is. I only placed it AFTER the mage update so F2P mages don't overpower F2P rangers. Besides Yew Bows are a level 40 weapon. Matches with level 40 green dragonhide. :P

Gauntlets suck for mages, so i dont know what crack your on but its not legal. Safety gloves are better for mages. I meant gauntlets are better in the MELEE way, not the ranged or magic way.

I already stated, if Jagex were to update the F2P combat triangle, they would do it in this order (magic, range, then melee). It's not like I'm biased towards one side.

  5. If he was standing in the spot all morning, he possibly was just chatting with friends, clans, and the like.

If you are still suspicious, try talking to him. Most likely his Public will be on either "Off" or "Hide", and if he responds, then he is not a bot.

Or, try the bot following trick if he doesn't respond. If you wear cyan clothing, he might follow you. Although I'm not sure whether it's fixed or not.

All in all, since RWT is pretty rare these days, chances are he isn't a bot. :wall:

  6. Yes, I admit that I dislike useless skills such as Crafting, but I still train it from time to time.

    Why?

Simply because for the fact that I want a decent total level.

All the other skills, I seem to enjoy in some way. Heck, I even enjoy other "useless" skills like Firemaking and Smithing.

Firemaking- I light the logs I get from Woodcutting

    Smithing- Superheating

Even if you dislike a skill, you still have to train it someday. Otherwise it's no good.

  7. So, the topic is simply asking that! What are your favorite skills, from best to worst?

    Let's start with myself.

    1. Mining- dunno why, I just like it a lot.

    2. Woodcutting- one of my favorites since I started.

    3. Firemaking- I train it along with Woodcutting, so this also became one of my favorites.

    4. Runecrafting- Ever since GOP, Runecrafting became one of my favorites as well.

    5. Hitpoints- Health is essential!

    6. Melee (any)- Whichever Melee skill doesn't stand out the most, IMO. Out of the combat triangle, I seem to enjoy this one the most.

    7. Fishing- catching fish is awesome.

    8. Cooking- I train it while fishing, but the Cook-X somewhat made me didn't like it that much.

    9. Magic- Fist of Guthix, superheating, and high alching made me sort of like this skill.

    10. Ranged- I don't train it much, but I still find Ranged to be somewhat decent.

    11. Smithing- A money drainer, I dislike this skill. Still, superheating helps me make money.

    12. Prayer- Even MORE of a money drainer, the only use that Prayer has over Crafting is simply because of the Prayers.

    13. Crafting- My least favorite skill. Other than gems, I find this skill to be completely useless.

F2P skills, so I only listed those.

Edit: Changed title because no one was posting. :wall:

On-Topic: F2P Magic needs some new spells. Although it is good at the lower levels, it sucks at the higher ones. Please, every time I got to a F2P GE it makes my brain melt. You haven't responded to the spells I suggested.

Give them snare, the wave spells, and the -10% curse spells. (Now THAT ought to give bloods and souls a demand :P )

MAYBE battlestaves but I'm not so sure whether this might be overpowering or not.

No. That's why I said "maybe" for battlestaves.

To balance this, give F2P Yew Bows and Rune Arrows. It's so that Mages don't overpower Rangers.

Buddy, I guess you don't know Rangers have the highest DPS. Your "highest DPS" is only applicable if the opponent is no-arming. When I wear Full Rune, Rangers seem to hit me less often. (At least in Clan Wars FFA)

MAYBE Snakeskin Boots (plus whole set for Level 30 Rangers) but since a lot of members are using these I'm not so sure.

(Again, Yew Bows demand :P )

No. Not saying that it will be certain...

Yeah you can get that, might make the price rise so it's worth camping at Nechryaels. Glad someone agrees on this one.

    What SHOULDN'T be given:

-Teleother. If they did, noobs would teleport me to Falador when I least expect it. :shame:

It's called turn off aid... If a noob teleothered all the people who are air assisting on World 16, that would be a disaster.

-Better armor. RC robes are good enough, better dragonhide isn't needed, and nothing more for melee.

I see we are on the same boat.

-Darts, Knives, Throwing Axes, Javelins, Crossbows, etc. I like bows just the way they are. Plus those would make F2P range training too cheap.

-Gloves. It's meant as a reward after Recipe for Disaster. Gauntlets are better anyway.

Yeaaaah...No. Gloves have better attack stats. Yet gauntlets have a strength bonus.

    My comments are in italic.

  9. I'm sick of arguing about all this crap about f2p and p2p. Its all because of that idiot howbadisbad that sparked off a huge debate that wastes space, time and effort.

You win. I don't care what crap you say about jagex never going to update f2p in such a way that they won't gain money from it.

    But I like debates :(

    ...

You went with the argument and lost. How does this make me an idiot? :shame:

  10. No support.

    1) We already have highscores, people can check there to see if they have 200M exp.

    2) Only very few people will have that crown, and if you do, people will go "Omfg nerd!!!" and stuff.

    3) Jagex never intended people to get 200M exp. They made 99 achievement capes, we don't need any more.

    4) This kind of reward will only encourage no-lifing, as I said earlier.

  11. Nice guide, but there are a few things I want to add:

    1) The cabbage-port is CRUCIAL if you're doing Air or Water runes (especially Water).

    2) Great Orb Project is a nice way to make both good money and EXP if you play right.

    3) If you're doing tiaras, be sure to right-click the TIARA (not the talisman) so you can craft tiaras faster.

    4) You can earn way more than just 75 tokens per hour at Fist of Guthix if you play right.

    5) NEVER buy pure essence.

    6) Mind and fire runes take a painfully long time to sell. So do tiaras (other than Water and Fire).

Other than that, I'm pretty much happy with everything else. Just add some pictures, and your guide will be excellent!

    9/10 ::'

  12. Nice guide, but I want to add another spot for powermining iron: the Steel Mine.

It is located in Level 7 Wildy, just slightly north of Edgeville.

Almost no one mines there, and because it is low-level wilderness, the risk of meeting an aggressive revenant is low, and it is also quite close to Edgeville bank.

The only threat there are the Level 25 skeletons, but since it is single-combat, AND that they are easy to kill, it isn't much of a problem.

Add that spot in, and I'll give your guide a 10/10 (especially the runite ore info!).
