In theory it sounds great, i'd love to be in a clan that catered for all sorts of different activities (with consistancy, meaning maintaining a high level of activity within all the areas). But it just wouldn't work, keeping things fair and all sections of the clan active would be near impossible, when one section of the clan falters and people leave as a result - the other sections will suffer due to the constant fluctuation of interests as people come and go. This will continue to happen until the clan is filtered down and it ends up becoming a clan of whichever activity is most popular. I very much like this idea though.
