Tried this to check the info - I took the tree sap from a commenly found tree in Lumbridge, and it worked just fine. Tree sap can indeed be taken from non-evergreen level 1 trees.

True I can confirm this info. I just did the quest and one cannot see the npc before searching the grotto.

I think it's good to add anyway, as plants do get diseased randomly, and the alcing's always useful.
